BeamNG.drive
With almost 2k hours in this game you can tell I enjoy it. But this newest update has been more annoying than anything. Im not a huge fan of this new hud, and every time I start the game it keeps resetting my keybinds and I spend more time fixing that than actually playing. There has also been bugs with this new ui where I cant open up the radial menu and it freezes every time I try to change or spawn in a vehicle.

I used to love BeamNG but unfortunately recent updates have made this game unplayable for me.
Especially after the last big update wich gave us a completely new menu system.
-Incredibely long load times
-Tons of menu glitches
-UI apps not working
-Every time I start the game I have to adjust the graphic settings
-Scenarios don’t load properly again if you fail
-In general laggy/stuttering
I play on a good system, (3900x, 2080super, pcie gen4 SSD)
so I don’t think it’s anything hardware performance related.

The Bus
Review of the release version
Not perfect yet, but you shouldn’t expect that as it’s still in the early state of Early Access.
Generally I really do enjoy this new City Bus Simulator.
What you are getting right now is the TXL line, a 1:1 scale recreation of that part of Berlin, the Scania Citywide in two variants, and some in Game line editors.
Doesn’t sound like much, but the main key is that lots of new things are going to be added during this Early Access, especially looking forward to the Map Modding Tools.

As a community, we are giving constructive feedback to the developers. And they don’t seem to know or listen about the physics. This game should not be called a simulator. Because the only game that should be called that way is OMSI 2. As for now, the game should work a lot on the driving physics, before it can be a joy for me as an OMSI driver, to enjoy this game. For now I would only recommend this game to Euro truck and American truck driver. I also used to play euro truck simulator 2, and since I play OMSI 2, I can tell what a simulator is and what not when looking at the physics. I’ve also raced a lot in Rfactor and other simulation games. Based on this experience I can tell this game is not a simulator. It is more like a Berlin sight seeing game for now. I hope this review helps you to decide to buy the game or not.

City Car Driving
Very nice and relaxing driving game even though it’s on the older side of things. Better to play if you have a steering wheel/controller.

I was initially impressed by this game but the lack of the ability to have UK road rules and signs is disappointing. I also cannot pass the road test for the life of me. Constantly fail because speed limit says 60 but fails me when i go over 50kmph, and cant get past the second roundabout due to driving on “forbidden lanes” when exiting. I have since seen youtube videos where the drivers do EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING and manage to get past the roundabout. 0/10 until i can actually progress through the game and some decent content is added. To add insult to injury i must’ve bought it for 20 quid 2 days before it went on sale and now its only 2.

Autobahn Police Simulator
I just wanted a police sim. I mean, there are a couple coming out this year that look really good, but I just really wanted to play one. Sure, it’s got some “mixed” reviews, but Steam can be a little harsh. And I don’t want the shoot-em-up sort of police sim; I want something that celebrates the mundane tasks of the traffic cop. It sounded like a winner.
No. I hate this game. I thought it was maybe that I had to get used to it but, no: listen to the reviews, this game sucks.
Other reviews seem to talk about the driving mechanics, and that is by far the worst thing in this game. Driving is so difficult that the developers obviously knew it, and though there is a damage meter for your car, it actually goes back down if you don’t hit anything for a few seconds.

Well i spent over a week deliberating this one, in light of the mixed reviews. I ended up watching video reviews online to help me make up my mind.
I’m glad I bought this game. I prefer sims over any other genre, and I always thought a highway police sim would be cool.
Personally, I really can’t understand why there’s so many negative reviews. I guess a lot of them were written prior to the updates/patches, which appear to have corrected most of the bugs and glitches. It’s really not a bad game at all if you’re into simulators. And i think this is where most people make the mistake of reviewing it like a regular game instead of a sim.

18 Wheels of Steel: Convoy
I used to have it back in the day, couldn’t figure out how it worked as a kid. Since I have it now I can imagine why. The game is missing a lot of features, like pressing a F key for the side mirrors, indicaters that you don’t notice in first person mode, the truck feels like slowmotion driving. Only fun thing is that the NPC truckers honk at you as a greeting. Google describes it as the worst of the franchise, and trust me, it is!

Got mixed feeling about this one. The previous game Across America was fun, nice drive through the map. The map though was too small for my liking, I am glad that Convoy has a larger map, but not so keen on not being able to save on a job…which sucks because if real life gets in the way (And it does) you’ve just wasted that recreational time and may as well not have played at all. Good, your finite life wasted. I hate restrictive saves like that.
Also the graphics look odd, driving is O.K and the scenery looks nice but the cities all look like cartoon town, look like they are from a totally different game….they are not made from the right assets at all. The rain also doesn’t clear from the window when the wipers are on. You can’t see your indicators on the dashboard either. The lowest and highest parts of the map are cut off. The button that toggles the map on and off, doesn’t toggle off. Too many lorries honking at me. And I have never once driven in an actual convoy…..

18 Wheels of Steel: Hard Truck
The first video game I have ever played at around age 3 or 4. Never understood the objective before the disc broke. A couple months ago I find it here, and the feeling of progressing further than ever before in a game you haven’t played in roughly 14 years is exhilarating.

18 Wheels of Steel: Haulin’
This is a good game if you have an older pc that can’t run the latest games and you want to practice backing a tractor trailer. The physics of the trailer behaves like in real like when you are backing it. Some truck yards even have alleys you can back into if you want. The only problem is this game doesn’t have a clutch option (although it has manual shifting) so the air brakes loses too much air when you are practicing backing and use the brakes a lot, (fortunately it doesn’t lock like in real life). I like the F2 mirror option popup that thats lets you look without moving the mouse very helpful for backing, and driving. The forward driving part is okay but it doesn’t feel like a real big rig, is kinda its almost halfway there, but there is something missing when it come to feeling like real semi. But its an older game so you can’t fault it too much, for what it is its pretty good. Although the hanlding of the turning does behave like a tactor trailer and you don’t want to jump those curbs or take out light post when makin a tight right turn. And the jake brake sounds decently good. The map is real big and the scenery is decently nice for an older game. There are plenty of delivery option and trailers and trucks to choose from.

18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal
This is my favorite 18 WOS installment. This game hooked me from day one when I purchased in 2005. This game instilled a love of trucking in my little grade-school self that built me into the real life truck driver that i am today.
Lets go over the good and bad of 18 WOS PTTM.
Pros:
-
The gameplay is fantastic. Picking up loads and delivering them to the correct locations is easy and straight forward. No tutorial required, just go from point A to point B.
-
The progression system in this game is my favorite of all the 18 WOS games. It features income based progression in the beginning, building to a prestige system later on allowing you to unlock more cargo and more highly valued routes.

The game is well worth it full and on discount both, its the favorite from the series, for multiple reasons, though I only had full version of this when I was a child beside the Hard Truck 18 Wheels of Steel
I recommend it to anyone who is into the genre or wants to try the genre out, gives a different experience than ATS and other newer SCS titles, 10/10 for me, fully and wholeheartedly recommanded

Big City Rigs: Bus Driver
For $3, hard to complain much. But game gives you no guidance. You go out on a route, no idea where you are supposed to turn in the city, so you end up wheer you “cant continue here” and you end up late, and it cancels the ride. Real fun! Also cars seem to run into you for no apparent reason. Also no rear view mirror. All in all, lacking quite a bit, even for 3 bux. lol
– Real player with 1.2 hrs in game
Okay where to start, I got this in the sale and its not worth £3 and before you think it yes I know thats cheap so why complain, its really glitchy, I completed 4 out of 13 successfully, not because I suck but because every time it would load with a car stuck inside the bus and you cannot move. The only choice you have is to cancel the mission. The road is FAR too small for the bus which makes it hard to turn around the corner which is worsened when you have a bus stop right beside traffic lights and you need to turn right. The game also glitches with the traffic lights if you back end in still in when its amber it fines you and says you have run a red light. Its hard to go faster around the corners right beside the lights due to narrow. I have also had it when I have pulled up at a red light. It says I cut the light but was no where near. Another bad thing is the camera, urk! when you pull up to a stop if flips around so now you see the bus from the side, this is so you can see the passengers go in (will explain glitch on this too) problem is once you have shut the doors the camera spins but not at correct angle. If you move the camera yourself so you can drive off straight it spins again side to side as if the game doesn’t understand you have moved it. Both versions if you leave it or correct it will make you hit property and again be fined. The camera has also got a tendency to flip so you are looking at and angled side and you cannot drive straight and again hit things. Passengers glitch, when they go inside they stand but you can hear a cash kaching noise when they have paid. This sort of indicates that the NPC has now finished it action and you can close the doors. How WRONG! I have killed three people and I’m currently hiding behind my sofa waiting for the po po to break down my door and have me on murder charges. I have even waiting after the noise to see if they move or sit and they do not and still they die (my story I am sticking to it lol). The game seems to have a lot of spacial recognition problems. This tends to fine, break, kill or glitch with stuck car spawns the game, it does the same with the stops, they’re a white border which glows (like a seven shape) you fit in this by lining up you nose with the line. Doesn’t work well, sometimes you will be over or under or miles away. You do know your route, if you press M you will get a map up which has a highlighted green path for you and dots which show your stops the next stop ahead is red. The game is a good concept and I won’t deny I’m a bit let down as I was looking forward to playing this and having some fun but its really ropy for me and the glitch (mostly the car, made me think is it two transformers getting it on the way they are stuck together) drives me crazy. My advice, I’d avoid and look for another version .
