Zap Blastum: Galactic Tactics

Zap Blastum: Galactic Tactics

You are Zap, an alien who has always dreamed of saving the galaxy. When robots invade your planet, you’re super-psyched and ready for anything! Zap Blastum caters to both hardcore and casual gamers with its intuitive cover shooter gameplay, optional mouse controls, and action-packed tactical combat.

SIMPLE CONTROLS

Streamlined controls bring cover shooter gameplay to anyone who can use a mouse – without losing any depth. Snap into cover and automatically lean around corners while shooting. Even on a gamepad, just select a target and lock on – we’ve removed aiming from the equation.

WARM, COLORFUL, EXPLODE-Y

This is a shooter that’s not afraid to be cheerful. Not everyone’s into dark and gritty space marines. Zap doesn’t fit the stereotype. The robots will never know what hit ‘em!

STORY

The game explores impostor syndrome: the tendency to attribute our earned success to luck or deception. Deep down, Zap is haunted by self doubt, and the robots know how to take advantage of it. In a way, your mission is an internal one. You can be a hero. Don’t listen to the voices that say “No.”

  • Explore 20 levels that span across 5 planets.

  • Enjoy an original soundtrack that mixes orchestral, rock, and dubstep genres.

  • Fight 10+ types of robot enemies.

  • Rack up huge points in the online leaderboards and earn big rewards for combos and streaks.

  • Unlock new features to discover more secrets.

  • Play in full screen or in a small window. Take a break from your busy day and shoot some robots.

  • Save the galaxy with a friend in local co-op!

Danger Zombies

Danger Zombies

A game that seems to have severe memory leaks that impacted my PC long after the game was closed. The game also brought my gaming desktop PC with an intel i7 10700 @ 3.4 Ghz, GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER, and 16 GB of DDR4 dual channel RAM to its knees! I averaged about 5 to 10 fps and got as low a 1 fps trying to play this BS asset trash.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvbSWhROn48

The developer purchased an asset map on the Unity asset store, purchased a player model and built in controls, and also bought a single zombie asset and loaded the asset map with about 3,000 of the zombie assets and then hit export on Unity. Uploaded it to Steam with the name “Danger Zombies”. He didn’t even bother making a proper settings page, with no sound options at all, and a drop down of empty resolution choices!

Devader

Devader

Devader is a twin-stick shooter that would feel at home in an arcade cabinet. In it you combat waves of bizarre and awesome enemies to defend a hexagonal matrix from destruction. While there’s no dearth of these type of games on Steam, Devader has several interesting components that make it stand out. The first thing most will notice from looking at screenshots is the aforementioned enemies. These otherworldy foes are called the Krin, and they are every bit as impressive as they look. There is a huge variety of them as well, probably well over 100, many, many more than what is usually found in this genus of game. There are least 15 different bosses alone. Contrast that to Cuphead with its 19 bosses and nothing else (okay, there are a couple of non-boss stages in Cuphead), and you get an idea of just how expansive the menagerie of monsters here is.

Addictive, intense and hypnotizing !

That’s how i can describe Devader in three words. 😄

Right after getting the game i ended up playing it 15 hours in four days, so for someone like me who’s pretty stacked with way too many games to play it’s a good sign !

It’s such an awesome game, quite hard and challenging but so rewarding once you complete a tough level.

The artstyle and graphics are beautiful with gorgeous 2D sprites mixed with 3D elements.

Devader is probably one of the the most visually intense game i ever played, it’s ecstatic.

File this one under “bad”.

It may have potential if they could convert the controls to be a twin-stick controller scheme but as-is you can only use the mouse to aim and WSAD to move around. The gameplay is not very fun.

The quality of the game is extremely minimal, this is the absolute least amount of work you could put into a 3D game. It doesn’t seem “unfinished” as much as it just seems like they didn’t spend a whole lot of time on it. You can actually play any level of the game right off the bat, you don’t need to progress through it to unlock anything. It’s actually a really good thing because if you find a level to be rediculous you can just move onto the next one but I tried the first 3 and I’m just not feeling it.

Gun Bombers

Gun Bombers

I am addicted to this game. 59 hours in, and I still want more. I got 3, so I could play with my kids, and they destroyed me. So I decided to practice in single player mode, and I am having more fun trying to beat my high scores than I was playing multiplayer. The addicting parts are 1) finding gems or gold, and 2) trying different strategies to last longer.

Admittedly the graphics are not very good, but the gameplay is fantastic and devilishly hard.

This is a fantastic throwback to the original Mine Bombers. Got a copy for myself, my brother and one of my freinds, convinced a few more to get it and had an awesome time playing. I don’t generally write reviews but this game deserves it. I highly anticipate what features come out for it in the future as it is early access.

This gets a huge reccomend from me, get it, grow the community I want to blow of more people.

downsides

You will have to forward ports 55555 in order to host.

it does not get along with certain antivirus programs for some dumb reason.

Fan f-ing Dance

I was on board with this game up until one of the last levels in which the game rotates your mouse control (that’s the only way I can rationalize it; in practice it feels like you have no control) with no UI and the result is an unplayable level, even on easy. The game was hard but possible up until Fan Dance, so that’s still a good 1-3 hours of content depending on what difficulty you play on. But Fan Dance is terrible game design and definitely soured the experience, especially considering it’s so close to the end.

its pretty good, I found that due to the game being mouse driven some of the mechanic made things more chaotic than they should have been e.g I went through a teleporter but my mouse didn’t move so my character attempted to zip back to where my mouse is and then I lost because it ran into some bullets.

Aside from constantly beating levels obviously atypically to how the level design would suggest, it is a fun little puzzler that should be an app but is good enough of a game to feel right at home in my steam library.

The product is great! However, there certainly are some very ill-manned, inconsiderate folks here who in reality certinaly deserve an ass-whooping!! I, as a Korean, feel a little bit ashamed whenever after getting acquainted with other Korean-friendly players from different parts of the world, ask me to verify what other shitty, inconsiderate Korean players were saying to them while playing online. I completely understand what the heck happened because I, myself, was a victim of harassment, taunts by my fellow Korean here and in other gaming sites and communities. Just because someone does not know your language and is not able to retort back to you in a snap, it does not mean that they are vulnerable retards, people!! It is so much easier to collect live evidence and present it to someone else for further scrutiny and verification.

Game is ded.

English may be the game’s text, but your going to need google translate for the players.

The Koreans will dodge matchmaking and run off to their custom rooms to avoid playing with you.

Have fun playing with bots tho.

This game is brilliant! Many cool new things that made me spend a lot of time ingame. I usually don’t write reviews but as a tower defense fan and not finding enough reviews on this one, I had to say that it really brings some novelty on the genre (I had to re-think all my strategies learned in other TDs).

I like how the enemy is fighting with me, they struggle to bring my towers down :D, very nice animations and there is something interesting and addictive with the AI that I can’t pinpoint exactly.
