Apocalyptic Adventure: Episode 1

Apocalyptic Adventure: Episode 1

A Gem, yet to be Found

As the store page states it, this game is made by a small team and is designated as an early access title. But early access is not the right word for what we got here so far. Think about Apocalyptic Adventure: Episode 1 as an advanced Demo of what this series might can become in the near future. The coremechanics are already fleshed out, the menu and backpack system is on a good way, Your inventory, which can be grabbed from your back, works as you place it in the world intuitively. Especially while crafting weapons and tools at one of the many workbenches, you get a feeling for the intuitive “grabbing in the bag” to get your resourcess. In addition to the backpack storage on your back for big things, the player got a small pouch on the lef hip in which utility items, like stones, bombs and ammo can be stored and quickly acessed. To get rid of the infected hordes which come at you as you progress threw the map, the player mostly relies on melee combat. While beeing able to use your fists to push the infected away, the game tells you quite early that the use of tools, handcrafted weapons and traps are the way to go against the undead. Handgun combat is also part of the game, while ammo is always low and it is meant as the last devestating defence in the most tragic situations.

The Deed of Deception

The Deed of Deception

The Deed of Deception starts as a 4-player cooperative puzzle game. Working together to find the deed and inherit your fortune. Once the deed is discovered the players realize that there is no inheritance to be had. There is something in this manor. Something ancient, something…evil. The player who finds the deed becomes possessed. Given special abilities and powers with the singular mission of trapping their friends and stealing their souls to fuel the evil in this place. The gameplay changes based on the type of possession the manor decides to use. Each variation offers different abilities. Sometimes using the element of deception to trick or brute strength to overpower. The souls of those who have been trapped try to help any way they can. Maybe giving items, or hints. Anything they can to help those escape where they failed.

Fire and Brimstone

The possessed is given the power to wield ethereal flame. The flames consume the manor slowly creeping from room to room as he lays traps for the panicked players to step in and succumb to the flame while they search for the ingredients to the potion to extinguish the flame with the help of the spirits in the manor.

The Grog

An ancient pet of Beelzebub himself inhabits the body of the possessed. The grog can freeze the players in fear. Unable to move. The only thing that can stop the grog is holy light and the players must find all of the broken pieces of the holy lantern before the grog freezes everyone.

_The Manor is calling for you, will you answer? Uncle Barnabas sadly met his maker. Before he left this plane, he designed several puzzles and challenges to test his relatives and find a fit heir to take possession of his fortune. Finding the deed within the house will be the answer to your players. Strangely you don’t remember your uncle. At least not until this strange butler came to tell you of his last will and testament. But you go because, why not? The promise of riches is far too tempting to let go…

The deed is more than paper and ink. It is something ancient. Something …. Evil. Promising possession of unimaginable riches but the possession is not of things. IT, this place, possesses you. Manifesting the evil within these walls into the poor soul who stumbles upon and awakens it. This manor means to unleash the evils from other dimensions into our world. They need the life force of you and your friends to open their gate. They have almost completed their work and you are all that stand in the way of this unimaginable plan. Can you stop them?_

-15+ variations of possessions for an endless playthrough

  • Randomized room generation. The manor will be a new layout each time you play

  • Character specific stats making your character selection an important strategic aspect

  • cross-platform(Steam, Oculus, PSVR)

Radio Commander VR

Radio Commander VR

Radio Commander now in VR! Experience one of the most innovative strategy games of 2019 in a virtual reality. Be there, right next to the battlefield, in a commander’s tent in the middle of a Vietnamese jungle. Step into the shoes of an experienced leader and lead your soldiers to victory… or at least give them a chance to survive the Vietnam hell.

In Radio Commander VR you are playing as an American military commander serving in US Army during the Vietnam War. You will be carrying a heavy burden as

your mission is to coordinate military operations taking place between 1965 and 1968.

WHY VR?

Since day one we dreamt about VR version of Radio Commander. Our goal was to offer players the most realistic and immersive Vietnam War experience on the market. VR technology gave us the chance to transfer the player in the heart of the action – right to the center of the South Vietnam of the ‘60, into a commander’s tent, where he can control US troops fighting with the enemy. Look around the tent and the base. Lean over the map. Move your tokens manually and operate the radio. Become true Radio Commander.

But this is not just another RTS, in which you are an invisible being hovering over the battlefield. In Radio Commander VR situation reports are given to you in form of dramatic radio statements sent by troops fighting on the ground. And your only accessory is a strategic map, on which you can place tokens and notes.

UNIQUE VIEW ON REALISM

Radio Commander VR offers an unique experience very different from classic real time strategy games. It’s a bold try to redefine the genre, as the player will be involved in a decision-making process much more realistic than those pictured by casual RTS titles. Ask for situation reports. Listen what your men have to tell you. Send evac choppers and nape drops. Defeat the invisible enemy.

DIVE INTO THE STORY

Experience the story of soldiers and their commander, trapped in the middle of bloody, chaotic, morally ambiguous Vietnam conflict. Let yourself sink into a Vietnamese jungle – thanks to the VR technology now more realistic and immersive than ever before! Dive into a scenario that doesn’t avoid the difficult issues of civilians trapped in the theater of action, shady CIA operations, and cynical political pressures. Discover those uneasy situations, presented in such cult classics as Platoon, Full Metal Jacket or Apocalypse Now, which were happening on a daily basis for those serving in Vietnam. See for yourself how hard it is to make the right choices in the middle of a fire exchange with Vietcong.

DECIDE WHO LIVES AND DIES

Decide the fate of your soldiers. The choices you face will have a direct impact on the course of the game. They will also define views of your hero. Or maybe those are your views? Playing Radio Commander VR you must be prepared to answer tough questions about the righteousness of your actions, the price of a human life, and the toxic power of propaganda and stereotypes.

USE YOUR IMAGINATION

Radio Commander VR is not another empty action game. Thanks to the VR glasses you will be right there, operating from a commander’s tent, using only a radio and a map. You will be staring at the map for hours, listening carefully to the reports. Your decisions will affect lives of many people. Just like in real life, there are no fancy graphics and animations to help you imagine what’s happening on battlefield. Only you, your map, and skills. You have to listen and be smart. Thanks to this and your fancy VR set, level of immersion is much greater than in normal real time strategy games.

CHOOSE BETWEEN VARIOUS MEANS

You will take under your command not only units of infantry, air cavalry or field artillery, but also powerful units of air support. It’s in your will to order the jungle-burning nape drops, or devastating bombings. Are you ready to bring the rain of fire and burn the enemy positions to the ground? Are you sure that your soldiers are far enough and won’t take damages? And do the ends always justify the means?

EXPERIENCE DEEP IN-GAME SYSTEMS

Beneath the narrative layer, hidden from your eyes, a deep and complex simulation is taking place. In Radio Commander VR every unit is described by unique set of statistics. You will have to worry about your platoons’ morale, supplies, and even their stamina. All those factors will be important during your soldiers’ confrontations with enemy, unfriendly terrain and extreme Vietnamese climate. What will you do, when your choppers report, that they are out of fuel and forced to land in the middle of the jungle? Will you send the rescue mission risking the life of even more soldiers?

BOND WITH YOUR BROTHERS IN ARMS

Troops under your command are not just pawns on the map. They are complicated, multi-layered human beings, with their own voices, problems, strengths and weaknesses. Mutual trust is essential. They depend on your judgment and cool decisions, while you are hoping they’re giving their best. Discover hundreds of original dialogues and scenarios. Replay previously completed missions and alter the course of events by making different decisions and encountering different events.

HOURS OF GAME EXPERIENCE

Radio Commander VR includes:

  • 9 main campaign missions (every mission is possible to complete in several different ways),

  • 9 animated briefings,

  • 15 unit types, including: infantry, evac choppers, gunships, field artillery, aerial reconnaissance, M113 armored personnel carriers, and napalm-carrying F4 Phantom jets (every unit is described by a unique set of statistics and communicates with commander using a different voice),

  • full voice over,

  • over 200 dialogue blocks, used to construct radio messages,

  • over 600 story dialogues between units and the commander.

READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU’VE NEVER USED AN EMULATOR BEFORE:

my mind has been blown. im surprised at how little attention this has. as of now product is 2% positive reviews away from “overwhelmingly positive” and rightfully so (i hope it makes it there c:). First off i would like to emphasize that this is not a game but an emulator. A very very nice emulator on steroids. i would akin it more as software that you use to run other games. 3Dsen does not come with these games but it will greatly enhance them if you download the games (via a simple google search) and run them with 3Dsen. their very easy to download if i want super mario bro 3 i just google “super mario bro 3 nes download” and boom there it is.

3DSENVR breathes new life into old classics. Duck Hunt makes for a respectable target shooter in VR. That’s right: Duck Hunt… a game that came out in 1984… is a FUN VR GAME now.

Even stuff that kind of sucked… at the time it came out… is now modernized into a total blast to play: A 1983 Pinball game I otherwise wouldn’t have given ANY thought to as an 8-year-old kid is freaking MAGICAL now. To be clear: I had ZERO nostalgic feelings for that title… but now it’s one of my favorite 3DSENVR games.

Ancient Code VR( The Fantasy Egypt Journey)

Ancient Code VR( The Fantasy Egypt Journey)

I played this on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers, works fine

I think there are supposed to be four mini-games. However, I was only able to play 3. The fourth one seems to be locked for some unknown reason. I was able to beat 2 of the 3 mini-games, but not the third and I’m not sure if you have to beat all of them to unlock the 4th. I really have no idea on why it is locked or why it is not working.

The first game you are catching or grabbing balls and throwing them at one of the four corners that match the color of the ball. The second game you are using a bow and colored ball (arrow) and shooting the ball to match 3 or more of the same colored balls. There is a laser pointer to help with the aim. You arm will hurt from shooting balls.

POLICE RESPONSE VR : DISTURBANCE

POLICE RESPONSE VR : DISTURBANCE

summary ; if you are just after a police shoot em' up then this isn’t for you. if however you are after an experience that may make you think a lot more than you were expecting then give this a go. In my opinion this is A GEM and ONE OF A KIND.**I should also mention that this game definitely has the potential for some rather confronting encounters, i myself have so far encountered things such as suicide by cop, what appeared to be a mentally ill person who had a firearm and i was forced to fire etc. This game can be very confronting at times but i think that is what makes it such a worthwhile experience.**I’m not sure you can call this a game as much as you’d call it an emulator. It tries to portray the kinds of situations police officers and other law enforcement/security personnel might be confronted with. You never know what you’ll be facing until it’s over, there’s often barely time to think before you have to decide which amount of force to apply to any of the scenarios. I found myself being sentenced for murder because the assailant pushed my partner and ran toward me with what i was convinced was a knife… it turned out to be a pair of handcuffs that were placed on him by my partner… It made me realise, with every failure i had, and there were a few, (i’m on playthrough 15 at this point i’m sure) that it’s never as easy for police as the media and the internet make it look.Overall, i think this “game” is so much more than you may think at first glance. While it still has it’s fair share of gameplay issues It really makes you think about what’s happening and i think that’s beautiful. I hope that this review helped you make up your mind about this experience. Given the low price tag i think you’d be silly not to pick it up and experience it for yourself.

This really ain’t a haha shoot bad guy kinda thing. It’s not exactly “standard simulator” for me, since those are usually more slow paced and need you to do more things. This is a fast pace sim, where you do slightly less things, but at a higher pace. At this price, def get this game. For me personally, I’d like more situations, like an active shooter situation, or a high speed chase or something like that. Since each level is randomly generated, I don’t care if it’s built like a rougelike, since you don’t loose or gain anything from dying, and there isn’t a “Level 1” and “Level 30”, your first time could be an intense shoot out and the last one before retirement (which is basically “YOU WON!” in this game) could be you just knocking on the door once and leaving.

Azlan: Rise of the Burlpups

It’s a simple tower defense game, but a good looking one.

Would rate neutral if Steam allowed that, but they are still in computing middle-age so it’s either yay or nay… let’s call it a yay for a rather casual, cute game.

I’ll agree with Masamune27858 that this isn’t a “good” TD game. The core gameplay is just too simple. However, I don’t think it’s a bad game, it’s just not what someone who is experienced in TD games would be looking for. I do think this game would be nice for someone new to Tower Defense games.

It’s a very beautiful game. In fact, it it’s probably the best looking TD game in VR. The art-style looks really good and they would be pleasant just as VR dioramas to enjoy. The gameplay is basically just playing down one of three towers, plus upgrading or selling them. You also have a hero that you can place to help put down the enemy siege.
