The Escapists
I nearly didn’t get this game just because of the graphics, but I’m so glad I did in the end. Despite it’s simplistic RPG maker looking surface it’s actually a very deep game
In The Escapists you go from prison to prison attempting to escape which unlocks the next prison in succession. There are 6 prisons in total which vary in style and increase in difficulty
Gameplay involves a strict schedule of showing up for rollcall (a sort of headcount to make sure no one has escaped) followed by breakfasts, work routines, exercise period, shower period, an evening meal and an evening rollcall followed by returning to your cell for lights out, with usually 2 free periods available inbetween. Later prisons have an afternoon rollcall as well

Hey, i’ve had this game for about a month now, so i thought i would share my opinions and experiences with you. So when i first saw this game i was thinking “Oh wow this is kinda neat, i might get it” so i looked up some gameplay videos to see how good it would be, and i was blown away, now i reccomend you watch Lets Play’s and other gameplay videos if you get this because if you don’t, you won’t escape the first prison, there are so many things to keep in check and so many things to do, i just highly reccomend it, so now on to the review portion…

Kingdom: Classic
This game is simple, but addicting. I wasn’t sure it will last me for more than few hours, and I usually don’t approach games thinking that I’ll stay up all night playing, but I got lucky here. This game is all about management and choices. It’ll start innocent, but quickly becomes pure evil the more you hold on.
Gameplay
You control most of the things indirectly. You’ll start small, and you’ll make a lot of mistakes while trying to get bigger. I can’t promise you that you’ll get hooked the same way I did, but after having few tries on my own, I’ve started seeing the game differently. It is based around trying it over and over, and I didn’t get sick of it. Despite what I’ve heard, every part, even the beginning, becomes an endurance run. Since you have to control everything, you can’t stop.

So, after over 40 hours spent playing the game I felt it’s time to finally write a review.
First of all, I really enjoy this game tremendously, but I’d say it’s not for everyone. If you read other reviews, you probably have a good idea what the good part of the game is, nice art, awesome soundtrack (first time I ever bought a game OST, and not regretting it one bit). These are the two things I think everyone can agree about.
Then it gets more tricky. The gameplay isn’t for everyone. It’s literally discover everything for yourself. including how your own guys behave, even how your own horse behaves.

Party Hard
Party Hard – Collector’s Edition
…is stealth puzzle game. Woken up in the middle of the night by the loud music of a neighboring BBQ, you snap and go on a murderous streak, killing everyone from party to party.
⚙ Game Description & Mechanics ⚙
You walk around, stabbing people and killing them in various creative ways, trying not to be seen or caught next to a body. Each level has various traps you can make use of, such as poisoning punch bowls, setting rooms on fire, exploding ovens, and more. There’s some level randomization that may change available traps, rooms or even party goers.

According to my definition, casual games are characterized by simple gameplay and short game sessions. This is probably the main reason why people like to play these kinds of games, between monumental and complex grand-scale games. Party Hard is a perfect example how a casual game should be done. Even though its premise is rather grim - we play as a serial killer - the gameplay is very enjoyable and basically every component of the game is masterfully made.
The game begins with a man recalling the case of a serial killer who went on a murdering rampage at a college party, because the loud music prevented him from falling asleep (yeah right). He managed to get away and repeatedly committed other massacres. Between these cutscenes we get to play as the killer as he visits various locations across the country (the United States) involving other parties, discos, concerts and casinos even. Although the events don’t always seem to be in chronological order in the cutscenes there’s a twist at the end of the game which gives a pretty good explanation to this.

8-Bit Attack
8-Bit Attack: is a turn based tactics game where the player takes control of a hodgepodge of heroes from across multiple fantasy universes, and commands them as they defend the galaxy from evil. The evil lord Cthulhu and his minions of darkness threaten the destruction of all life as we know it, it is up to your strategy and wits to stop him. Battle through 4 types of levels before having to face the final boss himself, outfitting yourself with more gear and upgraded characters after each successful fight. Careful planning, coordinate attacks, and unique abilities are crucial in deciding whether your team emerges victorious, or falls victim to the invading monsters.

To be fair, I played the demo, so…
The menu is a little fidgity, when you move your cursor over a button the button will slightly enlarge and make a sound but sometimes it would repeatedly, quickly do that effect until I moved my mouse again. A lot of the buttons were hard to click, as if the hit-boxes for those buttons were not placed correctly. Music volume was super low even when set to maximum level.
The game is super hard, I played with four heroes (essentially 4P) but would repeatedly get beaten even at level 3 and 4 battles. It’s very difficult to win because so many monsters deal critical hits and/or multiple crit hits. As well as many of the common enemy tactics (orange side of die) are super strong even though they’re the most common tactic to be rolled. The last boss is impossible, because by the time you manage to defeat the champions, you’re all out of gas and the boss still had 75 HP (and deals at least 6 damage per turn; sometimes 6 to each player). The final boss will obliterate you in two turns.

Castle Formers
You can tell this was a game created to be enjoyed by gamers. A lot of love here.

This is a cute and fun little game, worth buying to support independent game producers, but . . . A wee bit more of a tutorial would be helpful. There are whole upper floors of my castle filled with people that I have absolutely no clue what they do apart from take my hard earned gold. D__n it I smashed a lot of pots and picked the locks of dozens of treasure chests that some benevolent person randomly leaves out on the lawn to get that gold. Not to mention the kindly watersprite that lives in the well who also donates generously to the cause. For their sake, if not for mine, kindly tell me what the devil these random strangers are doing in my castle!

Lazy Galaxy 2
I like this game, but it takes a while to appreciate it,
My first impression of this game was well, not good – the graphics are old school, the combat uninteresting and some of the stuff like achievements seemed to be impossible,
After 84 hrs of playing it though, I really like it. Its addicting. It has depth.
The combat really is a little funky but that might be idue to my graghics card (its not the best in the world).
It is well thought out,.
IT REALLY IS LAZY. The game lives up to its name. You don’t have to be particularly paying close attention to it. It is a good game to play when you are not in the mood for something super complicate like “War on the Sea”. Unlike my other simulations, if you fll asleep playing you game is not badly affected.

This game will let every Idle gaming heart skip a beat!
Not only is the artwork amazing but the replayability is huge!
With the last update (Cataclysm update) not only can you prestige now, but after conquering the whole galaxy you’ll be given the option for New Game+ in form of a inovative system: You get to choose your own blessings AND curses for the new game!
In my opinion Lazy Galaxy 2 does this better than 95% of other Idlegames i played so far and this really makes it fun.
The game is still in early access, but fear not! The developers are EXTREMLY transparent and communicative with their community and fans and even take suggestions and critic the right way and morph it into something beautiful!

Satan’s Castle
A short game, yet fun. I would recommend buying on sale.

A recommendation only for diehard HUNTERS fans, probably the least interesting of their games. Not really any strategy or decision making to speak of. Not even any good text.

Army of Pixels
I bought the game an played through everything in one day. It had a small learning curb and you find the winning strategy early. That said, I did lose a few times as the difficulty ramped up which totally made me like the game more. I played through the other modes with the “winning strat” and found just a little extra enjoyment from it.
This game has the right idea I just wish it had a little more depth. Buy it (75% off) and play it. It will be worth it.

While there may be little to no story, this game is deffinetly a blast, and handles itself very well for what it is… only thing i can think that would possibly enhance my experience is more story while keeping an rpg feel and more races/worlds. (however, these ideas are a bit nit picky since it IS an indie game)
The highlight in this indie game however, was deffinetly the amount of individuality it gave the player. I felt like the army i was leading was genuinely my own, and that sense of self kept me hooked for hours. I was also making my own decisions on where i would fight on the map, and was given hints on who i would be fighting (thankfully not by just saying it, but adding description), which also enhanced my experience while playing, giving it a “realness” I find that other indie games simply don’t provide.

Chaos Sector 混沌宙域
Good job.

Very nice, litlle one-man indie turn based strategy with retro touch.
Simple, but efficient strategy layer plus series of small scale tactical combats (at most 20 units on board, usually ca 8 turns) makes for fast paced game and prevent drag. Choices are minimalistic, but well implemented.
I found game reasonably simple (with beginning a bit more challenging) and needed 21 hours to reach all endings.
For negatives, there is little replayability. Game is somewhat unbalanced (submarines" are underwhelming), AI is passable, and plays by the rules (which is nice feat for such a small game), tlhough very predictable in tactical phase. RNG sometimes can be a bit annoying (but never ruined the battle for me). For the price I can really racommend game.

Convoy
Most everyone will use FTL as a benchmark to test rouge like games, so I guess I will compair and contrast on how Convoy stands up to the gold standard of FTL.
The first thing right off the bat with convoy is that the game is much easyer than FTL. This may be seen as ether a good thing or a bad thing seeing that a lot of FTL’s claim to fame is its unfair dificulty and numerous game overs, but I for one see it as more of a good thing because there seems to always be a way to win in Convoy whereas in FTL a lot of the games have you already losing before you start because of RNG.

Here comes another FTL comparison review. I just have to do it because reading the other ones is painful.
I keep reading these reviews where people say the combat is easy or that there is no depth to it and I just have to wonder how far they’ve managed to get.
Because if you just order your vehicles to fire at random cars without giving it a second thought, you get shredded rather quite quickly about midgame, no matter how powerful weapons you might have.
So yes - let me start off with - the meat of the game, the combat. Let’s imagine FTL-like is a genre, then this definitely fits in that genre. However, to make an FPS analogy, this is to more of a Battlefield to FTL’s Team Fortress. The two games are undeniably similar in their mechanics, but the way you play them is completely different.
