Sekiro™: Shadows Die Twice - GOTY Edition
My proudest gaming achievement.
Sekiro is a rock hard, unforgiving, thrilling, beautiful, roller coaster of a ride. Any Souls game experience you have will actually work against you in Sekiro for the most part. It takes the From Software formula in a completely new direction that was initially frustrating for me but ended up be incredibly fulfilling.
My initial playthrough was going along great until I ran into Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen. That guy was the biggest brick wall of any From Software game for me. I actually gave up for awhile but eventually it clicked. I Got Gud as they say.

Trials of Argolis
I’ve done a lot of testing for this game and nearly every time was a joy (bridge boy frustrates me sometimes!! ;-;). Very fluid and smooth first-person combat with challenging bosses and fast paced action. The handpainted artwork lends a really neat aesthetic and overall it looks gorgeous. A great dynamic in play styles despite the rather simple controls and each boss has a particular gimmick to it. Lots of content and deffo worth a buy! ;_; eek

Unsouled
I was a backer of this project and have play-tested the early builds before the developer has announced that this game is going to be published by Neowiz. If you really want to see the game that pushes the limitation of stamina-action game mechanics (AKA souls-like), You guys need to play this game. Imagine someone mixed Hyper Light Drifter, Sekiro, 3D Ninja Gaiden, and Tekken in an iron pot and condensed it into 5~8 hour game. Definitely one of the best action games in 2021, even without the context that this game was developed by one person for five years.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.
|
Is this game a masterpiece? No, I don’t think so, at least not for everyone. It is a very combo-focused, fast action RPG. The pixel art is good (your character and enemies are quite small), but the combat is something to get used to. You won’t get very far with just normal attacks, you really need to learn those combos and execute them lightning fast and with good aim. If you like that, and normal button mashing combat is too easy or repetitive for you, then take a closer look at this game. You will not be disappointed.

DARK SOULS™ III
This is one of my favorite games of all time. There’s so much depth, variety of playstyles and builds, plenty to explore and learn about the game, so many weapons to use and play with. Weapon arts are cool, hit boxes are (mostly) really fucking good in pve, and there’s an amazing sense of power in actions done in this game.
A lot of people consider ds3 the fastest of the 3, with faster movements, rolling, stamina usage, ect ect.
In my opinion, this gives your player character a “badassatry” that doesn’t exist in any other souls game. You’ll roll through giant moves, just BARELY dodge a flurry of attacks, and slam the enemy with your 66 strength scaled heavy ultra greatsword.

Masterful level design, compelling combat and weapon systems. varied and fun magical options. Dark souls 3 is the kind of game that you can replay over and over with different experiences each time. At the surface level, the community can seem toxic, but you can fairly easily get past those people to find the passionate, helpful, and friendly community it has to offer. If you’re looking at Elden Ring and not sure if you want to buy it, try this game first. Take the time to read item descriptions and npc dialogue for an interesting and interconnected story below the surface of it all.

Grass Cutter - Mutated Lawns
Such a fun game! Play it now! What do you have to loose. The music is hype and the artwork in Grass Cutter is awesome. The game itself is simple, or is it? You’ll find yourself repeating the same level to get the best time and score and you’ll challenge yourself to do better and better. When you run into the monsters sometimes your lawn mower will explode! You can choose from many different kinds of lawnmowers too. Grass Cutter is comical, challenging, fun, and addicting. There are TONS of levels so you’ll be entertained for many many hours. I still haven’t gotten to the end :)

I love this game. Looks so simple yet gets difficult later on. You’re always moving the moment you press a button. It is possible to find a spot to park on some levels, but since you’ll still be using battery can’t stop for long either.
Controls are simple: arrow keys or WASD along with any other controls you’ll get as you play further.
The music that plays keeps the game fun for me. They’re not annoying loops or generic music, instead feel made for the game and helps it grasp your attention while mowing the lawn while avoiding grass monsters. I find myself dancing to the beat of the music too!

Titan Souls
For people who’ll TLDR, here’s the verdict. This game is amazing but it’s specifically aimed towards people who like a darn good challenge and don’t care about dying a LOT. Not like in Super Meat Boy where it’s fast paced but still holds a lot of the trial and error.
–——————————————————–
I don’t think the constant not recommended reviews said to be the most helpful give this game the right kind of justice. This game is very, very good. I had way too much fun playing it. It’s really short however, and would have liked more bosses to fight.

DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin
I am kind of surprised that I have not reviewed this game yet, Surprise! It’s my favorite of the series. I played DS2 twice as much as I did DS and DS3 combined. DS2 really hit the mark as slower pace, tactical, and methodical combat. I love the variety of viable builds in the game. I love the fashion in the this game compared to the others. I love the community that still plays this game and there are fair number of people on my friends list that I have met through this game.
I’m a a Sunbro at heart and the thing that I love the most about this game is the “Frigid Outskirts”. Growing up in Minnesota, it really made feel like home. I spent a good deal of time throwing my summons sign next to Vengarl of Forossa’s sign in the hopes that the host would choose us both of which they very often did. I would stick to Vengarl’s side like glue and watch his back and he would watch mine. It would be me, Vengarl, the host, and maybe another summons going across the frozen waste. Me trying to keep the host from going the wrong direction or running when the blizzard hits. As long as Vengarl was alive, I would be alive and as long as I was alive, Vengarl would be alive except for the times that he got donkey kicked off of the cliff.

After doing this game 100% I can safely say this game is an unfair piece of trash game that just wants you to suffer. The bosses are not the issue I did not find them to be unfair for the most part, yet they definitely are not good, the problem lies in the level design where the developers just decided to spam the same enemies over and over and over to just gank you as much as possible, so you suffer as much as they feasibly could make you because their goal was not to make a game like Dark Souls 1 where the player is supposed to overcome the challenges, the goal of the developers was to make a difficult game completely ignoring the vision of 1 where the difficulty is not the focus heck, even the intro tells you how many times you will die.
