Galaxy on Fire 2™ Full HD

Galaxy on Fire 2™ Full HD

Game Library randomizer once again returned me a familiar game title. Galaxy on fire 2 is a game I had on my iPhone 3. I probably wasted over 200-300 hours of my life playing this game when I was bored and I don’t even remember when I got this full HD version on steam.

After so many years I finally tried this game for real on steam. Graphics is aged but the full HD is still wonderfully eye candy. The Nebula, Planet, Asteroids and space station is well designed and looks on par with much bigger space game series like X, Wing Commander and space ranger.

For those that find the X series of games a little intimidating this is probably the game for you.As a big fan of the X series I was looking for a ‘Space Fix’ as the new X game ‘X Rebirth’ is very very broken at the moment but I should point out that Galaxy on Fire 2 HD is no where near as in depth as those games so if you are a fan of the X series this game may not fulfill your space sim need.If however you are looking for a more arcade type space sim Galaxy on Fire 2 maybe the game for you.

The basics are simple enough..there is a storyline(a short one) and there are various freelance missions you can take at the stations to earn money and buy upgrades for your ship or buy another ship..you can also mine asteroids (an annoying mini game but a cash cow non the less).

Don’t waste your money. This game, off you can call it that, is incredibly slow and boring.

BLACKBODY THEORY OF MOTION

BLACKBODY THEORY OF MOTION

This game is still in early stages, but it is addictive and genuinely scary.

There are some much-needed improvements, including

  • Better controls for up/down, a function to reset to the “normal” plane where most asteroids are located,

  • View distance that doesn’t look unnatural (now the objects just spawn out of blackness),

  • Saves,

  • Goals, achievements,

  • Softer sounds, current ones are way too harsh.

Perseverance Mission - Astronaut Charlie

Perseverance Mission - Astronaut Charlie

I like it very much. This game is awesome. It might be difficult at first. If you play for a while, it will challenge you a lot. Thank you for creating a good puzzle game.

Another tile sliding puzzle with a cat. This one has a sci-fi theme and spacey music. You can only really see it’s a cat on the title screen, otherwise it’s just a small mars rover that goes along the path. It gets a bit tedious towards the end when there is only one tile to spare but that’s pretty standard for tile sliders. Nice for an evening with a puzzle and some bright warm colored mars environments.

Space Defense Grid

Space Defense Grid

“Space Defense Grid” is a tower defense game. The enemies in the game will attack the energy center, steal energy and then escape. Players need to build defense grid according to different levels. It should be noted that different enemies have their own characteristics, such as some enemies get energy and speed up to escape, or open the energy shield, etc. players need to adjust the grid specifically, in addition,The game designs the enemy’s shield and weapon’s armor penetration, For example, the armor penetration of weapon a is 3, the shield value of enemy B is 4, the damage of a attacking B is reduced by 10%, and the effect range of weapon to enemy is 10% - 100%.

Futuridium EP Deluxe:

Some people like flying, some people have outstanding reflexes. Well, if this is one of your combinations, “Futuridium EP Deluxe” is going to be fun and challenging for you, my friends!

Futuridium EP Deluxe is an action / space type of game where you take control of a spaceship. You will have to shoot sky blue squares, located on, under and around large vessels, as fast as possible to reveal its core (white cube), destroy it and win the level! You will have 50 to clear in total.

Hm, strange how this game doesn't have more praise! I think it's awesome! Fast-paced and adrenaline-pumping with a great classic arcade feel!

Not that there aren't a fair few other games that shoot for that same goal, but I think this one does it particularly well!

Highly recommended! As for how much I think it's worth paying for it… I paid less than £1.50 but it's definitely worth more than that I think ^^

## Gaia Project

I had zero Gaia Project experience before booting this up. I think there's a marginal learning curve to the UI, but after you run through the tutorial and get a game or so in, it's totally reasonable.

The AI is also fantastic, really an exceptionally well done AI for a game of this complexity. I have about 15 games under my belt, all on 3-player 8-sector, and Hard AI continues to offer a real challenge (winning scores tend to be in the 160-170 range, whether it's me or the AI pulling it off). The paths taken to victory also seem quite varied, so it's not like it's just programmed to spam Econ4 or something dumb; there's real complexity going on under the hood. It's not like every decision is perfect, but I seriously think it'd be difficult to find a better done digital board game AI for a game of this sheer scale.

Honestly I've played countless games of Gaia Project IRL, it's absolutely my favorite TTG, and this digital adaptation is perfectly fine. Yes, there are grammatical errors, but how many of us actually read the EULA to begin with? Oh noes, they forgot the C in Bescods in the achievements! Time to review bomb the game, amirite?

And sure, the UI is "clunky" compared to in-person, but let's be real here - Gaia Project is probably one of the most complex games most people will ever learn. If you're taking the time to learn it, you probably have enough smarts in you to get through some menu screens. Upgrade your cognitive navigation track past 1 before you throw your hands up in defeat.

## Galaxy's Extreme

This game has a lot of potential. I would love to see replays implemented, as well as after the race machine cams, kinda like F Zero GX has. The game runs great, looks amazing, and has super tight controls. I highly recommend this game to any fans of F Zero, Wipeout, or if you just like fast racing games.

Very polished and futuristic racer. Soundtrack is very atmospheric with a hint of 90s dance! Played for about 20 minutes and there are lots of tracks and many ships to unlock which i guess the more you play and advance through the game you can unlock.

The graphics are impressive and the speed is fast but you don't find yourself crashing into the side of the track a lot trying to control the ships! When you do crash you don't lose a lot of time trying to catch up to the other ships and trying to gain back your position.
