Tower of Doom
Edit - There is a game-breaking bug where the game does not register that all the mobs have been killed so youree left standing in the middle of an open map with nothing going on. The game has no pause or menu button so the only way to fix this bug is to restart the game through the VR menu etc. This bug happens mostly on the first level but it happens on others rarely. I have encountered it roughly 25% of my runs.
These other reviews are full of poo. Buy this.
Tower of Doom is a great arcade game. It would appear these other reviewers dont understand the mechanics of the game. (scroll to the end for gameplay tips and observations)

pretty sweet game! The guns kinda give me a borderlands vibe since they have rng stats/abilities. The enemies have a good amount of differences to them in appearance and types and there’s even more types of guns. I really like how you can keep upgrading your weapon to make it last longer and that you have 4 weapon turret spots to place guns you want to keep or to put a new gun while you’re working on upgrades for it. I think it has potential for lots more too! ( i’d love to see more boss or mini boss encounters.)

Terafall: Survival
This game is still early in development and that doesn’t bother me one bit.
It allows for constructive criticism and new ideas to be implemented into the game.
That being said, I would recommend this game if you don’t mind the issues that come with Alpha/Early Access bugs.
I will have a much more thorough review once I have a significant amount more of gaming time. I’m very excited for the roadmap of the game. This has great potential.

Flipside Genesis
Congrats, you have just inherited your father’s contract space security company! Unfortunately, this is because your father has been missing for months and is presumed deceased. You have a rented hangar full of junk, a rusty old space fighter, and are a week from being out of business. Good luck!
Flipside Genesis is a fun single-player take on the space simulator genre. Fly missions, earn credits, and improve your reputation!
Features:
-
An opinionated AI assistant.
-
A flight model that focuses on bringing back the fun of “space dogfights” rather than pure realism.
-
A single space fighter with a single weapon system.
-
A hangar for you to park your ship in.
-
A mission board for accepting new missions.
Note: While you can use a controller to fly your ship, controllers aren’t officially supported yet. We plan to offer full controller support for all menus and in-game functionality soon.
Ongoing Development:
Flipside Genesis was born from a game jam submission, and is very much under continuous development. There are several features in active development, including:
-
In-flight energy and systems management.
-
A selection of different weapons and components that can be attached to your ship.
-
Business management aspects include paying weekly rent and repair costs.
-
A full voice over pass for in-game content.
-
More ships you can purchase and upgrade.
-
New hangar environments, allowing you to store more ships.
-
More weapons and ships systems
-
Manufacturing and R&D upgrades, allowing you to improve your systems over time.
Flipside Genesis is very much in active development. If you like the idea of buying an early version of the game and following along as the game develops, or even contributing ideas and bug reports, this is the game for you!
It came from space and ate our brains
** CLICK VIDEO AT THE END FOR A GIVEAWAY OF THIS GAME **
Introduction
It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains is a top down shooter where you fight waves of aliens trying to eat your brains. I was skeptical with going into this game because of the blocky style graphics, but I was pleasantly surprised. It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains has plenty of different guns/upgrades, maps, powerups, and different aliens. Along with the six maps currently there is more on the way and 4 different difficulties that are vastly different. The only real issue with It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains is the fact of the camera gets blocked by map structures, but this issues is far and in between. Triangle Studios really has a hidden gem with It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains, from the unique graphics style to the fun multiplayer.

Some games dont look like much at first, but keep you coming back for more and more without realizing why. This is one of them.
With so many top down shooters and alien themed games on Steam, why is this so good? Because the aliens are pink and glow in the dark? Thats actually cool too , but here is why you should get this game:
Game play / Game mechanics: the controls are very smooth , so is the scrolling / gameflow and motion in general, creating a very pleasing game experience. For top down shooters with “twin stick” controls ( move with one stick , aim freely with the other ) this is critical. Not many people realize but this is usually what decides whether the game is great or terrible in this genre.

Exoplanet: First Contact
UPDATE below the original review, 23+ hours in the game
I currently have close to 9.4 hours in the game, and I’m at the current ‘end.’ As such, I’ll provide my thoughts thus far:
1st question most ask, is it worth buying? In its current state, at 10 hours of gameplay, that’s a tough sell, but having a chance to perhaps have some input on how the final product turns out may be the tipping point for some.
I’ve had fun. I’ve thought about this game between sessions, which is usually a good indicator that it’s interesting enough, even in its current Alpha state, to keep me guessing. I really hope this winds up as a completed project (have seen a few Alphas sputter and die, let this not be one!)

What if Firefly and Mad Max had a Western themed love child…?
Add in a healthy dollop of Fallout and you’d be looking at Exoplanet: First Contact a real find for those of you lucky enough to stumble across it’s store page.
At the moment - Update 7, mid Jan 2018 - sadly almost nobody has heard of this early access gem. This game is a serious sleeper. It’s a clever, novel concept, the gameplay and the story suck you in from the beginning. I’ve seen criticism of the graphics in other reviews but I guess that was prior to the last update because the desert looks great to me.

As a total newbie to shooty type games,( I’m more a point and clicker,) I am still at the ‘headless chicken’ stage of gameplay,
I don’t understand if I’m doing it right and getting all the right upgrades etc but I have managed to to clear the first 3 stages, so I just wanted to say I love this game ! The scale of the game area feels brilliant, and the thingybobs that are attacking you are very menacing ! Its the game I always put friends in that have never been on VR and everyone has been impressed, so buy it and enjoy it :)
