TLDR; A horror masterpiece made even better. Incredible camera angles, great resource management, an alternate control scheme for less tanky newcomers, Jill sandwich. 10/10 best game in the series IMO.
! Jill also has boob physics 69/10
Still one of the best examples of a remake done right, Resident Evil Remake (or REmake for short) added new puzzles, fleshed out story elements and implemented modern changes that simply weren’t possible in the 1996 original, all while faithfully recreating the atmosphere and gameplay of its predecessor. Although a classic, the 2002 remake surpassed the PS1 game in almost every way and cemented itself as THE survival horror game.

Space Quest™ Collection
A Collection of 6 Space Quest titles released from 1986-1995. It’s a great Inventory Adventure series that Sierra On-Line created back when MS-DOS & Windows 3.1/95/98 was still by popular demand.
In Space Quest 1 - The Sarien Encounter:
Roger Wilco is one of the most important men on the starship Arcada: he is the janitor! Just when he was doing what he does best (dozing off in a closet), the shrill sound of an alarm penetrated the air. Arcada is attacked by the evil Sariens! Before Roger realizes what is going on, he discovers that he is the only survivor. The Sariens have killed the entire crew and stolen the valuable Star Generator. Roger’s immediate task is to find a way to leave Arcada, which is about to explode in fifteen minutes. And then he’ll have to show the Sariens why they should never mess with brave intergalactic janitors!

Recommendation:
I heartily enjoyed the Space Quest Collection, but they won’t be everyone’s jam. These games are ‘classics’ in the sense that they’re old, and filled with design decisions that may frustrate the unprepared. If you are looking for sci-fi adventure games to enjoy then I would recommend the Space Quest Collection if:
- You have the mindset of an archeologist. If you are interested in the history of video games, and want to experience older graphics and gameplay conventions then you’ll find a lot to appreciate.

The Last Stand Legacy Collection
It’s pretty much what you’d expect - Legacy Collection of some of the best games I played back in the day, a franchise I still love - Last Stand. All the Premium content is featured for Union City. The games are capped at 30-40 FPS no matter what you do, the horde attacks and flashlight lag are still present in Union City, UC has little to none upscale done to it, there’s also bugs I personally didn’t encounter years ago during the Flash era :
- Whenever you travel with a companion to a new area, you can say goodbye to any weapon you’ve gave them, because they reset to the default you’ve recruited them with ;

I cannot sing this collection’s praises enough. I grew up with The Last Stand 1 & 2 on Newgrounds, and never got to experience the full release of Union City. The games are exactly as I remember them, no BS added in to change it. If you want a collection of solid, classic zombie flash games that heavily inspired the original CoD Zombies format (no, I’m not kidding, this series in particular was cited for heavy inspiration), then look no further.
My only con is that sometimes Union City will lag due to amount of onscreen entities. Nothing major, but it is noticeable.

Resident Evil 0
A classic Resident Evil (RE) game 🕹️
By that, I mean fixed camera angles, “tank” controls*, door animation transitions, ink ribbons, red-green-blue herbs, and the associated gameplay. If you played RE 1 (1996, 2002), RE 2 (1998), RE 3 (1999), or RE Code: Veronica (2000), you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect. You will be shooting, knifing, or evading enemies, solving puzzles, reading files, collecting key items, and all that good stuff, but with a twist! Well, two twists, actually. And they will probably make or break the game for you.

Pros
Looks Great In HD
Good Replayability
Classic Survival Horror (for fans of genre)
Cons
Inventory Management
Clunky Game-Design Shows Its Age
Rubbish Bosses
‘Zero’ is a curious entry in the Resident Evil franchise, most of the game is familiar territory except for its partner system which allows switching between characters and defeating enemies together as a team. This adds a different element than from previous games but does end up being quite hit or miss. There is enough quality here to make it worth your while if you’re a fan of the series or genre. However, for anyone uninitiated that is considering this I would instead play Resident Evil 1 Remake as it’s vastly superior.

DEAD RISING®
Dead Rising… where to even begin with this game. Well, let’s start with how I originally played it. I first played this game on the xbox 360 7-8 years ago and I absolutely loved it… but I was always too afraid to do anything in the game for some odd reason so I never got past backup for brad. The zombies were fun to kill, the environment was fun to explore and the psychopaths scared the crap out of me. I played this game for hours upon hours just staying in the first part of the mall killing zombies and even doing just that; this game was entertaining and very fun to play

Recommended. Absolutely. Buy it.
I don’t think it’s possible to truly express how much I’ve enjoyed Dead Rising over the years; it’s the one game I care enough about to attempt unlocking every achievement, and despite the story mode’s linear timeline of events, it carries an immense amount of replayability that’s bolstered in no due short to the sandbox design and leveling mechanics. And that’s before touching upon the peculiar “Infinity Mode”, which functions like a sandbox with a survival twist
! (you have a “hunger” meter that’s always draining your health, which demands scavenging for limited resources if you want to stay alive for long) but without any saving whatsoever. This game was unlike any other when it first launched on the Xbox 360, and in some way, still is; there’s no experience that quite captures the dark-yet-whimsical fun you’ll find in Dead Rising, not even it’s sequels (although DR2 and it’s spinoff Off The Record are definitely worth your time).

Pathologic Classic HD
Hands down, the best game I have ever played!
Pathologic is a very ambitious, very unique, genre-bending, medium-defining video game which does things no other game has done before or since. It is also devilishly vague, extremely difficult, incredibly slow and takes place entirely within one small greyish town over a period of about 30 hours. But as you go on you realise its incredibly slow pacing, its single greyish location, its trudging from one place to another are all essential to creating such an incredible atmosphere and game.

This game already has thousands of reviews for it, and nobody is likely to read this one, so I’m not sure why I’m bothering to write it. Then again, I’m not sure why I bought this game to begin with, or played it, or dedicated myself to completing all three scenarios and collecting every achievement over 70 grueling hours. In for a penny, in for a pound, I guess.
Actually, I lied a bit there. I know why I bought this game, if nothing else. Like many here, I heard about Pathologic when its remake/sequel came out, and several popular YouTube channels featured intriguing summations of the game and declared it a lost gem. Despite their praise, though, the videos were almost pitched as dares, warning potential players about the game’s infinite rough edges, grinding difficulty, and uniquely eccentric approach to the relationship between the player and the game. Depending on how deep you go down the Pathologic rabbit hole, the fourth wall will be anything from ‘leaned on’ to ‘completely bulldozed.’

An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
Free for everyone at the time of review.
Hardware: Win 10x64, 3570k mildly OC, GTX 1070, 16 GB, SSD.
Super laggy on my system; took me a full 30 minutes to complete a game advertised as 5-10 minutes. I see the system specs state “Windows 7”; I’m guessing this is either a Win 10 issue (some games lag badly in 8 / 10 that run fine in 7) or possibly the 10xx series video card.
I recommend taking a very brief glance at the videos before playing to see how fast the game is supposed to move. If the game is going to lag for you, it will start at the opening credits, which take so long to change screens (tapping an arrow key helps) that it feels like the game is locked up. Don’t press ESC; that instantly closes the game.

‘The hardest tumble a man can make is to fall over his own bluff’' - Ambrose Bierce
James Cox has adapted, as part of his ‘100 games in 5 years’ project, the timeless classic short story titled An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge written by Ambrose Bierce in 1890. It has seen many variations since its inception ranging from short story to full novel inspirations, radio screenplays including a Twilight Zone broadcast, TV drama/movies and even music videos including Bon Jovi’s song Dyin' ain’t much of a livin'.

EBONY
i like myself a good trash game every now and then but this is just too much.
graphics are decent but that’s it.
story, gameplay and all that is certified 100% garbage.
it’s another “escape the house” asset flip trash game and it’s horrific: find a key, open a door. find a key, open a door. repeat until you get out. and then uninstall the bloody game.
all that while being chased by a lunatic killer in fetish clothes yelling “d#ck butter!” every 5 seconds. maybe i misheard that but i’m pretty sure that’s what he says.

Not worth even the historical low of $5.39.
I had this game wishlisted and was excited to win it on SteamGifts. After I got into the game I thought to check for Options, but no controls listed. So I went with the trial and error method and discovered TAB shows inventory and the note with controls is there once you pick it up off the nightstand. Mouse wheel to scroll through items.

So Graphically the room was pretty nice. I started rummaging through drawers. Found a VHS tape and thought things were about to get good. I must be dumb because I put it into the VCR and just got white noise or black screen.

RED EVIL
Fun little foundation, this dev seems to be sincere and getting better with each small game project. It could, of course, use a lot of content and expansion but good fun for the price. It seems the dev is increasing both ability and experience and it shows. I could see a big expansive game using these basic foundations and it being a good time. Maybe they will continue to work on this game and expanding it’s content and features. Well worth the price imo.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl is slavjank at its finest. While the game has aged relatively well, one must still keep in mind that this is a game produced with shoestring budget and had a somewhat troubled development cycle. The caveats in mind, STALKER is an excellent semi-open world shooty-survival-y romp with a decent story to it. The story is told through a few cutscenes, but mostly through either someone radioning you and telling something has happened, or through a dialog box before or after a mission.

Honestly an absolute legend all around, theres always things you’ve missed or hidden spots you havent experienced after you’ve played the game leagues of times, and the lore only goes deeper from here. One of my favorite games of all time, and the beginning to a legendary series.
