Endless Ski

Endless Ski

This game is completely misleading. The entire plot revolves around skiing endlessly; the title makes this much clear from the beginning. However, there is no endless. There is no twist. The game ends as soon as you hit an object on the mountain side. Right on the game cover it shows you this in the form of trees.

This game is a complete mess as a result of its reliance on the fact that it is “endless”; everything falls apart the second you realize that there is in fact no endless. There is no conflict, no character development, and there is scarcely any plot. Whoever made this game must have a serious error in judgement, because you would have to be a toddler to not immediately understand what endless is. This is one of the worst pieces of gaming media I have ever played.

This game is a BLAST! Truly, you remember hiding your computer screen from the teachers while you were trying to run from that stupid yeti? Well this game brought those haunting memories right back. “Just one more game, I can do better” is what I keep finding myself doing. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this game is AMAZING. recommend for sure!

FreakOut …

… is not a perfekt Game, but its one of the few Freestyleski Games on PC. Clearly you cant compare it with the new Game called SNOW here on Steam. This one is from 2007 and the grafics always remind you on that.

BUT its a really fun Game and it has great chellanges. Its a Game you could play for 1000 of hours like I did with the non-Steam version.

I would recommend this Game to every Skier, especially to Freeskiers out there.

Keep on Ridin^^

Being a hardcore fan since it came out I must say this game really is something special and has a special place in my heart. I remember playing it in the winter with my friends over and we would have an awesome time. We would compete with eachother when the highscores were online. We were in the TOP 10 literally. The visuals are still great and it works fine on newer machines and OS’s. Been spamming the forums for years now hoping it would get released. In 2010 I even got this game to be supported on Xfire. Bought the original disc and now I own it on steam too. When the devs reached out to me saying it got released today I was stoaked. It has its' flaws and bugs but it works really good on basically any decent machine out there. I don’t want to spoil any of the game but the main goal is to complete challenges and do freerides. It’s simple but very fun. Just try it out for yourself. The price is not that high. The only thing that needs fixing is the online multiplayer *It does not connect to the central server thus making it only playable thru LAN with Hamachi/ Tunngle…" and the online highscores. That was awesome and it brought so much more to the game and I really hope the great devs over in Austria can get this sorted^^ GET IT WHILE IT’s HOT LADS!;)

I have tried the game on Oculus Rift S and it works perfectly, despite the headset not being listed as a compatible device. At first I found the controls a little bit confusing, but they are pretty easy to learn and I was able to get the hang of them after a dozen minutes. The tutorial could be a bit more comprehensive though. For example it doesn’t tell the player that he’s supposed to look at the wind meter to time his push perfectly. Despite minor mishaps the gameplay is fun, but it gets repetitive after a while. Graphics are okay, they may not be the most realistic, but they get the job done. Right now I can’t say if the amount of content justifies the price tag, but as a product it is refined and very enjoyable.

Is a decent vr skiing game, where the game is jumping off a ramp to earn scores. There are multiple modes like a career mode and free play mode, also with a bunch of different settings for the jump. Gameplay is a bit interesting, with how as you are sliding down and preparing to jump, you are required to balance yourself with having your controllers steady and adjusting your body in the middle from left and right. Though after playing a while, it can perhaps get a bit repetitive as you are kinda just doing the same thing. Also it is a bit to do the timing of things, as i did do fine in the tutorial but in the real thing, i did the same but had some struggle. Reckon its best to grab in a sale if interested, where the price is not too bad.

Ski Region Simulator - Gold Edition

Hi!

After playing Farming Simulator 2011 I couldn’t help but try this one, and it was excellent. I personally found it very immersive, very very expansive and packed out with silly amounts of equipment available to purchase depending on your strategy. It has the exact same gigantic feel to it that Farming Simulator does and if you dare to try it on hard as I did you’ll find you’re really really up against it to keep the slopes in good condition. I’d recommend getting the darker night mod available online somewhere as it really adds to the atmosphere.

Well where do i start…firstly i am a strong simulation game player YES i love simulations so i guess that makes me a bit of a pro when it comes to testing the games and giving a comment and review on a game i have played and tested, so now we come to Ski Region Simulator - Gold Edition i have played this game constant for 192 hours and find it is a very good game it has many missions and you need to keep your eye on your hotels and once in a while change your preferences to meet the holiday makers so you get a good popularity, it is very easy to play and would suit all ages and it has many tools and equipment you can buy to make the game interesting the graphics is good but could be better as we have the hardware in this day and age to have excellent graphics for this type of game but in saying that in the real world you would not see much more in the swiss alps then what you see in this game lets be honest you would see mostly mountains with snow and some cabins and that’s about it.

Ski Park Tycoon

Ski Park Tycoon

I really like tycoon games and amazingly (based on my user name) im a huge fan of skiing as well so I immediately bought this when I heard about it. What I really like about this game over others is that there is very little bothering about with the village, fiddling about with hotel prices is not what I want. It isn’t though only based on the slopes as restaurants and shelters need to be built to be successful. What I also really like in this game is that instead of people appearing at one point in the map isn’t in this game. Instead each map is generated with roads and car parks can be placed at any location flat enough to do so. 90% of the people then spawn at one of these car parks with the rest thought the day. Another thing I really like is the proper animations of people getting on and off chair/drag lifts (cable cars don’t have any animations) instead of teleporting. Personally I really recommend this game to anyone considering it. For anyone wondering about play time I now have 60 hours on this game, I have finnished the campign for the game and am about 20% of the way through the seperate senarios. There are also some addons (senarios but with real world locations) which I havnt even started on.

I love this game. I would definetely recommend to anybody that has a love for skiing or just designing a resort.

Pros

1. Unlimited Mode is very fun

2. All around great game that has no severe bugs that stand out

3. Free Ride is an excellent feature that allows you to enjoy the resort

Cons

1. Campaign too hard

2. Skiers get stuck in some situations and all go into a huge clump

3. Lifts don’t have realistic range and they can’t go over blocked terrain, in most cases

Things to Add (In order of importance)

SNOW - The Ultimate Edition

SNOW - The Ultimate Edition

I can’t believe how many bad reviews this game got. It’s ridiculous. Espescially seeing all the complaints about things like speed and physics when in reality this game has WAY more realistic speed and physics than any other snow games out there like SSX Shaun White Snowboarding etc. All those games have horrible physics and DO NOT replicate real life snow sports what so ever. The funny thing is I have snowboarded all my life and didn’t even care much for skiing, so I was dissappointed that snowboarding isn’t in the game yet, but I went ahead and purchased anyways because I couldn’t wait any longer since there are no other games out there like this one. Long story short this game actually made me like skiing for the first time ever in the 18 years of my life of being a snowboarder. I’ve also been waiting for a game like this forever literally. NO COMPANY has ever made a snow sports game so realistic. I needed a game like this so badly and it’s finally here. So here’s my review:

For the record, before the M10 update, I would have recommended this game.

But with the new update, the game is so much less enjoyable.

SKI PASSES

I’ll start the with the biggest change: the ski passes. This is a very logical concept and, if it were well executed and well implemented into the game, it would have been great. Basically, if you don’t buy any ski passes, you only have access to the tutorial map and one other map, which cycles between all maps every week. With this change, the game doesn’t feel free-to-play at all, it just feels like you’re playing a trial version of the game. If we had at least one other map permanently unlocked like nine knights or something, it would make it sooo much better. Or cycking two maps at a time instead of only one.

Slopecrashers

Slopecrashers

Yes! You read right, arcade snowboarding is back! Which means SLOPECRASHERS is crafted with one thing in mind and that is FUN! This starts from the character selection screen and goes down into the core physics of the game. So press START, choose a character, a board and a hangglider, optionally even up to three buddies of yours for SPLITSCREEN MULTIPLAYER and hit the slopes!

STUNTS, STUNTS and more STUNTS. Yes, very important, because the more daring a stunt is, the more speed you will get out of it. Oh and COMBOS! Chain those stunts together with manuals, small tricks and railslides and redeem the combo meter when you are ready for that EXTRA SPEEDBOOST!

Oh, you thought you could go for a chill ride? I mean yeah you can but look out for your opponents causing EXPLOSIONS, MOLES digging up the ground beneath you, ANGRY SNOWMEN trying to stop you and much more. So go collect items and PROTECT yourself or ATTACK the others! (But for those moments when you just want to cruise down the track and explore everything the slopes have to offer you can choose an opponent-free game mode as well)

And btw, these slopes are not just in snow environments. No! Where we’re shredding, WE DON’T NEED SNOW! So don’t wonder if the next race/slalom/stuntshow/… starts in a shopping mall, a hot desert or a tropical jungle area!

Join our DISCORD community and go behind the scenes of the creation process of the game or join me (the developer who is currently writing this (or wrote this because you will read this later than me)) in my LIVE-STREAMS where I am working on the game and chat with me there.
