Arcadia: The Crystal Wars
Arcadia: The Crystal Wars is an open-world, squad-based fusion of role playing and strategy, combining traditional RPG elements such as character skills, talents, quests, dungeons, and raids with strategic base-building, farming, and crafting. Explore the world of Arcadia in non-linear fashion as a single character, or recruit up to 20 characters and dive into the rich storyline while taking an active part in shaping the outcome of the Crystal Wars.
Features:
-
Dive into the Quest Driven Story
Arcadia also offers a rich story that you can dive into at any time. The unique, hand written quests will take you from city to city, meeting unique characters, exploring dungeons and raids to retrieve artifacts, and helping to guide the outcome of the Crystal Wars as you see fit. Will you fight alongside Tech Commander Kyber, to rid the world of the Crystal’s corruption? Or will you seek out the Etir, to understand the Crystal at its' source? The choices you make will decide the fate of Arcadia.
-
Explore an Open World
Looking for a non-linear experience? Then Arcadia is your sandbox. Just because the factions are engaged in the Crystal War, does not mean that you have to. Would you rather be a lone adventurer, seeking the challenges of dungeons and raids? Or a trader, developing trade routes and settlements and only using combat as a means to defend yourself? You have the freedom to make up your own story.
-
Unlock Powerful Magic or Advanced Technology
As you explore Arcadia, you will undoubtedly encounter the power of the Crystal. Using special techniques, the power of the Crystal can either be consumed directly by your characters to unlock powerful magic or be harnessed and used as a power source to power advanced technology. Whichever you choose, your characters will gain new abilities as well as physically change. The more power they acquire, the greater the physical transformation.
-
Character Customization
Each character within your faction has a set of skills related to Combat, Crafting, and Labor. It’s up to you how to train them and what talents they acquire. Do you want a solder, capable of wielding heavy armor into battle during war but also able to craft the finest armor in the game? Or how about a farmer, wearing light armor yet when combat calls wields the most power magic to heal your allies and decimate your enemies? The choice is yours
-
Unique Character Races
Arcadia offers four unique character races that you can create and recruit into your faction. While each race has strengths and weaknesses in terms of starting skill level and rate of experience gain, the ultimate path of each character you control is completely up to you. Has a powerful Rhingar, who has trained with one handed weapons and shields to defend her allies, offered to join your faction but you need a armorsmith? So be it, recruit her and take advantage of her racial bonus in Armor Crafting, while also being capable of defending your settlements from attack.
-
Develop Settlements
Whether you control one character or twenty, you’ll want to consider developing settlements to fuel your adventures. Perhaps you only need a single base camp, with a place to rest and to cook food? Or maybe you are ready to take an active role in the Crystal Wars and want multiple strategic base locations where you have farms to feed your troops and forges to craft armor and weapons.
-
Explore Dungeons and Raids
It’s been said that great riches and power can be found in the most difficult of locations. Arcadia is no exception. Take up to five of your characters as you dive into one of five dungeons, each with unique enemy types and scripted boss fights or brave it all and take up to 10 of your characters to fight in one of five raids.

Nocked! True Tales of Robin Hood
The game Nocked! has you taking on the role of Robin Hood set in a world where myth and magic still has a foothold. You start out as a runaway who takes to Sherwood forest to claim their future.
The game itself contains elements of interactive fiction (think choose your own adventure) as well as resource management. In fact, this was the stand out portion for me.
The first thing you will notice is that you can choose the gender of your Robin, and even some limited background choices which will have some game affects. Additionally, the character of Maid Marian even has some variation which can affect play.

A really nice CYOA game. It actually reminded me of Mass Effect 2, in that you have a base and companions, and your choices have long-term impact (otherwise it’s entirely dissimilar to ME2; see any screenshot).
There are healthy doses of whimsy in the setting and humour in the writing, and it mixes classic Robin Hood story beats in with more fantastical stuff. It’s comfy and tense, and perfectly paced. The music is also wonderful.
My only gripes are minor (despite this being the biggest paragraph): some of the art is quite bad (the character silhouettes work well, but some of the other stuff looks like programmer art) and the overall graphic design could use work. This is all just window dressing though and doesn’t really matter*. A bigger annoyance is that the checkpoints are a bit far apart for more my liking–I appreciate it discouraging save scumming, but there were a couple of times when I misunderstood an option so badly that I felt unfairly shafted by choosing it, in which case I rolled back and lost lots of progress. The last thing that left a bad taste was the ending: it felt like I had no way of knowing the implications of some of the choices.

幻灵岛(Fantasy Sprite Island)
Fantasy Sprite Island
Fantasy Sprite Island is a collection of spirit capture training, home construction, copy adventure and other business development type of game. In the game, players can set up spirit teams to conquer different areas of the magic island, discover and unlock different function points on the island. Build your own home and arrange for elves to do different jobs. You can also try leisure games, or training incubation, cultivate powerful elves, and finally challenge the endless city and eternal arena.
- Form a spirit
In the first version of the game, there are more than 100 kinds of spirits in different shapes, which live in various areas of the island. Elves of different races have their own race value, skill pool and talent pool, so some of them are good at fighting, some are good at entertainment, and some are good at work… Reasonable arrangement and management of them for different work or combat combination will get better effect.
- Spirit skills
The elves in the island will get a chance to learn skills every ten levels. They will randomly choose two skills from their skill pool to learn. Of course, in addition to their own race pool, elves can also learn the learnable skills of this attribute through skill books.
- Spirit reproduction
The spirits in the magic island can reproduce across races. Just choose two opposite sex spirits to reproduce. The offspring will be randomly selected from the parent race. The attributes of the spirits will be based on the random attributes of the parent race. At the same time, they may inherit the random skills of the parent race. That is to say, the offspring can acquire cross race and cross attribute skills through heredity. There are other special conditions in reproduction, please look forward to it.
- Spirit equipment
Each spirit can carry a piece of equipment, which has its own characteristics. It’s not just a simple attribute increase or decrease. Carrying the appropriate equipment will greatly enhance the strength of the spirit.
- Random copy
There are all kinds of elves, replica facilities, props, traps, etc. randomly distributed in the replica. Conquering the replica will get a lot of rewards. In addition to 5 limited copies, 2 endless copies will be unlocked after customs clearance. At the same time, the first copy can also unlock the island’s resource points, mysterious shops and other functional buildings.
- Island Construction
By building various functional buildings on the island, we can arrange elves to engage in refining, training, incubation, entertainment, guarding and other work, or to resist emergencies. Of course, you can also unlock the resource points on the island through the adventure copy of customs clearance, and arrange the elves to collect the resources and treasures on the island. These resources are also the basic raw materials for refining various treasures.
- Home facilities deployment
You can freely arrange the location of the home buildings. In the middle and later stages of the game, you can also get many decorative buildings from the treasure and entertainment center to decorate your home. Of course, the deployment of these decorative buildings will make the elves on the island happy and get various kinds of bonus.
- Production and integration of props
After the players build a Research Institute on the island, they can arrange the elves to produce various props automatically by consuming different materials. They can also fuse the surplus props to produce new props.
- Entertainment Games
When players build an entertainment center on the island, they can carry elves to play entertainment games. Of course, choosing the right elves to play the right game will get more attribute bonus, and the game will be simpler. The token obtained through the small game can also be exchanged for special reward props.
- Training ground exercise
When players build a training field, they can arrange the elves for training. With the passage of time, the Elves will get experience value, and special training can also be arranged, which will enable the elves to get the training value of attributes, so that the elves can grow more personalized.
- Place type monster invasion resistance
When players build sentries and deploy guard elves, they can detect the impending invasion of monsters (random events) in advance. The elves in sentries will fight with them automatically (or take the initiative to fight). After victory, they will get rich rewards.
- Eternal arena and endless City challenging the limit
When the player passes the last copy on the island, the eternal arena will be unlocked to challenge the limit of the spirit’s fighting power! Of course, in addition to the eternal arena, the two infinite copies that are finally unlocked are also the places where the comprehensive ability limit of the spirit team is challenged. With the increase of the number of layers, the rewards of the copies are getting better and better, and of course, the difficulty is also getting higher and higher!
- Seasonal weather change
The weather on the island changes every day. The change of the weather will be affected by the season, and the different weather will also have a certain impact on the fight of the elves.

The Last Spell
A fun and addictive game that’s essentially tower defense with elements of party management/rpg, town/resource/strategic management, and enjoyable “rogue-like-lite-whatever” persistent unlocks over time. Maybe even a dash of almost RTS with how worker management flows.
The gameplay loop itself is simple - defend your little “city” against hordes of monsters by night, build/develop base/heroes/etc by day - repeat til you fail or win - earn unlocks to get stronger for the next time - and repeat.

It has been a long while since I enjoyed game this much straight on launch, last game I sank this many hours in on launch was Trails of Cold Steel IV on PS4 launch even if it is ‘just’ early access game right now there already is plenty to play and explore, in the roughly 10 hours so far I already unlocked good chunk of upgrades… And I barely made dent in the actual % of them
There are some weapons that are very obviously superior to others, at least that’s how I feel personally so far, like Spears and Daggers are ridiculously OP if you can grab bit of mana regen or in case of dagger/hand crossbows getting few multihits in, poison dagger toss is strong enough to hold a side on their own for first 4-5 nights which I think is silly (But I don’t say this cause I think it should be nerfed mind you, I actually think it is good thing that there are simply weapons that are better, while other have a nieche they can fulfill, like I personally don’t think Hammer is too good in general, but the aoe stun is good for stalling, it won’t work long term though unless you heavily spec into that kind of playstyle with your hero)

Grim wanderings 2
Worth it! Whether you are playing Adventure or Strategy, you are getting to play a great turn based RPG.
There are so many more options to solve encounters rather than just being a murder hobo. I would even say it is the best strategy for the first bunch of turns until you get your 4 man party set. The combat itself takes place on a tight hex grid, but you get used to getting your party in the right place at the right time.
There are more gameplay mechanics still to come, at least as far as I seen in Strategy play. There is just soooo much you could do with this game with infinite development time. MP Strategy mode would be a great way to make and then lose friends in bitter defeats :) And multiple campaigns for Adventure mode would extend the replay value beyond its already ridiculous value (FUN/time+money). Maybe even slow down the pace of leveling, to make campaigns just for 1-7, 8-15, then high level play.

What a great hidden gem. A 4x that its not sophisticated in special effects, but in terms of abilities, races, classes and gear is fleshed out. Plus, it comes with a side dish of strategy and base building, so the resources do not apply only to craft. It is dificult to balance a good party tho, and to make things worse you dont get to pick a starting one, adding an extra layer of dificulty to an already complex game. In fact, you are in some things dependent too much on luck. This is the con, if you are not happy with the rooster of the chars available at start, you gonna have to wait a week for a roll on new ones. And the same happens for gear, having to leave some chars even without weapons for a while. Plus, there is a “pick a card” mini-game instead of dice rolls, and might be me, but luck is really not on my side. Regardless it is a very fun game after these hurdles, and the price makes it a must buy.

I was expecting some revival of MOO2.
I started my first game at “Commander level”, expecting to take a quick and severe defeat, but learn enough for an enjoyable second round.
For the first 8 hours, it was fun: build your ships, evolve your captains, oh! there is a tech tree, great! And those aliens, are they friendly or not? Pirates, space travellers, threats, offers.. Excellent!
After 8 hours, I started to realize that:
1/ I did not made any strategic decision, I just clicked randomly on the various “evolution trees”, I did not experience a single defeat.

Galactic Crew II
A diamond in the rough to be sure!
I am giving this a thumbs up because even though it plays more like a beta, . (Oh wait, it is still in early access - MISSED THAT sorry!), I think it has the potential to be a really good game.
On the downside, there are stability issues (crashed 4 times in ~20 hours of game play), feedback mechanisms, and information on how to do even basic tasks or what abilities do are seriously lacking. Goals are vague. The NPC AIs are minimal at best. Some tasks such as mining are tortuously dull and should be more engaging. (staring at your screen for 10 minutes listening to PHooomWha…. PHooomWha…. is not fun for most people). The game lacks consistency across the board - NPC experience gains, UI functionality and design, balance, etc.

Can I recommend this game? Boy, that’s a doozey. If the game was $60, hell no. At its current price? Totally.
Basics of the game is, you start off with pretty much nothing. You got some raiders with you and they are bottom of the barrel. Its ok though because the way you level up is by fighting. There are, I believe, respawning caravans with really low level mobs that at first is a little bit of a challenge but after some levels and better armor, maybe weapons too, you can pretty much take on the whole wasteland. Your raiders quickly receive a message saying that Wasteland’s Rangers are coming in 120 days. I’m not kidding, they are pretty much the Wasteland game franchises Rangers. For some reason, after playing w2 and just devastating all the raiders, my head-canon really enjoyed being that ONE GROUP that won lol.
