FINAL FANTASY V
This version does not have the additional content found in the GBA and Mobile versions, but I still think it is a great experience.
The redone music is a real treat, and the upgraded backgrounds during battles are also very nice (especially in ExDeath’s Castle after the illusion is removed).
The colors and graphics are sharp, as are the new cutscene animations (ie. crystals shattering, etc.).
Some features included in all FF Pixel Remastered editions:
►Hold down B (on a Nintendo-type controller) to run, and in this game when you learn the Thief’s Sprint ability, it makes you run even faster when you do this. Granted, I find both of these can make your character run a little too fast, and you might make mistakes in some situations. For example, when you are trying to escape Castle Karnak before it blows up while getting every treasure chest and learning Aera and Death Claw on your way out, your character might dash past turns you meant to make. Update: This was patched on Nov 24, 2021.

Sword and Fairy 7
Vast improvement compared to S&F 6. Impressive graphics, storyline is good and I love the new battle system. Bosses are challenging at higher levels and definitely requires some familiarisation of the skills to win, especially the last few. Played 2 rounds already at normal and difficult levels and gameplay was smooth. Did not experience any crashes or black screens or whatsoever. Only the bosses challenge after finishing the game is buggy. I played it in chinese, looking forward to DLCs. I do wish for an extra slot for the accessory though coz the buff they give are not really substantial but if you can stack 2 of those it’s probably more useful. Some accessories have to be worn throughout for convenience too so it’s quite troublesome to keep changing. Not my favourite chinese paladin series in terms of storyline but at least the ending seems to be a good one.

This game is great and what most open world games should aspire to be. Let me first state this game isn’t open world but are big maps that feel open world even tho most or instanced.
What they got right:
1. Trash mobs don’t just drop random stupid loot, they drop stuff u will actually need to use in crafting foods and forging ur gear.
2. It’s actually a challenge to upgrade gear and find better gear, ur aren’t just RNG handed broken crap.
3. The combat system is pretty smooth for a budget game, like better than GENSHIN IMPACT or any other similar game that’s been released in a while. Makes Darksiders look clunky.

Beyond Divinity
A good game, not a great game. You’ll read a lot about the bad voice acting (some of it’s alright, really), the difficulty (not just the combat, but staying on track for any particular quest), and how dated it is. The last one is irrelevant, because by definition every game will become dated, so this is an invalid criticism. But yes, the game has plenty of flaws. This was my introduction to the Divinity universe, and although it had its ups and downs, it was an enjoyable ride.
Like I do with every game that feels worth beating, I tried to do everything the game had to offer, including all side quests, explore everything, and genuinely give it my time and attention. This is one of the few RPGs I’ve played all the way through in the last few years for which that approach didn’t really pay off. Sometimes it did, and I discovered a big, ugly and beautiful and visually interesting world. But other times it was exhausting and aimless and felt like a time-sink. The battlefields feature of the game is unusual, and doesn’t add anything worthwhile.

I really wanted to give this game a good review, since I simply adore Larian.
This is a really funny game, and if you love environmental gags and mocking fantasy tropes then this game is going to make you laugh.
However, I really can’t recommend it.
I am currently in Act 2, and I decided to uninstall. This game is a technical nightmare.
Audio glitches are still here from DD, except, instead of being constantly jumpscared by white noise like in DD, you simply lose all SFX for a while. This pretty much forces a save and quit.

ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif
Fall of Setarrif is probably the most sorry excuse of an addon I personally have laid eyes upon. No wait, the sorriest is actually Forsaken Gods for Gothic 3, but this comes in very close.
The “addon” basically is nothing more than a 2-3hour premium priced actual ending to the absolute letdown of Arcania. While finishing the story for good, there is little to no content in this self proclaimed addon which has probably even less content than many DLC which are priced a third of the asking price. While I advise against getting Arcania in the first place, this addon should be avoided like the plague, not because it’s so terrible, it’s actually a bit better than most of Arcania, but the asking price and lack of content are outrageous. Being forced to buy this addon to be able to actually conclude the Arcania storyline is also a d*ck move from the old publisher Jowood. I don’t believe that THQ Nordic should be allowed making any profit off this either though, so do yourself a favour and steer around this.

In spite of my negative review for Arcania, my review for Arcania Fall of Setariff is positive (or at least positive enough).
My judgement probably depends on the fact that Arcania was such a huge disappointment that the small improvements that I was able to experience made this chapter partially enjoyable. Anyway…
PROs:
• At the beginning you can choose to export your old character from Arcania to this new chapter. Most of the items previously owned are available.
• The map was improved : you are still forced to follow the path without any chance of freedom during the gameplay, but, in a certain way, now this is less obvious. Furthermore, I like the fact that you need to challenge yourself with trapped/dangerous paths.

All the King’s Men
The King is kidnapped from his bed in the middle of the night without a struggle. The royal militia specifically seeks out Topher’s father for his help, citing suspicious indiscretions in his past. Leaving him with many more questions than answers, and no remaining ties to his home, Topher decides to make his way across the nation on foot to meet up with his father in the capital city and put the pieces of his life together into a full image that makes sense. Along the way, meet allies and enemies alongside Topher on his journey across the land to save his family and, in turn, the Kingdom.
On-Screen Enemy Encounters / Battle System
Never feel like you’re leaving the action of the game with a random encounter! All enemies are on-screen and battles take place right where you found the enemy on the map. The active-battle system keeps fighting dynamic and allows the you to follow the action in real time in order to best strategize your next move.
Complete Control over Stat-Growth
Instead of gaining random, arbitrary stats based on some RNG behind-the-scenes, control your own destiny and customize each play-through with your own personalized leveling board. Every play-through can be different, based on the path you take to improve your party.
Fully Original Soundtrack
A truly dynamic, original soundtrack to fully immerse you within this open world adventure. Every track in the game was created specifically, and exclusively, for All the King’s Men by idea composer, Andrew LiVecchi.
Multiple Difficulties
Choose your fate before the game begins, based on the level of challenge you desire. Standard mode still offers challenging gameplay, but you’ll have access to saving whenever you desire, simply by accessing your menu, inn and item prices will be much more easily accessible, and enemies of all types will present less of a challenge. Professional mode is not for the faint of heart. Your save access will be restricted to the save crystals throughout the map, inn and item prices will be more of a stress on your wallet, and enemy battles will require careful strategy and consideration to win.
Both modes will offer the same access to the main plot of the game and the quests related to that, though some side quests will only be found in Professional Mode.
Flexible Controls
More detailed information about controls still being confirmed.
Avalom: Ancestral Heroes
Giving a final review update after extensive time and hours playing the game..the old original first earlier impressions will be listed below the latest updated info (this will be long but should help give extensive information to people)..
Latest update after many hours playing through the game and starting more than one character as well (this should help people wondering if the game has longevity and replayability).. - So after much more time with the game I can say without a doubt this game is definitely worth the money and is very cool. The amount of game play here for less than $20 is insane and I have personally not seen any other steam indie game in this genre that is less than $20 with this much content in it. At first the full possibilities are not clear and the game may seem a little sparse because it does not have a triple A budget, but as you play the game more you will see many interesting things open up and see the uniqueness of the game world and variety and depth to the combat and character skills/builds.

As an indie game developer myself, I believe this game shows a lot of promise. It could use quite a bit of polish in regards to UI and localization but I do enjoy playing the game. As the developer keeps adding new free content I feel it is worth the price being charged for it. The animations could be as little smoother and fluid in some cases.
This is not a AAA game and they are not charging the $60 for a AAA game, so one shouldn’t expect it.

Company of Crime
Sometimes at the end of the day, when you need to talk about a game you’d recommend to someone, there are situations where you won’t say it’s a “good” game, or that it’s a particular pleasure to play, but you recommend the game because, for all its flaws and shortcomings, it has a spark. It has something that among the rest, makes it unique and enjoyable. Such is the case for Company of Crime.
A game set in London of the 60s, with a focus of gang wars and a strong influence from modern X-COMs, and to some extend Phantom Doctrine, has something to seduce. And indeed, the ambiance is there. The music, the clothes, the environnement. It’s all there. Yet, the game is, well, it’s janky. There is no hiding it, there are a bunch of bugs, some of with I had the dubious honor of helping to fix, but when you consider only 2 persons did all the QA, and the game was made by a very small team, you need to understand where you’re going. It is very much a game to get in the 15 euros or less, as that’s overall the value of such a game. It’s not big budget game, and what it delivers, I’m afraid to say, can’t possibly compete with a juggernaut like Firaxis backed by the greedy bastards at 2K(“2K, you love it, we ruin it!"). The core loop is repetitive fast, the enemies not varied, and while the heavy melee focused combat feels fresh and in some aspect reminds a bit of Into the Breach by some aspect(positioning and use of your skills to control the battlefield are key, and can lead to nice combos), at the end of the day, it won’t be something able to keep you hooked for too long, which is a bit of a shame.

Company of Crime:
Every country and indeed, city, in this beautiful world of ours has notorious individuals or gangs. Some are more famous than others. Al Capone and Lucky Luciano were probably the most notorious and known gangsters during the prohibition in America. In the 1960’s, the small and isolated island known as England had its fair share of dangerous criminals, with the Krays Twins and the Richardson brothers, to mention a couple. So, what is the business of crime? How hard is it to establish yourself and, most importantly, to keep yourself at the top of your game? On the opposite side of the coin, there are people who put their lives on the line to dismantle these organisations and arrest their members one by one. Will you become the next big mobster of the 60’s, or will you fight against them as the boss of Scotland Yard’s task force? One thing is for sure, you’ll know all about Company of Crime!

Playing this game is absolutely charming. Firstly, and probably most importantly for a genre that involves reading a lot of text, the writing is engaging, clever, and hilarious, There plenty of jokes about video game tropes, as expected in a setting that's literally a theme park based on them, but it's not the only type of gag; if it were, the experience would probably have fell flat. There's also plenty of absurd predicaments, and fun interactions between the wild cast of characters, all of whom turn out to have far more personality than I expected…yes, even the dog. Actually playing the game is quite fun too. You're mainly just a guiding role during battles, but there's a balanced level of interaction; you get to participate frequently enough to make a difference, but the AI is smart enough to not need constant hand-holding and micro-management.

Very interesting game.
Mechanics are easy - you control a character, tour guide, who every 10-12 seconds can give an order to characters that are fighting. In battle your 4 characters spend some time thinking about which of the three available skills to use (character skill, unlimited weapon skill, limited weapon skill), after they decide they charge it and execute. Battle goes in real time, but you can pause it at any moment although you can't really do anything unless your character is ready to give a command, in which case he can use an item, order single character to use a certain skill or guard or change strategy for whole team.
