Rockets are Super Hard

Rockets are Super Hard

This has been a great game to play with a group of friends. Working together to successfully launch a rocket into orbit using the highly detailed manual and communication skills not to miss any timed events or which button to correctly press. The manual may seem daunting at first, but the PDF is very well organized and put together that we have had no issues navigating through it to find the different modules for each mission. The sense of achievement is very high after each successful launch, and makes us want to keep playing once we finally do achieve mission success. Highly recommend this game for anyone that likes group puzzle games.

This game is already shaping up to be really special. This is helped tremendously by devs who are extremely active in the community and receptive to suggestions. They work quickly and respond in the forum. I made a list of typos and suggestions for the manual and it was a fairly long list. They did every single thing on the list in the same day that I posted it.

From a gameplay perspective, this obviously is inspired by Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, but I think this game stands up extremely well on its own. Being in the control room is significantly more fun than being the defuser in KTaNE, and the game itself feels more cohesive. The manual is also over 100 pages even though the game is in early access. The ktane manual is 23 pages. I’ve played it quite a bit already and I still feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface. The single player campaign helps to teach the game, and even puts the manual pages inside the game to make it easier to look things up, but playing multiplayer is certainly more fun.

I love this game, it’s new and it’s incredibly fun. I just got lost in time for over an hour building satellites and generating substantial income. I’m super excited to see where this game goes in the future and I’ll definitely be playing more, definitely recommend!

Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

I kind of feel it’s late to post a review for KSP at this time as I think that anyone who would be interested in such a game has heard about it by now, but hey, you never know.

For me, KSP is more than a game, it is more like a hobby. You spend hours building your ship, you fill it up with little green Kerbals and then actually fly it to space!

Every milestone you achieve feels extremely satisfying. You feel proud of yourself for every new goal you reach, and not in the way you do in other games, it’s not that you had good reflexes, or that you killed some big boss. You actually designed, built and flew a spaceship! And you did all that using realistic rocket parts, and realistic, unforgiving Physics. No clicking “launch” and poof you’re in space in this game.

Well, actually, this test flight was not my idea…

…doesn’t matter now anyway!

After years of “test flying” I have solid ground under my feet again thanks to the Almighty!Where this uselessness of Jeb is hiding? He really tell me, “Just travel to the moon and back, with his best apprentice till now. No big deal!”. I should have told his grandma about the idea, after all, she would have told me something! Why i was so dumb to agree this flight?

When I get him in my fingers. Believe me! ..Oh..

This game/simulator is incredible and has me hooked. Breathtaking and it really gives me an idea of the scale of our universe. Worth x4 the price in my opinion but must be experienced in VR with a fast computer (mighty GPU) and it is very important to read the manual at the very least and learn the graphics settings and the other facets of this wonderful piece of software before you dive in to get the best experience…

This is a space wallpaper maker! You can take very stunning HD screenshots while exploring an entire universe. I love taking the time to get the perfect shot, adjusting gamma, brightness, the amount of stars you can see, type of lens flare, nebulous, gas giants, black holes! the list goes on and the possibilities are endless, if you are a space nerd get this game…game? it’s kinda a game, you can fly around in a ship too if you wanted and pretend your a space pirate or something.

Starlight Explorers

Starlight Explorers

It’s a fun way to learn about gravity and orbits, with a story designed to welcome a younger audience to those concepts. Beyond that, the simple aim-and-release gameplay is versatile enough to range from a meditative squiggle-drawing activity to a fiendish spatial-reasoning challenge.

Real player with 2.0 hrs in game

The game is very relaxing and satisfying when you find the right trajectory. For me, Starlight really shines toward the middle of the story missions where the planets are no longer shown and you must find them through their gravitation pull.

the physics are really good.. NO..more like PERFECT. The physics is based on Newtonian Physics, although this game isn’t using Einstein’s General Relativity, this physics is really accurate. If you lower the timelapse, the physics is more accurate. But if you add the speed of the timelapse, the physics is less accurate. Nonetheless, this game is not only stunning, awsome and satisfying ( Except if its lagging lol) But also Educational and Usefull. Perfect. [Note to player: if you have something wrong, just go to settings , there are so many tools.]

Ascent - The Space Game

Ascent - The Space Game

After over 5000 hours playing, here is my review. I am in no way associated with the company that provides Ascent. I am just a long time player.

What Ascent Is and Is Not

Ascent came on line mid 2013. Since then, there has been many changes and additions. With all those changes, there are still some things at the core of the game that can be highlighted.

Ascent is:

A sandbox. Similar to Lego, it gives the player pieces to create what each person imagines within the boundaries of the game environment. We are given set pieces and are allowed to put them together as we want.

Real player with 6092.4 hrs in game

I started playing this game late in 2013. I registered in the beginning of 2014, and my adventure started from there. This game has been unique to me in so many aspects, I really don’t have the room in a review to talk about them all. The sandbox aspects, the fact it’s an indie game by basically a one-man-team, or the fact it’s the most expansive space-sim I’ve played to date, bringing back nostalgia of Freelancer.

One thing that has kept me going is the continuous rise of the community. Slowly, we had less than five active players for weeks on end. Then a few dozen in the next months. Eventually, the game expanded and more players joined, and I really felt the small part of the mysterious galaxy we were all in come alive. Industry was a boon, mining operations became a thing, and eventually the galactic market was properly being utilized which was surprising to many of us so early on.

How do you like it, Elon Musk?

How do you like it, Elon Musk?

I see a lot of potential in this game the realistic solar system is very intriguing to me I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this video game and it’s right up there with kerbal space program, but with kerbal space program 2 coming out soon we shall see how this game will be comparable. The only downside I have to this game is the building mechanics really need to be worked on the putting together of parts of your ship it can become very glitchy and quite frustrating. When you do get the ship that you were building to work correctly it’s a phenomenal game I just hope this game doesn’t get abandoned because it has some great potential.

Real player with 23.5 hrs in game

This game is awesome it’s just awesome, I wonder if Elon Musk has licensed the devs to use his name xD

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were so, because Elon Musk is known for being a Billionaire but modest I don’t act like another billionaire who acts like a complete dick and even named his company after his little dick ;-)

At first, I thought it was some cheap Kerbal Space Program rip-off, but no it’s a really great game!

As for me, as for me, I attended an ISTQB course for manual testers, took the ISTQB istqb foundation level exam and I missed a few fucking points to pass, a few goddamn points.
