Ski Park Tycoon
I really like tycoon games and amazingly (based on my user name) im a huge fan of skiing as well so I immediately bought this when I heard about it. What I really like about this game over others is that there is very little bothering about with the village, fiddling about with hotel prices is not what I want. It isn’t though only based on the slopes as restaurants and shelters need to be built to be successful. What I also really like in this game is that instead of people appearing at one point in the map isn’t in this game. Instead each map is generated with roads and car parks can be placed at any location flat enough to do so. 90% of the people then spawn at one of these car parks with the rest thought the day. Another thing I really like is the proper animations of people getting on and off chair/drag lifts (cable cars don’t have any animations) instead of teleporting. Personally I really recommend this game to anyone considering it. For anyone wondering about play time I now have 60 hours on this game, I have finnished the campign for the game and am about 20% of the way through the seperate senarios. There are also some addons (senarios but with real world locations) which I havnt even started on.

I love this game. I would definetely recommend to anybody that has a love for skiing or just designing a resort.
Pros
1. Unlimited Mode is very fun
2. All around great game that has no severe bugs that stand out
3. Free Ride is an excellent feature that allows you to enjoy the resort
Cons
1. Campaign too hard
2. Skiers get stuck in some situations and all go into a huge clump
3. Lifts don’t have realistic range and they can’t go over blocked terrain, in most cases

Edit after a year - still fun but lack of updates and numerous bugs is not a good prognosis.

Endless Ski
This game is completely misleading. The entire plot revolves around skiing endlessly; the title makes this much clear from the beginning. However, there is no endless. There is no twist. The game ends as soon as you hit an object on the mountain side. Right on the game cover it shows you this in the form of trees.
This game is a complete mess as a result of its reliance on the fact that it is “endless”; everything falls apart the second you realize that there is in fact no endless. There is no conflict, no character development, and there is scarcely any plot. Whoever made this game must have a serious error in judgement, because you would have to be a toddler to not immediately understand what endless is. This is one of the worst pieces of gaming media I have ever played.

This game is a BLAST! Truly, you remember hiding your computer screen from the teachers while you were trying to run from that stupid yeti? Well this game brought those haunting memories right back. “Just one more game, I can do better” is what I keep finding myself doing. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this game is AMAZING. recommend for sure!

I am shock I managed to finished this game, in first sight I was thinking it is kinda retro horror game, but I was wrong, it is not horror game, as the character know no fair, When got traced by deer, wolf, bear, Yeti , skier with gun, skier with chainsaw (!), he give no shxt, he just care if he missed a red/blue flag, what a another level of nerdiness, he rather die than missing a flag or missing the time limit!
anyway, not a bad game for spending me 2 hrs

Winter Sports Games
I was expecting something like the N64 game “Nagano Winter Olympics 98”, in other words: I wasn’t expecting much, but at least something fun. This is not fun. This game is an absolute waste of money and time. For those who don’t know yet, you have to buy it physically to get a Steam key. My strong advice is: don’t. For the love of whatever you believe in, don’t! As another reviewer mentioned, this takes away the opportunity to get a refund, and trust me, you’ll want that.
This game features modes strongly resembling Nagano: Slalom, Downhill, Ski Jumping, Bob (2 people), Luge and Curling.

With curling cancelled, I was looking for a curling fix. Unfortunately, this package didn’t have what I was looking for.
Pros:
The ice surface appeared pebbled and that’s a nice attention to detail.
It looks like the developer cares about making a fun product, and they deserve credit for their efforts.
The control scheme is easy to learn and I can’t complain too much about the controls in general.
Credit for a clever 2-sweeper control scheme.
Cons:
The stones are thrown straight by default, which should be an impossible thing to do.

Comments:
I’ve never really played a bridge builder type game but do generally love building games so when I saw that Curve Digital were helping yet another small British studio get a game out in the wild I couldn’t help but pick it up. And I’m glad I did though I didn’t expect to spend quite so much time with it.
I assume most of the tools are at this point pretty rote for fans of the genre but for me the whole idea was pretty novel and interesting. The game essentially asked me to use a limited set of supports, ramps and the like to get my little skier from one side of the map to another.

I love it! The price really attracted me to buy this game and I wondered if it was a case of “you get what you pay for”. In this instance I can say I got a lot of bang for my buck. The tutorial helped me to understand the slight differences in controls to other games of this type but they are very user friendly and after a few minutes I managed to get to grips with all the hotkey solutions as well.
The learning curve is not too slow so each level offers a new challenge and as you progress the challenge continues to grow as well (3 hours can easily feel like 10 minutes with this one!)

SNOW - The Ultimate Edition
I can’t believe how many bad reviews this game got. It’s ridiculous. Espescially seeing all the complaints about things like speed and physics when in reality this game has WAY more realistic speed and physics than any other snow games out there like SSX Shaun White Snowboarding etc. All those games have horrible physics and DO NOT replicate real life snow sports what so ever. The funny thing is I have snowboarded all my life and didn’t even care much for skiing, so I was dissappointed that snowboarding isn’t in the game yet, but I went ahead and purchased anyways because I couldn’t wait any longer since there are no other games out there like this one. Long story short this game actually made me like skiing for the first time ever in the 18 years of my life of being a snowboarder. I’ve also been waiting for a game like this forever literally. NO COMPANY has ever made a snow sports game so realistic. I needed a game like this so badly and it’s finally here. So here’s my review:

For the record, before the M10 update, I would have recommended this game.
But with the new update, the game is so much less enjoyable.
SKI PASSES
I’ll start the with the biggest change: the ski passes. This is a very logical concept and, if it were well executed and well implemented into the game, it would have been great. Basically, if you don’t buy any ski passes, you only have access to the tutorial map and one other map, which cycles between all maps every week. With this change, the game doesn’t feel free-to-play at all, it just feels like you’re playing a trial version of the game. If we had at least one other map permanently unlocked like nine knights or something, it would make it sooo much better. Or cycking two maps at a time instead of only one.

Just Ski+
I love the premises of this Unity game - you can choose in fact between better graphics or better performance, instead of the usual stupid “ultra”, “poor”, “medium” and such qualities.
This is a small physics indie game, small even because it’s short, and minimalistic for sure - the whole game has in fact just two colors.
The white of the snow will be the main color of the whole game, since you’re playing as a skier, while the rest of the minimalistic world will be colored of black, red, orange, blue and so on.

Just Ski is fun physics game but it lacks a lot of basic features that you would expect from this genre. As of right now, there is only one map that you have to beat with no save points. It probably takes around 10 minutes, not that you could do on a first try. As you can see I have been trying to beat it for over 5 hours. In other words, you will replay the first section a lot (like 50 times at least). Somehow I am not bored of it just yet. Something about the relaxing music and the atmosphere makes the deaths less stressful.

The Ramp
VERY FUN ESPECIALLY FOR SKATERS!!!
The controls took a bit to get used to but very easy and super flow-like once you get the hang of it.
The problems i have is i wish that once you get air you could then grind upon your landing because the orange box in the skate park bowl map just looks way to tempting :)
I do really wish the creator would announce plans for updates like workshop support, new maps, tricks, custom or other characters, and bowl transitions, this would make it feel like less a tool and more of a mini-game sandbox type which it already feels like but all in all the ‘tool’ is worth the money just wish the creator would get serious.

This game does exactly what it says on the tin, and it does it pretty dang well! If you want a game to just relax and unwind to, or you’re looking for a different skateboarding experience, definitely give this a shot. For the price, it feels like a steal! Yes, it only focuses on one kind of skating and I see how that may not appeal to everyone, but what it does, it does really good. The feeling of gaining momentum or just flowing through tricks on the different ramps (there are more than 1) feels incredibly rewarding. Getting the hang of the controls doesn’t take long either. Buy it! Support awesome stuff like this!
