Story:

It all began in the days of bicentenary war, when the Order of Crusaders led the campaign against the elder nations. The Order was victorious; it took no prisoners, exterminating one race after another. Dead bodies filled the streets of ravaged cities. And amidst this putrid stench the darkest evil came to our world…

A terrible curse caused people to go insane and rot alive, slowly turning into atrocious monsters. Cities hit by this epidemic turned into giant hives of the ones led by the will of the pack. Soon all the elder kingdoms were swallowed by the Plague.

The king ordered the Master of the Order to stop the campaign and to build fortresses against the infection, and 300 years since they are defending the northern land from the swarm of plague.

Sometimes infected crusaders kept themselves sane. Those who suffered such fate were setting off their last crusade. Struck with the disease, they became plague hunters and were heading to the very heart of the infected land just to fall in battle and take as many insane monsters as they could with…

Draco Knight

Draco Knight

The Game

Draco Knight is a 2D action-platformer which uses twin stick controls to provide an easy to learn but hard to master gameplay. Combat is exciting, fast paced and impactful, requiring both finesse and quick decision making skills. The art and animation of Draco Knight is done in pixel art form, which is reminiscent of games from the 90s.

Story

The land of Draconia has been at peace for decades since the Great War was fought, and yet now the kingdom is under threat from monsters which has never been encountered before. Currently, the kingdom still holds mainly due to the might of the Draco Knights, great and noble warriors who turned the tides of the Great War. Experience the tale of a lone knight who fights to reclaim a fortress lost to evil forces within the realm. Beat back the threat and discover the mysterious nature of the enemies that now beset the land.

Exploration

Delve into the realm of Draconia and discover hidden secrets which will aid the knight in his quest, and more importantly identify the source of the monsters that is invading the realm of Draconia.

Engage oppressive and menacing foes

Bosses are designed to be brutal and challenging, but perhaps with some ingenuity and finesse even the greatest of foes can be defeated.

Boss Rush: Mythology

Boss Rush: Mythology

Right now the game is on sale for only 0.99 euros, which is a steal if you enjoy:

  • Side-scrolling combat

  • Dark Souls

  • Boss fights (that’s all the game is)

If you don’t mind the graphics you see on the trailer and you can put up with the occasional junkyness that comes with indie games, Boss Rush: Mythology is definitely worth a buy.

I’ve only beaten the 1st boss so far but i will update this review once i finish the game. For now i just wanted this to work more as a shoutout for what seems to be a great deal.

Boss Rush: Mythology feels like a 2D Dark Souls that, like Cuphead, is just boss level after boss level. I highly recommend this game, but with a few caveats. The difficulty bar for this game is insanely high, and without knowing a few tricks, it may seem unmanageable for some players.

Pros:

+Difficulty - If you love difficult games, then this is for you. Cuphead and the Dark Souls series are some of my favorites, and if these games appeal to you, then you will enjoy Boss Rush: Mythology.

+No fluffy B.S. - This game jumps immediately into the action. There is an optional tutorial, and then you have your hub area. This area is small and lets you either buy items with gold accrued, or head over immediately to the bosses. Even though the area is small, you can also warp straight to the items or boss doors, saving you a few more seconds of running. This game cuts out all of the extra fluff, focuses on just the bosses, and has a simplistic setup, which I enjoyed.

Timo’s Adventures

The game is very dynamic, great art and with the humour being a nice touch. You would need to react fast on certain areas. I wish the player had more lives, coz those finish pretty quickly. I liked the idea of switching the character against fire, jungle and water. The game is very easy to pick up and play, though you would be challenged if you want to progress further.

Review:

This game is really fun I enjoy rhythm games even though I’m trash at them, if you like hard rhythm games you will definitely like this. The power downs ESPECIALLY the inverted control one is actually satan and overkill. The dialogue is pretty dope especially when the narrator is constantly making fun of you for sucking at the game. It has a leaderboard as well, even though as per usual I think there’s already people who have used programs to cheat it or the best rhythm game players in the world have already hit all the levels and perfected/near perfected them. I wish there were more normal levels for casual players/songs to play through and the the music is alright nothing super revolutionary, but it’s not bad or annoying.

LOST EPIC

LOST EPIC

Like Odinsphere in art style and difficulty, with a leveling system similar to dark souls. 10/10

You can only fight two bosses and five to ten minibosses depending on how you count them at the moment of writing this. However the combat is smooth and the story has some interesting hints from the bosses but is not very present right now. The combat can be difficult occasionally if you are not leveled up properly, otherwise it has a pretty decent difficulty on single player.

That being that at first you will have to fight strategically to not die, but as you level up you can go back to map areas where you had trouble and plow through them showing off your skill and level increase. There are special areas called mazes scattered throughout the map as you travel and quests that you can take on to extend game play.

I will give quick review on early access. I find most negative reviews are wrong and people only spend few hours on playing this great game while I’m really having fun to play this game, it’s really not difficult metroidvania and suitable even for casual & newbie players. That’s the reason the game made into cute anime to atract people that it’s fun to play.

These are the negative reviews I find are wrong:

❌ Mostly negative reviews saying it’s “repetitive gameplay”, while another metroidvanias games are basically the same. It’s wrong at all. This game is really fun which combines crafting, learning different skills, leveling your chars, building your skill tree.

Tower of Samsara - Hidden Treasures

WARNING: The demo is actually a work in progress in many ways. So if you are willing to give it a try, be mindful that we are still working out some quircks in the gameplay.

Saṃsāra is the repeating cycle of birth, life, death, and reincarnation. During the course of each life, the quality of the actions (karma) performed determine the future of each person. There is no beginning to this cycle but that it can be ended through perceiving reality which is nirvana (liberation).

After incalculable aeons, all civilizations possible have rise and fall on all the planets of our Solar System. Tower of Samsara tells the story of our Sun and its struggle to survive. From this urge, the sun creates itself in the form of our hero, the hermetic champion, to save the solar system from the cold void and to allow the sun to shine back on the ruin of all civilizations and rebuild everything.

Tower of Samsara: Hidden Treasures is the first of a series of games where you are born as the Hermetic Champion to defeat your enemies, learn new abilities and control the elements in both, the physical and the astral plane.
