Meat & Greed

Meat & Greed

Meat & Greed is a 3D side scroller puzzle platformer game set in a slaughterhouse.

By controlling cows, chickens, and other animals, the player has the ability to manipulate the environment to solve puzzles, and eventually escape the place. Intense atmosphere of horror and visual narration will help to convey criticisms of the modern meat industry beyond a supermarket shelf.

All puzzle indie game lovers, as well as environmentally cautious players will appreciate both the moral goal and the refreshing approach to movement, switching between playable characters, and narrative design of the game.

More reviews on our Curator Page

Developed by the Russian studio Team Renzy, Orange Cast is a long-awaited third-person action game, across a universe filled with lore, mysteries, and of course, lots of alien dangers. It is considerably more linear than what I expected but still manages to deliver quite the impressive content.

When I first heard of Orange Cast, my expectations were high, as with many others waiting for another horror space action game that could very well take inspiration from Dead Space, in a Mass Effect universe. Obviously fans took over this cross between titles as a gesture of hope, wishing for it to actually be true, sooner or later.

Negative Atmosphere

Negative Atmosphere

Negative Atmosphere is a third person, over-the-shoulder survival horror game dedicated to dread, tension and trauma. Trapped aboard the voidship TRH Rusanov, Samuel Edwards must evade, fight and kill his former crew-mates as an outbreak transforms them into monsters. There’s only one way out and an entire ship to cross. Danger lurks around every corner and time is running out. Explore the depths of the Rusanov, pull whatever resources you can out of its guts, and run.

Treat the infection

As Chief Medical Officer of the Rusanov, Edwards has a confident, in-depth understanding of medicinal drugs. Routine medication can be repurposed for more creative ideas, or transformed into something more extreme. Whether attempting to save the injured, influence enemies or alter himself, Samuel’s medical knowledge will be key to his survival.

Every choice matters

Edwards has beliefs, past experiences and coping mechanisms that players will learn throughout Negative Atmosphere. This means that morality is not just about what you want as a player, as every decision will have an effect on Edwards. Learning his values is important: working with them or against them will affect Samuel’s mental state and change how he reacts to events.

Nowhere is safe

The Rusanov is infested with threats, from man and machine alike. Humans on board have mostly fallen victim to the outbreak, twisting their limbs and stretching their bodies into creatures that are near-unrecognisable. Robots are becoming unstable; some turn violent and roam the ship’s corridors, while others break down in a state of utter panic. Between the remains of the crew, the confused husks of metal and other terrors that skulk in every shadow, every engagement could be Samuel’s last.

Your survival is… unlikely.

Lunar Rover

Lunar Rover

If you are reading the reviews and thinking about buying it, you probably already know you are going to love it. Likely you saw and it stopped because you like anything to do with outer space. The list of awesome starts with, “Driving around on the moon.” The game is certainly peaceful, serene, and relaxing. Driving without racing, or shooting anything - very well done. You may learn a few things along the way, too. Oh, and you get to drive around on the moon!

Artwork and environment are beautiful, physics are seemingly reasonable (not sure, never been there!). The game doesn’t punish us for bad driving, even when we intentionally do so. This is a hassle-free simulation experience.

TL;DR at the bottom.

Lifeless Planet is an incredible game filled with atmospheric joy and a story that only gives you just enough to figure out what is going on. You play as an American astronaut that is sent to explore a planet that your readings suggest is brimming with life. Upon arrival you find that this planet is nothing like you expected. It houses strange secrets of past explorers and a nation trying to find the perfect life away from Earth only to find that meddling with things they don’t understand almost never ends happily. An interesting mix of casual exploration and platforming, it keeps things relatively fresh most of the time. You should feel the want to get to the end to see how everything pans out and what the mysteries of this Lifeless Planet are, but at the same time your feeling of eerie isolation and the ambient sounds of the world make you want to take your time looking at the planet and chilling out as well. I became lost in the isolationist atmosphere and didn’t want it to end.

Lifeless Planet is a beautifully atomspheric adventure game, throwing you in the space suit of an astronaut who, after a long journey through space, reaches a mysterious planet in search of life & potentially a new home for humanity. On arrival, you discover you are alone, isolated on a planet seemingly devoid of life, yet strangely there is a Soviet town abandoned long ago. How can this be & what has happened here? As the story unfolds, & you explore more of this intriguing alien world, you soon realise there is a much more going on than meets the eye. The planet is not as lifeless as it seems…

Rocket Explorer

Rocket Explorer

A fun program/game that allows you to play around with a good amount of real-life rockets. There is a decent amount of bugs, and the GUI is not very intuitive. However, it is a beta release, and I’m sure all of these flaws will be fixed in the near future.

Hi,

As a Space fan, I was looking forward to this game.

But paying around 10 Euros wasn’t worth at all. The achievement system doesn’t work, a lot of details are missing (for example the engines which come in form of basic shapes, …), a lot of rockets just warp into the sky when launching, etc…

On the other side, I see a lot of potential, the described flaws are all solvable by code or design. Maybe a feature could be added where you could see what’s going on inside the rockets. Ich which parts are the tanks for Oxygen, Hydrogen, Methane, RP1, where is cargo storage, where does the crew sit…

A Forever Solitude

A Forever Solitude

An emotional and psychological story of survival, fear, solitude, love, life and purpose. Solve puzzles, unlock mysteries, and determine your fate. Played in the Third Person in a Zero-G environment. With a cinematic score. High quality voice acting. A story over 10 years in the making. From solo developer, David Fazzio.

This game builds upon the success of David’s debut game, The Companion . This game has a strong focus on Story and Narrative and is accompanied with striking visuals and artistic style. This follow-up game will layer in more gameplay components such as puzzles, mystery and survival. Play in a brutal, yet beautiful, sci-fi environment.

  • A game of survival, and the will to survive.

  • A branching storyline that can change based on previous decisions.

  • Solve puzzles and unravel mysteries.

  • A Punishing environment with numerous death scenarios.

  • Featuring a beautiful soundtrack and high quality voice acting

  • Zero-G movement.

In search for the next hospitable planet, a group of humans embark on a 200 year voyage to another galaxy. Their bodies rest in stasis as the AI controlled vessel makes its long journey. During the voyage the vessel is struck by debris.

There is catastrophic damage to the vessel. The areas hit are sealed off and the vessel continues onward. However, the full effects of the devastation have not yet been fully realized.

Years later your cryo-chamber succumbs and you are jolted awake from your stasis. You are injured, cold, and alone. You have been awakened… A lifetime too soon.

Can you survive? Will you?

The content and trailer currently displayed have been through 5 months of solo development. This story was conjured up over 10 years ago as a potential short film project. Transitioning this story into a game only made sense and will allow for much more freedom. I am excited to explore Zero-G movement, the sci-fi genre, and space environments.

With the recent advances in technology, now independent and solo developers have so much more resources and power at their disposal. I feel confident I can output a very high quality product to accompany this story. In the past year we’ve been introduced to Unreal Engine 5 and Metahumans, both technologies I intend to take full advantage of.

My first game, The Companion, took 10 months of development. I intend for this project to take a bit longer to develop. This project has many more demands that will elongate development. I will strive to release development updates throughout the duration of this project. Stay updated by joining my Discord and following my other social media channels.

If you made it this far, Thank you 3

Black Sun

Black Sun

In this game, you fly a space ship through an open world. Your sidekick is an AI assistant who understands your text-written commands and helps you to steer the ship, survive heavy space combat or to find the next gas station.

"Space is a terrible place. The kidnapping of my brother and the Captain’s death didn’t make it easier. Thank god, there is Hopper."

You play Eli, a young man stranded on the antique star freighter Lucky Beggar. You don’t like space yet here you are.

Features

  • Text freely in natural language with your AI assistant Hopper: let her fly the ship, get her help during combat or ask for a market analysis to maximise your trading profit. She knows a lot - including terrible space jokes.

  • A large 2D open-world universe containing numerous solar systems, space stations and ships to discover. Large means astronomical and impossible-to-fly-through. Be grateful if the jump engine works properly.

  • Find your kidnapped brother while making interstellar friends and enemies. An over 5-hours long cinematic storyline is waiting for you!

  • Enjoy epic space battles with hundreds of ships.

  • You decide how you pay the bills for fuel and supplies: be a smart trader, solve rewarding quests or take missions from shady people in the space pub.

  • Your ship is a temple. Repair it, get upgrades and don’t fly it into asteroid fields. Those dents stay.

  • Put on the headphones, fasten your seat belt and relax: one hour of orchestral soundtrack - originally composed just for this game!

  • Modding encouraged! Most of the game’s content is freely changeable by using a beginner-friendly script language and images. Add your own quests, ships or places. Teach new commands to the AI assistant.
