Football Manager 2022
I’ve enjoyed playing the game for the last 2 weeks, not a lot has changed from last years release but i wasn’t expecting much change, i just enjoy the updated teams and player improvements.
1 thing i am NOT happy with is the in game editor has almost DOUBLED in price, company greed makes me sick. in my opinion this isn’t aimed at new comers as i truly believe they wont even know about the in game editor at first, nooo this is aimed at us lot, the loyal fan base who return year after year. 50p increase, fine… but an almost 50% increase is filth. This isn’t about the price as the IGE is still quite cheap, but nothing new has been added to it, nothing has changed from the last decade, so why that much of a price jump .. imagine next years release, and the full game costs £72, would we be happy with that?

After 292 hours in game, I can say that this doesn’t worth the money. I enjoyed FM21 a lot but FM22 is a major downgrade and makes it a frustrating experience. Even if there was a bet launched before and a lot of bugs and shortcommings were reported, none was solved until the actual launch of the game, which is odd because there isn’t a major update compared with FM21 where all these things worked smooth.
There are major bugs/glitches in the engine like endless passing between defenders, wrong animation at free kicks. unrealistic long headers or shots from players lacking the respective skill

update 28/07: dev kicked me from his discrod server for giving him a bad review…I wouldn’t recommend to buy this game anymore.
If you are interested in an oldschool soccer manager, this could your game. But…
There is still some devleopment, but mostly balance.
There is no more development on the technical side. The dev states that there will be a new game, which will have also some technical improvements.
So my advise is: wait for the second part

Since I Have over 100 or so games purchased on STEAM, I feel qualified to give an accurate analysis on any game I have purchased ! This developer has made one of the BEST SOCCER game I could ever buy !!!! I cannot believe that someone could even think that This Is not worth $5 I am a 76 yr old guy who been around and have purchased so many games in my life that I know have been not worth it at all ! Saying that this game is not worth the price is an insult to the inventor of this game. I hope that he will ignore the complaints, because he has a GREAT GAME that a lot of people will find out ! I do not know the inventor of this game, so this is not a fanboy response !!! As to my age, I would like to throw out a challenge to anyone on this forum to tell me who ALF was !!! He was a character on TV in the 70s !!!

90 Minute Fever - Football (Soccer) Manager MMO
90MF is (still) a text-based MMO Football-Manager-Sim.
1. What are you doing in this game?
You choose your team name, dress colours, emblem (easy to import) and the time of the day/night at which you wanna play. (For example Late evening Football association = LEFA = 8pm-10pm UTC) Then you should be online at this time if possible. If you miss a match you still have 24 hours to play it, if the opponent is there tho and requests to play, the match starts without you. Then you miss the chance to make substitutions and/or tactical adjustments.

[EDIT] As of Oct 2nd 2020 I’ve given the game a second chance given the “massive” overhaul that was announced by the game devs. The game is actually in a worse shape than when I left. The match engine is still not up to par and even MORE features are now locked behind the subscription paywall, like being able to upload your club’s logo or have access to the whole “manager skills” RPG nonsense.
If you want to be even remotely competitive in this “competitive” game you NEED to have an active paid subscription. This is NOT a free-to-play game by any mean. [END OF EDIT]

Premier Manager 10
I became disillusioned with real life football during this covid pandemic, so I purchased PM 10 to remind myself of better times. These are my findings on PM 10.
Loved the fact that players have a limited number of attributes to judge them by, when buying a player you won’t know their team abilities until after you have paid.
Simplicity of team tactics and formations from which to choose, again I enjoyed this.
I played in all the English divisions and found that 352, direct, attacking, zonal marking was the best. By watching the game at slow speeds you get a fair idea of what might need changing, 352 defensive counter attack can be employed with the same personnel as long as your wingers have reasonable marking and tackling abilities.

If you already have job, this is a fun game that gives you an overall sense of what it might be like to manage your club without affecting the rest of your real life…enough realism and simple to navigate.

Soccer Manager 2020
one of the best football management on Steam i have played and i have played both the 2015 and 2019 versions as well and i feel that this version is far more than a roster upgrade
For a start a lot more teams are featured like my team Boston United (also Liverpool but of course they have been init before)
New 3d matches are far better and the option to skip matches with the quick play feature is very welcome
Also has plenty of new achievement to get from signing a player to win the league and everything in between which makes it feel far more fleshed out then versions before it

I didn’t think I would say it, but this years' edition is borderline good. Soccer Manager 2020 might be your best choice for a free to play, single player footie manager on Steam.
This year
– the game became free of any significant pay to win mechanics
– matches no longer seem to be scripted
– you can fully develop all your facilities, without using real life money or insane amounts of in-game grinding
– we got a new and improved 3D match engine
– Steam achievements are back
– the new menu music is again pretty decent

Global Soccer: A Management Game 2019
This is a brilliant little game, I do wish however there were more updates. Some improvements would be very nice. Some like searching by position, having club badges and kits and upto date league structures.
I hope more updates will come as I’m enjoying it :)

Unfortunately I have the same problem, game silently crashes around week 8 or so leaving steam thinking it is still running. No other option than a total reboot.
I too have no idea how I send the dev my save file, or even where it is for that matter.
Still £6 or so for 15 hours isn’t bad, what else can you get for that price?
Quite happy to change my rating should this problem be sorted, as somewhere in here there is a fun game that doesn’t tax the grey matter too much

Club Manager 2016
8.1/10 (I rarely ever give 8 or higher for a game)
Best manager sim ever. I have played a ton of manager sims (FIFA manager, Football Manager, GoallineBlitz, Blackout Rugby, Powerplay Manager, HSU (Heartland Soccer Union), coupled with dynasty modes in games like Rugby Challenge 1 and 2; EA sports NHL, FIFA, Madden,…; 2k series, PES series, … and without question this game is superior.
The problem with most online manager sims is that you have to wait for games sometimes hence why a non-online one should be superior.

If you dont expect too much, this game is great, in short its a “low budget football manager” there is a lot that needs to be done ofc, but it is a really decent game. There is a lot of things that you can do and i will recomend it to those that cant affort FM or those who dont expect too much of it.

Football Manager 2021 Touch
Credit where credit is due, I was enjoying this game until I encountered a game breaking bug so I wrote a negative review that detailed the bug to warn potential purchasers .
Skip forward less than 2 weeks and not only did they fix the bug but a member of the dev team replied to my review to let me know it had been fixed, I had kept the save and so I tried it and sure enough everything seems back on track and I am more than happy to recommend this game, And now I know we have a Dev team that listen, well makes it 2 thumbs up from me

I have been playing FM and FM Touch for 9 years and have put in thousands of hours. I think that this is probably the best version I have played. It is fair to the human manager in that it doesn’t give too much advantage to the AI. The injuries and the player demands are reasonable. So all around , it is an enjoyable game to play.
There are two things that, if fixed, would make the next version even better. They both deal with the game engine and how it plays out throw-ins. First, if your team has a throw-in very near your own end line, the player to whom it is thrown puts the ball back to the throw-in taker and it almost always ends up as an offside. That is not how the game really works.

Football Manager 2021
The only notable improvement to the game is in the match engine, especially the trophy presentations and added match day detail. However, there are still annoying bugs that irritate me, the main ones being:
-Wingers running at goal from out wide, electing to shoot from the tightest of angles rather than pass.
-Attacking players ballooning headers miles over the bar from point blank range for no apparent reason.
-Players inexplicably running at half pace and losing out on a ball which even your 90 year old nan could get to.

TLDR – I dont think the ME is as good as others are saying, not a fan of the UI but there’s a lot of FM in the game. Meh out of 10.
The overwhelming positivity on the match engine surprises me as that has not been my experience at all. Sure the animations look a bit better and we see some dinks now but there are really disappointing things that happen on the defensive side of the game which lead me to believe that the ME has regressed.
Defenders are incapable of dealing with long balls WHEN AN OPPOSITION PLAYER IS NEAR THEM. They either miss the header, misjudge the flight of the ball and see it sail over their heads or just watch the forward control the ball and run past them for a 1v1 (deeper defensive line caused the last one to occur more). It happens far too often.

Football School
This game is fun! Not to be taken too seriously but it still has all the attributes of running a football club from playing decisions like tactics and training plus all the background responsibilities including stadium, finance, marketing and general club development. I’m still learning how to develop team tactics as the game seems more like pinball rather than a regular game of football as there is no goalie and the ball does not go out of play! If anybody is looking for a serious football tactics game like Football Manager then forget it. But this game is still challenging and you do need to consider the decisions carefully in how you run the club. It is very easy to run out of money. For $S10, this is great value.

2 Hour Review:
I love this game. Its no FM20 but its $9 and the administration of a football team is made very fun here with really nice menus. I wish there was a reminder/calendar page or an inbox for notifications like scheduling friendlies and operations because I missed those a few times early on. Being a day behind on a 5 day operation to earn 2 house points puts you out of the storyline in the introduction phase. The gameplay engine for low level teams is crazy bad. I did play a friendly against a level 16 team as a level 2 team and the AI looked much better with accurate passes and shots, leading to a 11-0 a** kicking of my upstart football team. That gives me hope that the grind on training will make the gameplay more exciting as you watch your decisions to play out. I’ve yet to reach the 5v5 leagues and will update once I’ve reached more.
