Quite faithful to the gba game (itself being a port of the psx game)
But i think its a missed opportunity to include many features that are done better in the psx game. eg. No greenhouse, no fish breeding, no rival marriage, no farm evaluation.

Biggest complaint is that the AI “helpers” are as smart as a damn lobotomized rat. They get stuck on everything, miss spots constantly and charge AAA rates for the work of the local crayon eating window licker. I pray they did somehting for 22

Lately I’ve been really keen on games that let you customize and open - world decisions. Games that you aren’t restricted to a set path. I bought FS17 on a whim when it was on sale and fell in love with it - to my own surprise.
-
I’ve always been a community organizer and so knew that this game is far better when played with other people. Sure I’m a nerd because I game so much, and play D&D, but it blew me away how much I enjoyed FS17. Not something I ever thought I’d like. I think what pulled me in is the fact that it isn’t scripted. There is no “What should i do next” hand holding. It’s an open-ended relaxing game where you get to drive big awesome machines. At my prime I was spending every evening playing FS17 when running the server for several hours. When the server was very popular I would easily spend 3-4 hours a night playing. Much longer on the weekends.

Not even sure where to start man. I got this game because I’m a sim player and the graphics looked nice, and it was on sale. I’m in LA, so the last thing going on around me is farming, unless you’re farming weed. This game, and it’s modders, BLEW MY MIND.
You do the first two tutorials to get the gist of the controls and the basics of farming. And it’s the basics, I’m 140+ hours in and all I’ve done is work the fields on the first map. No animals, I cut down a half dozen trees by chainsaw around my silos that were pissing me off because I kept ramming them, no chaff, hay, manure, blah blah blah, just joyously working the fields, learning where everything is, and buying shit (the lower three fields and better equipment so far). To say this game is addicting, even to a city dude with zero ties or previous interest in farming, is a gross understatement. Just playing the basics, you realize the layers of this game just go on and on, and how each crop (and animals when you get them) interweaves with different functions of your farm, and each other, is one of the coolest applications of resource management I’ve seen, and I’ve got probably 50 RM games.

Farming Simulator 2013 Titanium Edition
At the time of writing I am in at 1200+ hrs. The extraordinary thing is the title is a bland, no bells and whistles sim.
So what’s the attraction?
Initially, starting with 1 paddock on the stock map and a small amount of equipment provides an impetus to do what farmers do. Plant, reap, sell, expand. But it doesn’t take long to learn the quirks and the cash points so “expansion” and accummulation of wealth becomes kinda pointless soon enough.
The scenery can be special, the fields and textures quite mundane. Equipment modelling is very nice. The AI can be quite stupid at times (but I couldn’t imagine playing this without them) and it’s got a definite farm feel. On it’s own, it might get 300-400 hours to dedicated tycoon-sim fan.

Now that the new Farming Simulator 15 has come out, its high time to write down my personal thoughts of 2013 Titanium.
This is a game sim about running a modern farm. You get 2 maps to start with, Hagenstedt and Westbridge Hills. The game started off with Hagenstedt, but more content and Westbridge Hills was added later in the Titanium upgrade.
So what do you do at your farm?
You grow crops, manage ure animals and do missions to put it simply.
The crops that you can grow are: Wheat, Barley, Canola, Sugar Beets and Potatoes.

Farming Simulator 2011
Highly detailed, great fun and hyper realistic farm equipment sim, plant growth is way faster than rw but this makes it great for gameplay. Would be good if settings on crop growth and realisum could be changed but this should be available in upcomming patches. Best part of the sim is the equipment detail, and all the mods and even more detailed equipment available from the OEM.s and forums, And lets face it we should not want to harvest crop for 24 hours on end in rt its all about checking out all the diff types of equipment for 30 to 45 min each, which this sim does amazingly well.

Farming Simulator 2011 to kolejna część popularnej serii symulatorów farmy z detalami odtwarzających najdrobniejsze szczegóły rolniczego rzemiosła. Gra miała premiere 18 pażdziernika 2010. W porównaniu do poprzedniej części

Pumpkin Days
UPDATE at 852 hours of Play:
The game is no longer early access, and I’m still enjoying it. It’s complete with dating and marriage implemented for the three main towns and the small island community. Harvesting has been improved and mass planting is now available. Crafting, cooking, farming, fishing and bug-hunting are all complete and included, and the museum is fully completable. I’ve spent hours exploring the different paths you can take to defeating the main enemy of the island’s happiness and environment, and getting to know the NPCs - and I know I have many more hours yet to go. I still recommend this game :-)

I’m always lazy to write reviews, and frankly after gamers started caring more about eye candies and online multiplayer than old fashioned content and game humor (to… you know… entertain… rather than walk around the world looking for possible ant animations on the grass…) I have a really hard time finding a game that doesn’t bore me after the 10th enemy is down. So it really is something when I decide to use my precious time on a game review… or any review for that matter.
It saddens me to read so many bad reviews on this game, and so I feel the need to do something about it. Issue 1: the controls… I am aware that there are many people in the world with disabilities that might prevent them from enjoying the chosen base controls or even require a whole different option. My opinion is not meant to diminish their needs. However, from my perspective, a regular person with no such restrictions should be more than able to handle these controls. I have absolutely no issue with them! Certainly at first it wasn’t perfect, but recently a sensitivity slider has been added that worked wonders for me and I no longer have a single thing to complain about it. Also, the devs are working hard to provide another option for those who do need it.

Alchemy Story
I was a backer for this game early on, I had high hopes for it back then and if anything my hopes for it now are even higher. Yes it’s early access, so as such it has some minor bugs/glitches and in the beginning you may find yourself wandering aimlessly. But this game is pure relaxation.. and really, isn’t that why most people purchase and play these sorts of games? The art is charming and beyond cute. The characters so far show promise in terms of personality. There’s a lot of things to do, upgrade, brew and purchase considering how early on in development this game still is.

So far I find this game constantly trying to kill me with its overabundance of cuteness. If I had to describe this game, it would be the Arcane magic version of My Time at Portia (Magic instead of Engineering), with the small town aesthetic of Stardew Valley, with a super cute Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing art style. As the game is in early access, this review may not always be up to date, but I’ll update when needed for new viewers.
Pros:
The inventory system is pretty easy to get used to and best of all no limits to weight or stack, to my knowledge

Lawn Mowing Simulator
This game is utterly satisfying. It must be good if I have over 70 ours on it. Snowing here in Michigan, so I can’t mow like I want to. LMS scratches that itch perfectly!

Farmer’s Dynasty
(EDIT Nov. 28,2019) Well, the game has come to full release for steam! And its pretty close to what I had imagined it would be. Keeping the charm of Redberry while adding to the world around us. The game delivers us the life and farming experience of a small town. There is plenty to do around Redberry. Think you’ll spend all of your time in the field? You’d be wrong. Take a break form the tractor. Grab a coffee. Go fishing. Help a neighbor. Find a wife! Fix a building. Drone racing. And so much more. If you are on steam, there is so much to do, you will get lost for hours. Enjoy and happy farming!

Let’s get this out of the way first. If you want an actual farming simulator, with tons of different brands of machines and implements, ultra realistic soil mechanics, dynamic economy etc. this isn’t it. At first glance, it might look very similar to other farming simulators, and the core mechanics (plow, cultivate, fertilize, sow, harvest) are of course there. However, if you approach it as purely a farming simulator, you will get disappointed and bored due to the shallowness of this aspect of the game.

Pure Farming 2018
Greetings fellow gamers…
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!
Now that I have your attention, let’s get to the why..
The primary reason I am no longer an advocate of this product is that back around April 25th, update 1.1.5 was released. This update fixed a few bugs, mostly changed some features. But they broke what I consider a intregal part of the game. You could no longer sell bails. Several consumers reported it within hours of the release. About 21 hours ago a representative of IceFlames finally acknowledged this issue and stated “It will be fixed in the next patch or sooner”.

I started off absolutely fucking hating this game. I literally had to do everything, step for step, that a farmer would in real life in order to farm. Yes, sure, the hint is in the game’s name, but still - I wasn’t prepared for just how freaking much it would require from me, probably because I’ve never played a Farming Simulator-type game before.
Playing the Story Mode (the mode this review is based on, there are others) meant ploughing, sowing, fertilising, and irrigating fields, and then waiting, and then harvesting. There’s a lot of driving up and down fields, and to and from various locations around the map to fetch stuff, deliver stuff, buy stuff.
