Needs more development time and testing alot of stuff only half works and the inventory system needs alot of work. They need to change the inventory system as well as change the way your character gets energy replenished, it is currently too tedious to eat/drink. Cannot recommend this game, especially at that price. I see what they were going for and it is a cool concept, but for the price there is much better games for the same if not cheaper. I would like to recommend this game and give a good review, but in its current state I cannot. Hopefully it will get better and I think they should take ideas from games like Space Engineers on how to execute this games functions much better. For now this review will remain negative until much needed improvements are made.

As someone who has nearly all the achievements and an ironic amount of playtime at the moment of reviewing, I feel as though I am legally obligated to review this game.

I’ll spare you the history lesson here, as you probably know what Among Us is. I’ll just talk about the new update and my experience with it. The new update includes 4 new roles, 3 of them are for Crewmates and the other is for Impostors. Scientist, Engineer, Guardian Angel, and Shapeshifter. The Scientist can access the Vitals from anywhere, and any time. Engineers can vent, just like Impostors. Do note that the abilities of Scientist and Engineer get disabled if the Comms Sabotage occurs. The Guardian Angel is given to you upon being voted out or being killed by an Impostor. It allows you to break the game by shielding Crewmates and disabling an Impostor’s Kill Button for an entire round. The Shapeshifter is an Impostor-Exclusive, and allows you to become any Crewmate that is/was alive during a current round. Anybody from a previous round cannot be shifted into.

Moonbase Alpha

Moonbase Alpha

Moonbase Alpha is a marvel of the 21st century. You cannot even compare any other games like Gears of War, Call of Duty, Team Fortress 2, or even Assassin’s Creed to this landmark in human intelligence. If you were to put a average Joe into this kind of enviroment, his head would implode from the amazing graphics, story, and gameplay. If you were to play this game, your feeble monkey brain would not even be able to understand the deep, complex and twisted story of Moonbase Alpha. NASA’s masterpiece of 2010 shows us how far America has come in understanding space and lifestyle in space. Moonbase Alpha shows that even through NASA, we can learn much more about space and the human psyche. Moonbase Alpha follows the story of astronaut John Madden and his daily life on Moonbase Alpha, NASAs experimental base on the moon. If John fails his secret mission objective, his family and status in the NFL will be taken away and soiled by NASA. Moonbase Alpha brings us this harrowing story along with intense gameplay elements such as fixing carbon dioxide leaks, repairing solar panels, and driving robots. If you even attempted to finish such a hard, cruel game, you would be hailed as a god among men. Jesus would bless you with immortality and wealth beyond comprehension. The graphics in Moonbase Alpha top even Crysis 3 and have made many a computer catch fire. Even my IBM Super Computer cannot handle such a masterpiece as Moonbase Alpha. Many will look back to this game in the future, and smile as they remember their glorious past. NASA will forever be hailed as the wunderkind of this millenia. Thank you, NASA, for creating such a wonderful and exciting game.

The Last Archwing

The Last Archwing

The last Archwing reminded me of the traditional plane/helicopter shooting games I used to play in the pizza parlor as a kid. The more up to date graphics and controls were nice and enjoyed the variety of funny characters. My 5 year old son was able to beat the game on casual and enjoyed the humor as well.

Real player with 37.0 hrs in game

The Last Archwing nails game balance. It’s frustrating enough to keep you interested, but not in a way that’s discouraging. The variety of enemies is just right. The pacing is on par with the best of 2D side scrolling and vertical scrolling games. It’s nostalgic in a way that brings back the classic game feel, but because of the story, music, graphics (specifically lighting) and voice acting, the game is firmly placed into the modern era of games. A shout out to the barrel roll game mechanic for being easy to use but hard to master. Smashing multiple enemies with one roll is immensely satisfying. Deciding between using barrel roll and Death Wave adds a layer of depth that is compelling. The music choice for the different levels and opening sequence is superb. I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying this game.

Saboteur

Saboteur

In a game of one versus up to six other players both teams need to use observational skills and planning to succeed.

There are 12 objectives spread across three floors. You have 30 minutes. There are 6 Security Forces and the Saboteur only needs 6 objectives to win. Play too passive as Security and you lose.

Play too aggressively as the Saboteur and you’ll give yourself away.

Security has to be careful though, kill a scientist and the Saboteur wins. Kill the Saboteur and you win. If the Saboteur can’t get enough objectives in time Security wins.

The Saboteur

  • You have to achieve your objective of sabotaging enough critical areas while blending in with the AI controlled scientists. Don’t draw any unwanted attention. Observe and mimic the scientists.

  • You have several tools to your advantage, like the ability to sabotage lights and doors among others.

  • With greater mobility you can outmanoeuvre Security Forces if you play smart.

Security Forces

  • Deduce the identity of the Saboteur by observing the scientists.

  • Patrol and defend the critical stations from sabotage.

  • Work together with the rest of the Security Force, communication is key.

You start with a maximum of 8 people, most are saints but 1 or more play as sinners.

Saints get a task list that they should complete but they also need to work together and try to figure out who the sinner is.

Sinners need to act like they do the tasks, win trust and brutally slaughter the poor saints one by one when nobody is watching them.

You communicate with each other through the in-game chat or voice chat and you can share your suspicions at any moment of the game.

Hades' Star

Hades' Star

I’ve played Hades’ Star since Oct 2017 when it was mobile only and it’s been a great ride. I’m currently level 177 and running Red Star 8s, for reference. The most important thing I can suggest to someone just starting is to join the official discord and chat with the community. The link can be found in the news section in-game.

Hades’ Star currently has three game modes, other than your home system (Yellow Star):

  1. Red Stars – This is a max 4-player co-op mode where you need to kill AI ships in order to obtain artifacts that you then research for higher ships’ module levels. These can be done solo, but it’s a lot easier with others.

This game is starting really slow, and the first moment I started to play, I knew it would be endless grind, I got what I expeced.

The Corporations are a really fun idea, and I enjoy most of the game mechanics - it is a really good game.

The high volatility of ressources make it an interesting long term project for me.

Come join it, give your waste time a meaning.

Join a Corporation and collect seemingly endless ressources for your Empire.

But the game has also negative sides.

  1. You cannot destroy any building
