Cannon Foundry Simulator

Cannon Foundry Simulator

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1403850/Mars_Colony_Builder/

  • Decide what size of cannon you want to cast (light, field, heavy or even bigger)

  • Shape its barrel (mortar, howitzer, long-barrel)

  • Choose decorations and inscriptions

  • Decide what material - (bronze, brass, iron?)

  • Cast off the cannon, keeping an eye on the melt and temperature (make no mistake because the casting will come out brittle)

  • Choose the caliber of the barrel and drill it (the thinner the walls, the larger the ball but also higher the risk of explosion of the gun)

  • Polish the finished barrel

  • Build a gun carriage for it (for ships, field, fortress, siege)

  • Test your cannon on fortresses, buildings and ships.

  • Kings and generals will want to buy cannons if they are good.

You set up a cannon foundry. You have to go through the entire process of creating an old cannon from the very beginning. Build your workshop and start production. You start with the most primitive medieval guns. But you’re still developing. You improve the workshop and discover new technologies. You build both light, field and heavy guns. After selecting the size of the gun, you set the shape of the barrel and its length. You also decide whether it will be a cannon or a mortar. Once you have made the cannon mold, you go into a risky casting process. If the casting succeeds, you can drill the barrel (the best guns had the barrel drilled only after casting!). Be careful not to overdo it with the size of the barrel in relation to the thickness of the barrel walls! Later you decide on which carriage to mount the gun. Heavy guns require a strong carriage, so their mobility will be reduced. Then test your gun - is it accurate? how is the range? does the cannonball fly flat or steep? how much gunpowder can you load (velocity of the cannonball)? how effective is it in destroying various targets?

This all affects the price your guns will get on the arms market.

This game is amazing! It is a pretty short game, and it can be beaten in only a couple of long sessions. Frankly, I couldn’t really see anybody playing this in many short sessions, as it is a very grind-y game, however, if you often find yourself having long chunks of time in your day, this game is a nice way to fill that time.

Hilarious, brutal, violent, and heartwarming. Those are the words I would use to describe this game. Mostly violent.

Lenna’s Inception

Lenna’s Inception

Lenna’s inception, now as always I’m gonna but the short for people and say you should definitely get this game, it’s a legend of Zelda parody with a lot of “heart” chuckles but seriously, it does so much with what it is and has endless fun capabilities to it with the different SEED’s you can put in for multiple different worlds and dungeons and a story that will just, like wow I wasn’t expecting it at all dood.

Still with me? cool the longer version although without spoiling too much it shouldn’t be that much longer, so what you have here is a parody of LoZ as I said already, a lot of the items and the uses of those items are either straight rips of LoZ items, joke versions of those items or an actual unique item, even down to the potions you can get they end up having a variety of effects and uses, not all good by any means but all have their uses, they even have two unique types of sword to use dood.

The game so far has been neat to explore, certainly an interesting gem to find; moreover, as the Legend of Zelda series is Nintindo exclusive, kinda locks PC gamers out of the series. Have always remembered how much fun I had playing A Link to the Past back in the day, and hope this game does well enough to inspire some more SNES Zelda style games. This game so far reminds me more of Link’s Awakening so far, as the map resembles more of that style. You do get some companions to tag along with you that is a neat spin, and while I may not get to enjoy it myself, the option for co-op gameplay which is neat. I haven’t played all that much so far, and aside from having my controller act up on me, haven’t ran into any major problems. I have noticed a bit of screen tearing when moving from one section of map to another, but it may be the fullscreen option that is causing problems. Overall it feels like jaming an old-school Zelda game, with a bit of a different story and theme to the game. Will update review at a later date, when I have had a chance to further explore the game’s content.

I had some friends over for a game night and we played bunch of absurd and idiotic games including this one. The challenge was who could get the most points overall in all those games. This is game is so ridiculous and so stupid that it got everyone laughing very hard. I have not played it since but my friends keep bringing it up as a fun memory just because of how preposterous it is. I recommend this game for the purpose of dumbassery alone, and nothing else.

Star Vikings Forever

Star Vikings Forever

Star Vikings is actually a bit like Plant vs. Zombies - but you play the Zombies not the plants. It is a reversed tower defense game, where you have to destroy the towers (slugs) to get through. You have a variety of “heroes” in your arsenal, the tank, able to withstand a lot of damage, the viking, able to throw lightning on the slugs, “angels” able to cast shields (and healing), …

Each hero can wear a hat, giving him some bonuses, like extra damage, extra energy, more hitpoints, …

It is a worthwile casual game and quite nice to play.

I love these kinds of light strategy games.

Pros:

Easy enough.

Always seems that if I don’t pay careful attention I end up hurting myself.

Feels like you have lots of options in the load out of your Vikings, and you can play it how you want to play it if you are willing to work for the hats that make your strategy work.

There’s a good amount of game, especially if you want most of the achievements.

Cons:

I seemed to have an issue if I let a Viking die in front of another Viking, the one left alive would not step past the dead Vikings last spot. Think that’s a bug.

Volt Patrol - Stealth Driving

Volt Patrol - Stealth Driving

This is a small jewel of a game! It’s challenging yet at time oddly relaxing. I love the visuals, the minimalistic designs are obviously intended as a nod to the graphics of the early arcade games of the 80’s. Also beautiful and atmospheric music. The game is short but worth the price. Support independent game creators!
