Star Drift
I think it’s about time I finally write a “review” about this game.
If you take a look at the number of hours I’ve played this game, you can already probably tell that I like the game a lot. I actually liked the game a lot already back in February/March, although it was very rough around the edges at that time. I soon discovered that the game was actually developed by a single person (Catze). Since I saw potential in the game, and I liked the actual premise of a skill-based drifting racing game, I decided to join the Discord, and started giving out some suggestions on how to improve the game in several ways. But first, a step back: I had actually received a review code to review the game on the Italian webzine Outcast.it, but the more I played the game, the more I was interested in helping Catze creating a good and engaging game. The review could wait. Or even better: who cares about the review, when you can actually help someone making the top down racing game you would’ve always loved to play?

I love a good driving simulator, and I love a good drift game… but there are very few that get the drifting mechanics right. This Top Down driving game has simple but great looking graphics and the physics are fantastic….
Internet player vs player works well, and is a lot of fun.
There are hundreds of hours of fun to be had, and at this price tag it is a steal.
I highly recommend this game! Get it, get it now.

F1 2014
Lets discuss this game.
This time im not gonna split into positives and negatives section .
-No young driver test, instead u get an evaluation test
- Handling: there is a different handling model for pad and wheel, so basically the pad has inbuilt traction control, so even if you set it to off, you still wont wheelspin, now you might be thinking aw thats terrible, but in return the wheel has much better turnin however with no traction its harder, so despite being unequal a little theyre still not too bad.

F1 2014 is the successor of F1 2013 and when Codemasters announced this game, they mentioned that there won’t be any major changes in it. The reason for the lack of new features in the game is simply that Codemasters is focusing on the New-Gen F1 2015 game completely, to make it even better than the current games. They will also use and develop a completely new engine for F1 2015, which is taking time and that’s probably why they didn’t change much from F1 2013 to F1 2014, yet there are minor changes which have a big influence on the Gameplay.

F1 2015
I run the Feral Interactive port of F1 2015 in Xubuntu (17.10) using the default mesa/amdgpu driver that is included in the linux kernel/ubuntu repository. This is my first F1 sim, so I cannot compare to prior Codemasters F1 games. I have logged 157 hours in this sim and thought it is well past time to give it a review. I am very much a beginner to F1 sim racing and I am coming at this review as a complete noob. Because F1 2017 has been out for a while, I doubt this review will be of use to anyone except for a fellow GNU/Linux user who has an interest in it for whatever reason.

So far I have been left with a bitter taste in my mouth and cannot recommend this game… yet.
Pros:
The graphics and optimisation. I have a FX-8320 and a GTX 970. I’m getting 60+ FPS with the whole grid on ultra.
The handling model. I have a G27 and I am happy with the FFB and the physics have vastly improved, especially compared to F1 2014.
Cons:
No safety car. I don’t know Codemasters reasoning for this but I personally feel it takes away from the game.
This game crashes more than Maldonado. Ran a benchmark, crashed. Tried online, crashed. Started pro season mode, crashed. You get the idea.

F1™ 2017
This is a single player review, as I’m not one to play multiplayer nowadays, but most of this review is still relevant, as it covers the entire core of the game.Having already played nearly 6 hours on release day, and having spent around 500 hours on F1 2016, I’ve just about completed my first 100% distance race on Ultimate difficulty in the Renault.
My thoughts so far? Stunning.
I have never been so impressed by a games launch, it’s just great.
The game is very well optimised, running on max settings with an MSI GTX 980 (the recommended GPU is a GTX 1070!), FX 8350 and 16GB of RAM, with an average fps of pretty much 60. Temps are within acceptable levels, with only the infrequent frame spike (which may be patchable, but barely a hassle).

MENUS
The menus in Codemasters’s F1 2017 are very simple and well looking. You can easily find what you are looking for and never get lost. It does not take up too much space of the screen and they like adding pictures to the main menu which makes it look even better.
As in previous games, there is no mouse support which could make one or the other hardcore pc gamers raise their pulse rate.
GRAPHICS
I really like the way that Codemasters went with the graphics. The previous title, F1 2016, had too much color and brightness. F1 2017 looks much cooler and welcome compared to its predecessor. In the options menu you can change many settings to fine tune your visual experience and performance. The Benchmark tool is one of the best that the games of the current time have to offer and it lets you test your performance with the settings you have selected on any track as well as condition you like.

Right. This game here is old but gold!
Yes: You drive a truck.
Yes: You will go over 200 km/h WITH these trucks!
Yes: You will have a lot of fun trying to control these over 1,000 HP, 5000 KG trucks that have INSANE amount of torque
Yes: All the tracks you have NEVER even heard of are listed in the game
Yes: You can adjust the truck. It is pretty good customization and changes you made will effect the truck on track.
Yes: You can save your settings that you made on the truck
No: You can not run on the track butt naked screaming your favourite drivers name

I just installed this sim on Steam. After hours of playing the non-Steam version, here’s what I think about the sim.
When I heard of this truck racing simulator to come out, I was instantly looking forward to it. “What, a truck racing simulator that’s realistic?” I bought it on the release and I gave it a go. I was amazed. You do need to set everything up and I do recommend you to set your in-game wheel to 900 degrees first (if you have a wheel at all). But when everything is set up correctly, it’s A BLAST!

such a great underrated racing game, has pretty much good graphics on today’s standard, although this game was released in 2018 you should compare the graphics with dirt 3 or wrx fia 5 and this game beats em.
(quick tip; u can even tweak the game’s engine .ini file to make it even more beautiful)
the phisics is decent for a game made with unreal engine not necessarily great, a little bit bouncy/jelly like tho u can tune the indifidual car’s settings, the AI is kinda good, rubberbanding as expected, game’s progression is linear based of the season and levels that we gain as we progress the race and do certain things (e.g drifting)

GTR - FIA GT Racing Game
Hi to all of my freinds on “Facebook”, “Steam”, or any other “games related to the “steam” related network. I have just purchased “GTR” via my “Steam” account, and I have to say to anybody who used to own this game, back in the days of “M/Soft” XP, that this game has now been upgraded to “WINDOWS 7” COMPATIBILITY. The graphics are a lot better and clearer than the games predessor on the XP version. If anybody still owns the XP version, it will not play on “WINDOWS 7”. I have had the origional of this game on XP, which has been collecting dust for the last 2yrs due to non compatibility with “WINDOWS 7”. The GTR car racing series is a pretty good range of games to buy. On the market at the moment, there is GTR 1, GTR 2, GTR EVOLUTION, GTR LEGENDS or RACE ON, which I believe is now also part of the GTR series of games. I now have the complete range of this series apart from GTR LEGENDS.I can recommend all of these simulation games to the ultimate motor racing fan or anybody who fancies their chances of having a great adrenlin rush and testing their racing skills against the best drivers of these games. This game gets legendary status.
I’ve played it before it was on steam and on older Windows OSes.
Always with a wheel, it’s a competitve racing simulation and a fantastic time-consuming game.
I went through a period when it quit working this summer (2018). The game would load but the tracks would not.
I took my knowledge of this game’s technical pitfalls and went and copied some of my config lines from Race 07 into my GT Raceing (thats how it’s spelled) folder and I had it running yet again. I will play this until Windows won’t let it run any more. But for now, it’s one of the best ever racing games.

UPDATE for 2019: - So I hadn’t played this game in a while and I come back to find its even more polished. the AI is really good now and the game feels tighter and the controls more responsive. I really love this game and the Dev’s are clearly listening to the feedback and making a game for driving fans. Well done, keep up the good work.
UPDATED REVIEW - following more extensive gameplay.
So i really like this game, it gets a lot better as you progress and get a better car, upgrade it and some of the later tracks are much better than the earlier ones. This is a great top down simulator at a very reasonable price. If you want a top down racer that is more serious than the average arcade game then I’ve NEVER seen a better game than this one. Devs are active and care about customers. This is a solid BUY for me, I did and certainly don’t regret it.
