Super Life (RPG)

Super Life (RPG)

I don’t often review games, but this one deserves some credit. My favorite flash game growing up was Stick RPG 2. I went back to stick rpg a few months ago, finished it in an evening and wanted more. I have always hoped for a sequel, but that will likely never happen. But fortunately this game happened. This has a similar feel to the Stick RPG series while creating it’s own completely fresh and new product. It is absolutely filled with detail, secrets and careful design. I usually don’t like games with a prestige system, but Super Life makes it a pleasure to play multiple times. I have 3 play throughs so far and each have lead me to a different approach while finding new secrets. My first time through I thought I was getting bored until I realized that I had only scratched the surface of this deep and entertaining masterpiece. This game plays much like a tycoon game as you grind from living with your dad and going to elementary school to getting your Doctorate and buying multiple mansions while solving mysteries and becoming a near deity in the process. I started for a fresh take on a well beloved childhood flash game but found something that goes well beyond what I could have envisioned at that age. I play few games in recent years due to time constraints, personal responsibilities and blah blah blah but due to recent shutdowns this has been a glorious time sink. This game has no micro transactions to try and suck your soul through your wallet which is much appreciated in a game with two currency types. At the time of writing I have 65 hours played and though I have accomplished as much as I know to due through the help of the discord server and Youtube guides, the developer has been very proactive in his updates and detailed patch notes to always give hope towards new possible content. I paid full price for this when I first saw it, only to later see it on sale but I’m hear to say that I have no regrets and am more than happy to support a developer who puts so much effort into their art. This is a simple game on the surface but is filled with secrets. It is very bold to make an indy game with the purpose of intentionally hiding content from the player. Super Life always ensures a pay off for the hunt that is worth every minute of searching. This game is a joy if you can read in between the lines and start to know what to look for in everything. I will patiently wait for future updates from the developer for Super Life or any other projects that make be coming. Thanks for a good time.

Note: VERY grind heavy and extremely long. Both of these traits lack their normal irritation factor, as they are the primary focus of the game, but they are very much still there. If you like that sort of thing, it’s great. If you don’t, look elsewhere. This is also one of those games that is near to impossible without a walkthrough, and I would not suggest playing entirely without one. The prestige mechanic is heavily emphasized (though not technically required) and I suggest you use it if you can. It can be a bit finicky, but will heavily decrease the amount of grinding (specifically of the boring, tedious variety that stops your progress) that you have to do.

The Sims™ 3

As much as I love this game for nostalgic reasons, I can’t recommend getting it on Steam if you get it at all.

EA seems committed to screwing over Steam players, like they didn’t put it for sale on Steam in the first place. They don’t offer patches for the Steam version anymore, which means that unless you jerry-rig your installation to use an aftermarket patch, you can’t use any content you PAID FOR on the Sims 3 Exchange.

This game is hands down the best game there is. I recommend it 100%. It has so many details and so many things you can do. This game is a blast and is my favorite sims game. This is totally worth purchasing. The base game it’s self has so many things to do, and it is so much fun.

If you liked papers please you’re gonna love this game. Its the same concept of looking at papers and deciding whether they should pass, but as difficult as papers please was. (sorry my review will contain a lot of comparisons with papers please) Instead of working at one place you will work in many beautiful and interesting stations each with an interesting manager/boss. Each station will have different working requirements, some have 3 lines you will have to watch and let people through from and from as much as i’ve played you can get up to 4 sheets to check which creates a really hard game, and you will even have to check things like contraband and dress code. The game will guilt you into letting people in, you will also be bribed, there’s a resistance you could support and you can sell drugs/candy (still not sure) for extra cash.

Survive a oppressive world in this enjoyable Papers, Please-esque

Developed by PanicBarn, Not Tonight took place in an alternate history; a Post-Brexit United Kingdom specifically where citizens that are of European heritage (known as Euros) are constantly being oppressed by the government. You play as citizen #112, another ‘filthy Euro’ just waiting to be deported to your original country. Your goal is simple: avoid your inevitable fate, any means necessary.

Gameplay

As mentioned before, the game overall structure is similar to the much more well-known Papers, Please. In other words, a lot of micromanagement gameplay. As #112, you’ll be working as a bouncer for a multitude of different locales, ranging from nightclubs to drinking pubs to the London Wall itself. Your job is to supervise the entrance and decide whether the customers are allowed to enter or not. Or whether they deserved it or not.

While this game is getting overhaul I must mention I play steam game “Coronation”.

Game is already interesting and immersive, its gorgeous that you can actually use toilet paper, flush the toilet, buy a bed and sleep better, make your clothes smell, sweat and need to clean them, need to eat and drink, work as a waiter, having a shower (the water effect and transition the sounds changes as you pass through it is is charming ), install appliances and plugging them into wall plugs, rest on ground being tired, not sleepy, install an alarm clock, If you are tired you cant run., this is the most promising thing I saw in long time. Visit beach, use a cart in a shopping mall.

It has potential to be a really good simulator, but it has its flaws. For instance, the FPS in John’s Diner can tank a lot and the mop gets stuck in my hand every now and then. Forcing me to save the game, quit it and reload it. Other minor bugs are the floating objects that can be seen around the map where AI once were. The game has a ton of customization options though for the apartment you’re given at the start. I just wish we could purchase a laptop, phone, or computer to purchase items online. Instead of having to walk all the way back and forth between the stores. Another thing that would be neat to see in game is some police, even if it’s just an AI cop car driving around. At least it’ll give it that more lively feel. If you are going to get this game, expect it to be annoying for the time being. Hopefully these bugs will be flushed out soon. I do recommend it though for those who like to customize things a lot, just choose Creative Mode for that.

(Detailed review. Will be updated as necessary. Patch 0.5.4)

I wanted to give myself adequate time thoroughly testing and playing this game before reviewing it. With over 100 hours put into testing this game, I’ve written this review taking all things into consideration with a neutral stance.

Between recommending this game or not, I conceded to recommend it. However, there are some factors each person should consider before purchasing the game in it’s current stage and that ultimately comes down to your personal preference, there is no “one size fits all”.

I bought this game a few years ago since I really enjoyed The Guild 2. It was bare bones back then and not comparable to The Guild 2, which made me not play it for a long time. I started playing it again recently with the newest update to check the game’s progress and now I’m hooked. Exact same thing happened when I first discovered The Guild 2. I feel like The Guild 3 is now an improvement and proper successor to The Guild 2, as it should be. The development of this game has been extremely slow since it was released in Early Access, which may upset some people who want to see more progression in development. I understand some of the frustration but The Guild franchise is more of a niche type of game and fan base that it will never be extremely popular. They have steadily been updating this game over multiple years and it has improved immensely. The game is still unfinished and I’ve encountered some bugs but nothing too serious. The game has been very stable for me and I have not experienced any crashes. Graphics are not great by any means but a massive improvement from Guild 2 and offers some high quality textures and many more armor and clothing items. Overall there is a lot more items than in the Guild 2.

Before this object can function again, there’s a lot of work to be done. With a set of various tools and your friend Amelia helping you out, you might be able to make it. Airport Renovator Prologue is an excellent introduction to the simulator game, where you start small and finish with a giant.

Get to work

Your toolset includes an axe, an air-blower, a grass trimmer, a power washer, and more! With the dynamic in-game environment, you’ll always have your hands full. There’s nothing more satisfying than blowing sand off the airfield before a plane touches down.

Airdrops

Friendly pilot Amelia will be dropping loot crates for you once in a while. Smash them with your axe, and don’t hesitate to use whatever you find inside. It can be anything from tools, airport equipment items to surprises that you surely won’t expect.

Plan and equip

You’re starting with a small airport and, if you run things well, you will finish with a massive, international one! Plan out where you’re going to place the airport items you’ve received and see the business thrive.

Fight against the forces of nature

This place has been abandoned for years, and nature has taken over. It’s up to you to fight against the overgrown vegetation in constantly changing weather conditions.

Bakery Magnate: Beginning

Bakery Magnate: Beginning

It’s a fun game and I played it for a good 5 hours non-stop. There are a few issues with it that make longer playthroughs a bit of a chore. The main problem is that produce goes bad too fast, making inventory management an eternal race against the clock and a bit of a nightmare. Second issue is once you start producing your own bread and taking orders, there is no way to automate transfer of items from the breadmakers to the trucks for deliveries meaning you have to do everything manually, item by item. For the price (free), I think it’s worth trying out, just not sure about replayability.

This was really good actually, the dialogue was pretty good, liked light hearted stuff a lot, and the darker stuff was good too. Definitely worth $0.99 to say the least. The game takes 2 hours for that price fyi, not bad at all.

Real player with 2.0 hrs in game

The game is just so horrible that I will not even play if the developer pays me to do so.

1. The story is just so stupid and stupid long, 75% story time and minimum play time.

2. Stupid long story time is not bad enough, they even trying to give you stupid dumb story. The ending is just, “What happened ?”

3. This “thing” costs RM15.5 … Just how did they priced this “Thing”

4. Lousy gameplay as you only need to apply what you learnt twice…Literally

Bought this game as the developer’s first game is amazing…But this….Just don’t buy it

Behind Glass: Aquarium Simulator

I needed to check this out and even join Steam to do so! Impressive graphics, complex behaviour modelling of fish. This is early access – there are not hundreds of items and creatures yet, but they will come if the developers fulfil their announcements.

Would be great to have social features to show off your tanks.

In summary: this appears to be the most impressive aquascaping tool to date.

If you’re anything like me, this is the aquarium sim you’ve been looking for! The aquascapes are easy and fun to build, the graphics are lovely, and the fish are so cute & lively! They chase each other & nibble on things in the tank. It’s so fun & peaceful to watch. If you’re looking for a casual game to build tanks and admire your virtual fish, this game is for you!

I’m only writing this review to spread a little light on the situation, and I only recommend this game to fish tank enthusiasts.

The game did have a semi-long break without updates but they are still coming through. The game still does have some problems but in my honest opinion, they’re slowly being addressed.

This game is an aquarium SIMULATOR - focusing more on realism and less on fun - so if you haven’t already got an interest in tropical, freshwater or marine tanks irl then you may want to keep scrolling the store page.
