Pre Release

As long as the game has not yet been released, videos will be published on my Youtube-Channel .

You can also join my Discord-Server to stay up to date, sometimes I am also looking for people to test new functions. Of course, you can also talk to like-minded people there and make new friends who might want to play with you.

Idea behind this game

The idea behind this game is that animals and plants only appear in their native biomes before humans have messed everything up, including species that have been extinct and exclusive, introduced new species by humans.

ATTENTION

This game was and is being developed by a single person.

Badiya: Desert Survival

Badiya: Desert Survival

Only for the EA fans, I will say that.

I personally love these kind of games and have quite a few, but this setting… I just had to have it.

Something absolutely different than other games in the same genre. Those who have played Minecraft (or similar games) know that usually the hardest “world” to survive is the desert. This is all set in the desert, so I think has huge potential of being different and challenging! Also, although at the moment not implemented just yet, there’s going to be sea (and sailing on it), pearl diving, and if I can believe one of the trailers I’d say “Stranded Deep-esque” beaches.

I reveived a key for free, keep that in mind when reading my review.

This review is for alpha 1.9, I will update as the game progresses. I am giving a thumbs up with the following caveats.

1. The game engine is still unstable, though not terribly so. It seems every NPC encountered increases the chance of crashing so make sure to save before visiting any point of interest (area with npc’s). When the game gets laggy save, quit to the main menu and reload.

2. Unfortunately, related to above, the mechanic to save requires building a lean-to. This is not horrible, you can carry the wood around with you, but I hope the devs read this and implement a temporary quick save function until the engine is more stable.

Find your way

Find your way

Find your way is an asset-flip of the Unity template POLYGON - Western Pack

It would take a lot more development work to even make this somewhat playable. There just isn’t much content (even for early access) with only 2 different enemies – a knife-man who just rushes the player like a zombie and a simple gunman who strafes from behind. The 4 small maps look like they were quickly put together with a procedural generator that just randomly placed assets together. The game attempts to drag out what little content it has by zooming in the camera so much that the majority of the content and enemies are off screen. It’s like having someone go for a short walk with their head down staring at their feet and the dev saying “now find your way.”

Find your way:

Who doesn’t like a fun cliché in western adventure? The town of Sayer was a peaceful place to live in the mid 1800’s. Then the James clan came to town and brought chaos by terrorizing its inhabitants. It’s down to one man – you - the sheriff of Sayer, to find a way to save your town!

Find Your Way is a top down western action game where you take control a sheriff and your goal is to survive the onslaught of incoming waves of gunslingers!

This game is available on Steam on Early Access and offers two type of modes: single player and survival.

## Depraved

pros

- love the weather cycle

- great attention to small details

- better than average graphics

- great foundation to build on with improvements

- bandits/native american interaction is a nice aspect

cons

-terrible economic system at all levels (easy medium hard)

at hard you pretty much can only build one way or you will fail

at medium you can waiver a little but not much

at easy not much different from medium

if you want to build only a logging town and never advance your populations status then you have no worries

Bottom Line Up Front: This game will be amazing when it's finished.

Pros:

1) It's a very cool concept of starting a town in the wild west.

2) The Devs. have come up with a great backbone for the buildings and resources you will need to be successful.

3) Replay-ability once complete will be a GINORMOUS 10/10.

4) It's not an easy game to master in the beginning. You really need to think a few steps ahead before building anything. This makes it so much more fun when you are successful in your choices.

## Animallica

I've edited my old review. This is a more up-to-date review.

In the first moments of my gameplay, I thought this game was no more than just another common survival game with bugs and it felt like it could be a little boring. I was totally wrong, though! This game has much more to give than I thought at first. Not 1, not 3 hours are enough to find out all what this game has to offer After finding out by myself how interesting this game can be, I got addicted to it. If you enjoy other games under the survival crafting genre, Animallica is a mix of other survival games, with the animal rescuing feature and theme that makes it even more interesting for who loves games centered in saving animals.

Animallica is one of, if not my favorite game of all time.

It's a survival game with crafting elements based in a post-apocalyptic world. You start off by exploring the different biomes and gathering items that you find to make things necessary for your survival. Although there are many games that are like this, Animallica is really unique and fresh in my opinion.

I love the concept of finding and taming animals. There are everyday animals like dogs, chickens, cows, sheep, etc., as well as rare animals such as Giant Pandas, Tigers, and everything in between. Once tamed you can put the animals back in their original biomes or create an enclosure for them in your base. You can also have animals follow you, name them, and even help you in combat! If I'm being really honest I was sold once I saw that there were dogs in this game lol. They are constantly introducing animals with every update as well.

8-bit cowboy games have a special place in my heart. It's cute, and a decent way to pass the time. For about 50 cents I feel like I got my money's worth. I can't really fault the gameplay itself, but there's frequent game-breaking bugs. I've had to restart twice so far, once because my gun stopped working after the first stage, and then because the shielded zombie started spamming bullets after I died, to the point where I couldn't get past the death screen (I see other players are having the same issue). Apparently that's just before the end of the game anyway. Will probably play it again later. I recommend this game if you like funny broken English and talking cacti :)

## Blood Knot

I wish I could recommend that. The story seems nice enough and the dialogue is decent, but unfortunately I can't give it a thumbs up simply for the fact that the UI is broken. Both the battle and the menu ones.

Sometimes when I'm in battle, the UI will bug out making the items names disappear and the HP and damage counters will not rise or fall. That way I can't know what items I have (unless looking through its descriptions) and I can't know how much damage I'm doing to an enemy or how much they're doing to me.

## Morels: The Hunt

OK, I've only logged about 10 in-game days at this point, but it felt like time to get some thoughts down. A lot of my thoughts can be summarized as "generally great with some caveats", but before I get too much into it: yes. This is truly charming game. I enjoy it very much and I'm glad I stumbled on an article about it on twitter the day before it launched.

Playing on max settings, the environments are lush and beautiful, minus the occasional slow LOD transition. The animals look a little clunky, and the UI is a little childlike, but that's OK. Photographing new critters is still a fun challenge even if they aren't sculpted and animated perfectly. The animal sounds make nice cues, and someday I'd like to play this in a room with serious surround sound to see what it's like.

Fun game and the best part is the developer(s) are very active in the discussions addressing any issues or feedback which is great to see as many games there is zero interaction with issues.

I like just wandering around exploring and looking for things and this game has it. Either it's different mushroom types or animals, or even strange unusual animals you wouldn't expect which adds even more interesting aspects to the game.

You can easily go back to any area you have previously unlocked meaning you aren't just stuck in a linear progression format in case you missed a special creature or the elusive rare Morel that is hiding on each level. It's also not about just walking, you can purchase horses or ATV's to help you out if you wish as well.
