La-Mulana 2
9/10. Very solid. Highly recommended. But it’s not as good as La-Mulana 1. Let’s look at it, shall we?
First thing you should know is that there is exactly one other game like La-Mulana (and the original freeware La-Mulana, but we’re talking about the remake), and that game is La-Mulana 2. So there’s no alternative, really. La-Mulana is a brutal puzzle-metroidvania, and until La-Mulana 2 came along, La-Mulana was the only brutal puzzle-metroidvania. La-Mulana 2 features easily 100 hours of exploration and puzzle-solving. My in-game completion time was over 106 hours, which is a lot. I like to describe La-Mulana 1 as a cross between a puzzle hunt and a kick to the face. La-Mulana 2 is somewhat less dependent on masochism, which is why 1 was better.

La-Mulana 2 is a worthy sucessor to the first game, but it shows some rough edges that will hopefully be adressed in future updates. It does improve some areas, but in others falls short.
+ Positives:
- Platforming and contronl over your character is much better than La-Mulana 1. You have much more control mid air and level design takes this in consideration. You can also grab from stairs during a jump. Can also crouch to evade stuff and use in puzzles. This is a big improvement over the rigid controls of the original.

Ball laB
Ball Lab is for sure an exciting and challenging platformer, quite strange too!
Well, you’ll get what the store page offers - a hardcore, minimalistic platformer.
And actually the game’s hard from the very beginning - there’s a lack of a tutorial that I always point out, but apart from this thing you’ll have two choices - fall down to the exit on the right side, or jump through the spikes your way and get to the elevator that teleports you at the very first level.
The game can be easily played by using the WASD key with the spacebar for jumping, although there are no guides that tell you if you can remap controls or even what a single key does.. but it’s quite simple in such a minimalistic game!

Very hard and fun, but slightly buggy platformer.
This is a very simplistic, minimalistic platformer. There are 60 Levels - each getting increasingly harder and introducing new obstacles.
The artstyle is very simple too, with colours ranging from white - to grey - to black. Controlls are equaly as simple - there is not even really a tutorial. - Jump, sprint, move - thats it. Ive got to say: the menu design is pretty well done - the menu and level selection screen are part of the game too - and you can even die there.

Grizzland
Simple but nice little metroidvania
While having all the ingredients needed to brew a decent metroidvania, Grizzland also feels like a breath of fresh air in the genre due to its unusual simplistic (but neat) visual style and fascinating way to reveal the plot to a player.
Probably the only weak side of the game is its length - you can easily complete it 100% within 6-7 hours.
However the cheap price makes it a fair deal.
If what you see in the preview doesn’t turn you off, then go ahead and buy, most likely your gameplay experience won’t disappoint you either.

Pichon
Pichon is a cute platformer where your character is always jumping. This creates some interesting mechanics as you time your dips and hops to duck under spikes and get over hot oil.
You die in one hit, but the game is fast-paced and has lots of checkpoints so you will be back in the game instantly. Dying is generally painless as long as you’re not going for a perfect run.
Most of my criticisms deal with achievements which looks like were designed to just pad the amount of playtime. Requiring 30 perfect playthroughs of each stage is a bit ridiculous and if the developer was forced to do it, I feel like they would reconsider this.

A good simple platformer with nice pixel art who start easy but becomes really challenging, if you like old school flash puzzle-platformers you’ll love it.

Reverse x Reverse
A fun and challenging puzzle platformer. Execution gets challenging as you go on, especially when going for faster stage times. Because of the difficulty, devising faster solutions and pulling off tricky manuevers are incredibly satisfying.

Reverse x Reverse is the latest game from desunoya_Logodesunoya, creator of Tobari and the Night of the Curious Moon. This game is a cute & quirky challenging puzzle platformer that has a total of 81 mind-melting levels that comes with online leader boards, where you get to control two girls that is heroic and witty at the same time, Code and Rithm, as who have been set out on a quest into a internal layer of their game world to find the root cause of Bug Fields that have been rapidly spreading. Help them both through the levels and collect data discs that will be used to restore their world!

Big Fish
Lucky me has the dubious honour of writing the first review for Big Fish.
Big Fish is an early access 2D top down retro pixel brawler/maze negotiation game. In terms of gameplay it’s a ripoff of the first chapter of Spore/the Sparkle series, as you control a top down fish thing and swim around and collect upgrades that give you different enhancements. Following on from the Spore ripoff, in later stages of the game you jump out onto land, but instead of a 3D brawler you get (sigh), a 2D retro pixel platformer stage.

Theseus - Mythological Hero
Broken mechanics, invisible walls, and a terribly designed maze with awful lighting plague this asset reliant mess of a game.

It’s just BAD. Nothing more needs to be said. Watch part of my first impressions review video if you need more about it.
NOT RECOMMENDED, even if it were free, I’d tell you to stay far away.

It runs terribly and looks awful.
For a solo development, it is pretty cool but as a game that I paid $$ for, it is a failure.
Take this over to itch.io for some help and feedback.
