After playing for a little over an hour, I can note a few points!

  • Nice graphics

  • A game about sports, not violence

  • Also, in the pluses, you can note the authors' statement about the appearance of major updates

-At the time of release, the game is played in about 2 hours, taking into account restarts

-Perhaps the price is too high, but if everything is as the developer describes and a collection of several games is waiting for us, then the price tag is very worthy

And so quite an interesting game, like Hotline Miami, but only about sports!

Fastlane Bowling

Fastlane Bowling

Was a huge fan of this game as a kid, as it was called Strike Force Bowling on the console platforms. So I decided to give it a shot for the low price and nostalgia.

Overall the game functions and runs well, even on newer hardware. Though I will not recommend this compared to the other releases that can be found on consoles. Stages are missing. The Wild West stage is one that doesn’t make it here. Also, all characters are unlocked from the start, so nothing really to work for in that regard. The biggest negative here is the missing textures. Many textures just didn’t seem to exist. No little marks for the accuracy and power bars while bowling, and even some of the menu boxes just didn’t exist. Was buying this for nostalgia and simply just became disappointed. If this game somehow figures out the texture issue, this would instantly be a better game, but in the state it is in at this time, it just doesn’t seem worth it. even at the low price point it’s currently at.

MXGP 2020 - The Official Motocross Videogame

MXGP 2020 - The Official Motocross Videogame

I played MX vs ATV, Monster Energy Supercross 2 and 3, MXGP PRO and now also MXGP 2020 and I would like to compare the differences between MXGP2020 and Supercross 3, because they are the latest games from the motocross environment.

Supercross 3 - better graphics (especially loam), better engine (?), more realistic control, more options to design riders (more brands, more components)

MXGP2020 - for me on real settings the game is hard to control , which I appreciate, but … in SX3 in realistic mode when you’re good you have advantages and you can go faster than your opponents, which is not the case in MXGP2020. So far, the drivers with the help of the PC have an advantage, but we’ll see later.

MXGP2020 strikes a good balance of realism and arcade handling to give real bike riders enough realism to draw them in but doesn’t go overboard on being a full out Sim to the point of being overly frustrating to learn and possibly more difficult than the real thing. Afterall, a real bike you control with four limbs and not just two hands on a controller.

MXGP2020 improves on physics and handling of previous games, but the AI is the most improved. They really give you a run for your money now where in the past games I would want to race them with a lower size engine just to have a challenge! The motor sounds better and correlates better to your input and reacting with the terrain.

Spike Match

Spike Match

((It Will be updated soon, this is a prototype version))

It is a game based on the old football of nails, in which you will have to beat the machine as many times as possible, in order to increase your statistics!

You must point the arrow where you want, and then calibrate the speed of the ball to make it hit the goal, so you can add points and win the game.

Despite being a project still under development, we have many plans for it. In the future we intend to put an online mode so that you can play with your friends and challenge people from all over the world.

Concept Destruction

Concept Destruction

Concept Destruction In-Depth Review

Concept Destruction is another attempt bring back the Destruction Derby style genre into the modern day, and it does this quite well!

Optimization & PC Settings

In terms of graphics, the game has settings for things like bloom, depth of field, ambient occlusion, but nothing for texture quality, which is a bit disappointing because many of the textures are lower quality, and compressed. This is very apparent on the room texture, where its a very bad compressed 2D image. The optimization is a little hit or miss. I’ll see many times where the game is running a high framerate, but instantly will bog down to 60 - 70 FPS when there is a lot of vehicle parts on screen. For a game that is very simplistic with graphics, its a head scratcher on why the FPS can be so inconsistent. I hope that the developer can improve this optimization aspect, and give us an option to improve texture quality.

So, Destruction Derby/Flatout (well, more DD than Flatout) mixed with Micro Machines (I’m not that old but yeah, I know those). Visually, the game is good, the miniature cardboard aesthetic is done quite well but that’s about everything positive there is say about this game.

The controls is the second best thing to say about this game, why second? Well, they work but apparently the developer doesn’t play PC games cos acceleration, turning and reverse is all mapped to the arrow keys instead of WASD. Yeah, I know I can use a controller, but guess what, it doesn’t work with this game, I’m not sure if it’s the gamepad or the controller so I won’t bash the game for this. I’ll just guess is restricted to player 2 or something dumb like that. Which btw, the game doesn’t have online play, just local and split screen, just like on the good old days of gaming… except I don’t have anyone to play with and can’t invite anyone because… ya know.

NASCAR Heat 5

NASCAR Heat 5

Give this game a chance guys. At a glance it looks like a copy/paste of Heat 4. But try playing this for an hour or two then go back to Heat 4. You will see and feel a significant difference. Several tracks were improved both visually and on how they drive. On top of that, the AI have been improved a bit, providing the most fun single-player racing I’ve seen in a heat game. I honestly barely played single player in Heat 4, but i’m enjoying it a lot more now. Another great thing is the new custom car options. Sure it’s no paint booth but to me it’s satisfactory for the most part and they will be adding more templates via DLC. Custom seasons in championship mode are also awesome, though sadly you can’t put tracks that series doesn’t normally go to such as Cup at Road America, though this might change.

First off let me say, I’ve been sim racing for 3 decades (which yes, makes me old!). I started with Indianapolis 500: The Simulation and have played each and every Papyrus game since. I have also run iRacing and I have been a HUGE fan of each and every one of those games.

This year, during the pandemic, NASCAR Heat 4 was on sale and I thought, what the heck, I have time on my hands, lets give this thing a try. I set out wanting to not like it to be very honest. My expectations were low, quite low in fact. After running my first few races I felt I was liking it just enough to try running a career. A few days in I realized something. I was having fun. More fun than I expected. I kept playing, and my fun level continued to rise. I continued to play NR2003 for my weekly races but kept coming back to NH4. It was a damn fun game. Was it perfect, absolutely not. But, the racing was very good, the setups fun to build and I was moving on up in my career.
