Megaton Rainfall

Megaton Rainfall

Megaton rainfall is truly a game of the ages and fits two genres: Do you want to be an all powerful psuedo god who can literally go to the ends of the universe if they wish, or do you want to be a superhero who saves the world from the damned ufos? well this is the game for you, although at first when you only have one power the game can feel pretty slow, but as you get more and more the game combat starts to feel truly fun.

! Once you have super luminal speed (8 trillion times the speed of light) leave the galaxy and then look at the galaxy, follow the white light (not the blue one, thats earth) and stand in front of the monoliths/signs blue ray until you get a narration sequence, listen to what they say as this is half of the storyline, then use heat ray if you have it to destroy the monolith once its done, and then a new light will appear in a different galaxy, repeat this until you reach sign 7 This game was made perfectly that even something as simple as the enemies going to a different city gives you chills, the soundtrack goes from intense combat dubstep to a beautiful singing voice during transitions and It was done this was intentionally, because the author knew it would be beautiful. Although there really isnt anything in the universe aside from planets, stars, blackholes, pulsars etc (i mean no intelligent life except for invaders and humans) there is just something so satisfying about crash landing on the moon at mach 523534635894674563059467, kinda makes me feel like saitama. Or flying trillions upon trillions of lightyears to a distant galaxy, going to a star in said galaxy, and launching nukes at a planet and then landing in said crator. Another thing on the combat is that although you cannot die, you can fail if a city loses too many people aka “casualties” and the game teaches “with great power comes great responsiblity” because most of the time, you actually deal more damage to the city itself than the enemies ever could, just by missing with your most basic attack. There is only one mission i’ve seen where the enemies could do more damage than you in a shorter amount of time. And when i say more damage than you I dont mean you going on a full assault of the city, as i stated above, i mean just missing with your basic attack. There is so much more that i could probably say about this game but im terrible at writing reviews. You should most definitely play this game, even if its not necessarily your genre this game just slaps awe all over your face quite a few times.

UPDATE: 6/20/2018: A recent update nerfed the speed tremendously for no apparent reason. Your character now moves about 50% slower now compared to when I wrote this review. This seriously hurts the fun of the game and if you’re a new player, you’re going to be spending a lot of unnecessary time moving around now that speed is crippled.

UPDATE: 6/26/2018: Another update that seems to show the dev is ruining his own game. You can no longer float downwards and “walk” on the surface. You’re forcibly gridlocked now and if you keep trying to descend, your game will crash. I can no longer recommend this game.

Controls took a little bit to get used to, but the gameplay mechanics are very satisfying once you get the hang of it. Each hand allows you to fly or shoot, but not both simultaneously. Shooting with one wile flying with the other is possible, though. You have to find your own balance and style for evading and engaging. The visuals are nice, if not a little sparse.

It’s tough to call it a wave shooter, but it’s the closest genre. Enemies periodically spawn, but there’s no clear beginning or end to the waves. There’s a decent variety of enemies, but they essentially fall into two categories: stay still and shoot at you, or chase you (there’s one that does both). If you survive long enough, a very difficult boss spawns. Based on scores, it seems I’m one of three players so far to have defeated it. The arena is massive, but there is a giant dome that keeps you from flying too far. There are perks you can earn by completing challenges and earning XP, which definitely ease the difficulty bit. You can unlock up to nine, but you can only have three active at a time.

With a VR audience starved for new quality content, seeing Airborn announced (thanks to @CanadaGameDevs!) was a breath of fresh air.

Simple, cool, and fairly priced for what it is, I am happy to say that Airborn delivers!

The title screen is near perfection : synthwave, particles and the game title are enough to get you pumped for the game.

The game is all about shooting moving targets as you maneuver with your jet-powered thrusters in a space arena. It is not as extensive as I would have liked but what is there is solid, fun and addictive.

LEGO® Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO® Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham

Although not the best of the Batman series (I believe the first one cannot be beat), this is pretty enjoyable.

Things I like

  • Character Roster. The roster has a lot of variety and plenty of people to chose from. I feel though maybe taking out some of the generic lanterns and putting more iconic lanterns instead as rewards would’ve been cooler.

  • ADAM WEST. Probably my favorite part, I really liked thses rescue missions and the special mission. These are the very deffinition of charming.

-Flying. The controls are a definite improvement over the last one, at least the one on the Wii (aka take this with a grain of salt)

As I write this review the Arrow DLC still has yet to drop so I’m basing this on having 100% this game with the current three dlcs out with the season pass. First and foremost let me say how much I hated the storyline in this game. For me it was the worst of all the lego games I’ve played (the other Batmans, Harry Potter, Marvel, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Movie). I will admit my biggest problem is that I’m not a big DC person. I only like a few characters and Batman is one of them so when I buy a game called Lego Batman I expect the storyline to be promeniently about Batman. This wasn’t that. This was Lego Green Lantern or Lego DC Universe but it wasn’t Lego Batman. I realize that they probably called it that to make more money but it really irks me. Don’t get me wrong I still had fun with the game, as I do with all the lego games. I was just really looking forward to a batman centric story. That being said I did not run into as many glitches as others have complained about. I also played this game with the XBOX wired controller for Windows and never had a single problem with the controls as some other people have said. The controller worked fine for me and I played all nearly 70 hours with it.

This game is obviously still in development. But if you like tower defense games this might be up your alley. 3d 1st per Tower defense.

This game isn’t particularly groundbreaking, but it is quirky and charming in it’s own right. There obviously are still a tremendous number of bugs, and it’s still pretty short at the moment, but that’s to be expected from early access. That aside, who doesn’t like shooting aliens?

Abda Redeemer: Space alien invasion

Firstly, I would like to say words of support to the a single developer of the “Abda Redeemer: Space alien invasion”, because he is a truly strong man, his story really touched me! Hold on and “NEVER GIVE UP AND YOU WIN”!!!

Talking about game, it is about SPACESHIP in the space.

It is really unexpectable for me, but the game has very good graphic and it’s so realistic, despite the fact that game was developed by one guy. Big despect to u, dude!♥

Game reminds me games from my childhood - i played smth the game that time, but this one , of course, is much better

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

This is probably my new favorite game ever. I never thought I would say that, I’m a huge Marvel fan but the GotG aren’t even in my top 50 favorite Marvel characters. Or, at least, they weren’t….until this game came out.

This game is so incredible. The interactions between the team are priceless, the battles are fun and challenging at times and it just keeps getting better and better as you play more. It has a lot of replay value because of all the different dialogue choices and even some choices that seem to change how the story unfolds, although I’ll have to finish my second play through to see how much it really changes things.

Inferno

Inferno

Inferno is a game about revealing the truth. It is a 2D platform adventure game heavily inspired by 16-bit platformers. Gameplay focuses on action and some light exploration. In this militaristic adventure, play as Blake; a sergeant in the Ragnarok Army, tasked with eliminating threats.

Dive into the planet of Veden VI, full of dangerous creatures in its different caverns and environments. Collect upgrades through the journey to strengthen Blake against the biggest threat of them all, the Ragnarok Army.

Growing up in the SNES era, I wanted to capture the charm I felt playing games as a kid. 16-bit 2D platformers are my main inspiration and I wanted to make a game that my 8-year-old self would be excited to play.

*** Challenging gameplay and boss battles

  • Explore many different dangerous areas

  • Tight and responsive controls

  • Engaging platforming**

Too Angry to Space

Too Angry to Space

What is Too Angry to Space?

Too Angry to Space is a retro styled 2D side-scrolling action platformer that is reminiscent of many of the classics. Games such as Duke Nukem come immediately to mind. The developer, AK84C promises in his ‘about’ section that the game is not one that holds your hand yet simultaneously he assures potential purchasers that the gameplay is simple to learn. Players assume the role of Red Madson, a pure gunslinger, as he prepares to kill aliens and robots that have attempted to take over your base.

I may be ‘too angry to space’…but I’m also too overjoyed at the enjoyment I’m having with this game to give it a less-than-stellar review! One of my favorite platformers already…even after a bit over an hour of playtime. The trailer alludes to the fun you can have, and even where it mentions how you can use one hand to play, and one to enjoy a beverage of choice…lol. So far I think it good advice to shoot first when coming into a level or a new entrance to a different part of a level…it sure can’t hurt…and it’s proven in a short time that it’s a lot of fun to play…even if there’s a rage-quit or two…and already I can tell that there’s replay value as well. There is the homage to games of old…both with graphics/gameplay and some difficulty-spikes here and there, but I’m sure enjoying this game in the here and now. Very happy with the decision to buy this game!! Easily recommend, especially if the trailer looks good to you.
