USC: Counterforce
USC: Counterforce is a turn- and squad-based, tactical sci-fi strategy game, the direct sequel both story- and gameplay-wise to Ultimate Space Commando (“USC” for short), taking up on the events where USC ended. As a high-ranking naval officer of United Space Command, you’re tasked to lead a 3-ship strike force back to planetary body M-8322–the scene of the original Wraith Incident–to investigate and neutralize the remainders of a still mostly unidentified alien threat. But what you find there may very well change the course of history forever…
The “original USC gameplay” returns with a brand new engine with realistic, top-down 3D graphics, an improved and modernized user interface, and partially redesigned, even more in-depth combat mechanics.

Spaceland: Sci-Fi Indie Tactics
Spaceland review
Quick Review: Spaceland is a surprisingly fun game with some fun surprises, but only if you crank up the difficulty. It’s a very simple and straight forward turn-based strategy experience. The simplicity and bare-bones nature of the early game might turn players away. But those who stick with it will be rewarded with a bit more of a robust game than what initially meets the eye.
Important Note**:
First and foremost, you have to set the difficulty to the hardest setting: Normal. I played through the game on this difficulty, so my review is based on this. But I did replay the last two levels on Easy just to collect a couple things, and it was an absolute snore. You can play sloppy and rush decisions with no repercussions. There is just no challenge on Easy, meaning no strategy, meaning no game. In my opinion, Easy mode reduces Spaceland from a game to a “series of actions”. Please play it on Normal.

I had fun with it. It is 28 levels and I completed it in 16 hours with 100% achievements. I wouldn’t say it is casual, since the missions get pretty tough (on Normal, which is the highest difficulty). You start with only 1 person in the squad and that increases as you find more people. However, eventually you can’t bring everyone on each mission so you need to pick the team that is best suited. Some (or all) of the slots will be locked into specific members.
There are 2 upgrades, equipment (weapons and armor) and abilities. You need cash for equipment and chips for abilities. Each mission has a set of objectives, which gets you cash and chips. However, you only get the bonus the first time you complete them in a mission. You can replay missions for missed objectives, or to grind cash (killing monsters always gives cash). They also added daily missions in, that you can run to get more chips and cash (one per day).

The Hive
This is my first Review ever and i never ever thought that day wanna pop up.
First of all : Do you really think you gonna see these armour where the game video show you when the unit place cool armour on them self , well that never ever gonna happened in this game ever and that i just fake video so basically they fooling you.
Second of all : Each mission you do you can collect equipment for your unit as weapon and armour and here you have:
Yellow = Legendary
Purple = Very good rare item.
Blue = Good Item

The Hive Review
An RTS RPG experience that is unforgettable… The Hive is an Indie Gem with endless potential!
Some key points that this game offers:
-
Spectacular Story line.
-
Hive mind play style.
-
Indie Gem 4/5.
Gameplay & Controls:
The game is played with our trusty keyboard and mouse; the keyboard offers shortcuts to actions like moving the screen, or issuing commands. The mouse is our primary tool here controlling worker and soldier actions such as building, gathering resources and issuing attack commands.

Red Solstice 2: Survivors
A few things about Red Solstice 2:
-
Red Solstice is one of those games where having a group of people in voice chat with whom you regularly play makes it significantly better.
-
I found the unlock progression-rate to be rather slow, yet far from the worst. If you’ve ever played Vermintide 2, it’s noticeably faster than that, but still a bit of a grind. Though, take this with a grain of salt, as I dislike all time-accumulated or points-accumulated unlock-gating in games that do not have a tycoon-like feedback element to them.

I’ve gotten some play time out of this and enjoyed it for the most part, so I’ll give it a thumbs up, especially for its price tag.
If you’re fine with lots of bugs, some balance issues and weird descriptions with new content releases which are fixed between a week to a month later, then this is a pretty solid game. It’d be an awesome game if it wasn’t constantly tripping over itself with every content release.
Singleplayer is serviceable with bots if you build them and use them right. There are a lot of “wrong” builds which will make playing singleplayer with bots miserable until the “right” builds are discovered. Every game mode can also be played online coop with friends or strangers, which tends to make the experience more interesting.

Dark Cards
The other games by these devs are underappreciated gems, particularly Dark Mist, but also the better known Blood Card, both of which are fantastic. In this case, however, the devs have missed the mark, badly.
It’s worth noting up front that Dark Cards at this point is essentially abandonware… which is a good thing, in my opinion. Get the message that your game isn’t working, ask Steam to withdraw the game from sale, write this game off to experience and move on with your lives. Continuous microimprovements really aren’t going to be enough to make this game any better without breaking the entire thing down and starting again from scratch.

I would not recommend the game in its current state.
The game’s idea is fun and all but at this point it feels like an unfinished product. This game requires a lot of polish to become a good game. the animations aren’t that smooth and feel a bit laggy, which can be seen in the few examples in the store page. I also encountered two bugs which broke the game and stopped it from responding to alt-F4 in my 30 mins of play time. Nevertheless I still believe in its potential so I will leave my review positive for now.

Renditions of the Awakening
In active development since 2016, this is a first-person strategy game about summoning demons and toppling a civilization one castle at a time in order to re-live the story of the man who already did that. Gain the trust of that man - your jailor - by embellishing the details if you wish but the one thing you must do is become the new king while taking no lives with your own hands.
Some demons are stealthy; others not so much. Summon an army, manage them well and control the flow of information across the battlefield to catch Keeps and Castles unawares or poorly defended. But beware, the summoning process compels them to follow you around but that’s all - they still retain their own fickle personalities and will quit your service in the worst way possible if ever they stop having enough fun.

Terminal squad: Sentinel
A great concept of piloting a mech and fighting an alien horde through match three gameplay. You get a squadron of ‘J’s (every member of your eight woman team has a name that starts with the letter ‘J’) and must battle constantly spawning swarms of aggressive alien critters. I like the concept. The game is simple and puts you into the action right away. You level up, improve and configure each member of your troop independently. Every tenth level you will face an alien boss who will drop a new module which you can slot into your mech giving you either new or improved abilities. As you advance the levels the aliens will not only increase in strength and numbers but also hazards which affect the match three board (such as blocking sections of it).

Templar Battleforce
I was in a mood for strategy and blowing things up one day. I found this game while I was cruising through my queue and pretty much bought it impulsively. How’d that turn out? Surprisingly well. While I haven’t gotten too far into the game yet, it did provide me with some inspiration to start a Let’s Play of something that wasn’t a dating sim. (And the dating sim Let’s Play didn’t even begin that long ago either.)
Before I get to the review, this is important to note. The thing about this game that may either attract or repel you is that it is heavily reliant on dice rolls.

Templar Battleforce is a sci-fi turn-based strategy game played on square grid maps with a focus on squad tactics. While it does have a story that accompanies the campaign, it is the gameplay, post-combat unit development, and a surprising amount of polish that makes this game so enjoyable. It doesn’t re-invent anything within the genre, but the mechanics are tight and well-explained, and the unit progression will hook players who, like me, love to work towards a better and better team.
TL;DR at the end.
