Lorn’s Lure

Lorn’s Lure

Lorn’s Lure is an atmospheric narrative first-person platformer with novel climb-anything mechanics and modernized retro 3D graphics.

Leaving his home colony while tracking a mysterious glitch, an android finds himself in the midst of a vast and dangerous structure, completely hidden from his people’s knowledge. Unable to go back, you must keep going to find out where he is being led… And why he left in the first place.

  • Dark foreboding atmosphere

  • Retro 90s PC graphics, with a modern flair.

  • Uncover mysterious lore as you travel into the depths.

  • Jump, climb, slide, and scan your way around difficult challenges, using simple mechanics.

  • No “Parkour Ledges”. Climb almost any vertical wall face using your pickaxes!

  • It’s a tough game, but not frustrating! Mistakes are not punished by redoing lengthy sections.

  • Play fast or slow. Take in the sights as you traverse, or play as fast as a speed runner.

~FUN INTENSIFIES~

An enjoyable game, I really appreciate my run! Considering it’s the developer’s first game, I must say I’m really impressed. You can feel it was made with a lot of passion and a lot of reflexion to make it nice. There are a lot of secrets so don’t rush it and take your time to discover everything!

The world is truly immersive, I was really touched by the story and I liked discovering it all along the levels. The MC is incredibly LOVELY (he’s so cuuuute when he walks!! Even when he dies. Which sadly happens often with my pitiful skills).

Simple but enjoyable atmospheric platformer. Well constructed and fun to play through - can be completed quick if you’re good, but the puzzles are fun enough to keep you engaged.

Stick Nightmare

Stick Nightmare

This is a quite good game if you love challenge (timing plataforming) and good level design. Expect to die a lot, but at the same time you’ll be learning and mastering the layout, to the point where things won’t be so hard anymore, which is a lot rewarding in the end!

I reviewed this game for Two Credits. You can see the full review, the score I gave it, and some neat screenshots from my time playing the game here: http://twocredits.co/review/stick-nightmare/

Summary:

I could have forgiven the lousy aesthetic, the repetitive music, the lack of resolution options, even the clunky control scheme. I could have forgiven all of those things to an extent if only the gameplay were good - but it’s just not. The game is definitely challenging, but not in the way that classics like Super Meat Boy or some of the older Mario games are - it’s a challenging platformer because it handles awkwardly and will repeatedly test your patience with its bugginess and condescending tone.

looks good, plays fine. the Dev is trying to make something fun here so give it a try.

Monsters AI is buggy/terrible the lake glitched for me where if I went into it the game would completely freeze couldn’t escape key or anything I tried jumping in and reopening the game 25 times, but that didn’t work. The game has no real scare factor at all. The loading screen says if nothing happens while hiding from the monster try letting him hit you so I did and it just killed me. If you pick up the perma sprint alien while your spring bar is depleted you can no longer sprint. There’s no amount of 3 percent that will make this game better the game would need to be improved 60 percent to be enjoyable.

Death Cathedral

Death Cathedral

Death Cathedral is a very challenging action RPG with tons of strategy elements.

You’ll need to build a powerful army of the living dead with enemies' flesh and bones within 15 days to kill the devil lurking in the deep end of the cathedral.

The battles in Death Cathedral contain not only realistic sword fighting, but also dashing and gorgeous skills. Parry, dodge, or roll - cope with different attacks in various ways. Observe and master your skills during combats and keep confronting stronger opponents.

A wide collection of characters:

More than 40 playable characters, each with a large number of well-designed and extremely vigorous attack actions.

Decay system:

You are controlling corpses of flesh and bones sticked together with black magic. Every exploration increases the decay of the body. The dead warrior collapses when the decay reaches 100%. The increase in decay is irreversible and you can only reduce the increase by applying “preservatives”. Be aware of the team selection ahead of every run!

Roster building:

You’ll constantly lose your warriors due to the decay process. But on the other hand, you’ll be able to create new corpses with flesh and bones of the defeated enemies. This means that you won’t be able to lay back and win easily with the same team over and over again. In order to lead the team forward, you will have to adapt to changes and achieve dynamic balance.

Resource management:

There’re all kinds of resources to accquire in Death Cathedral, which are essential for exploration. However, you can’t always have it all. You need to understand what’s really urgent and make your choices accordingly.

Unforseeable adventure:

You will encounter not only enemies but also facilities to aid you, and make you pay at the same time. Be aware not to backfire yourself by interacting in wrong scenarios.

Countless equipments:

Equipments offer not only boost to attributes, they also grant powerful specialties to your warriors. To make full use of the specialties, your lineup, enemy’s attributes, the area and many factors are under consideration. Specialties may also affect the items and facilities you use.

Immersive atmosphere:

Six distinctive areas can be explored, offering a solemn and dark medieval fantasy landscape.

Fool’s Paradise

Fool’s Paradise

Fool’s Paradise is a beautiful indie game. I liked everything about it: atmosphere, music, puzzles. I recommend buy this game. 10/10

Real player with 6.5 hrs in game

This game…. in simple words.. painful. Unfortunately i thought it would be a fun indie game to checkout but after playing it for about an hour and getting nowhere I am calling this a bust. The camera and motion controls are lacking. Interacting with objects is awful. Its makes noises like you have done something but nothing occurs. There is no clear direction and although in most games that take that approach this is a subtle suggestion on flow to the story where as this game has not flow at all. Honestly its like painful. I don’t want to crush developers but in this case it needs some TLC. Def not trying again.

NOREN

NOREN

This is not a game. This is nothing short of disappointing. There is minimal game play, absolutely no plot and it’s badly translated.

Real player with 0.3 hrs in game

Noren has the potential to be an amazing game if the devs were to put a little more attention into details that would make gameplay feel more intuitive. There are still quite a few translation issues and the fact that the inventory option is not even mentioned at all is an oversight.

I found myself literally running around in the dark with no clue. I do enjoy my share of puzzle and survival games and even the games where you have little to no chance for actual survival. However, this game feels like it is the Dark Souls of key finding games, and I do not mean that as a compliment.
