Cooking Witch
If you’ve ever wanted the witch from Hansel and Gretel to get revenge, now’s your chance!
It’s not very often that I achieve every achievement that a game has in the first sitting. As much as I would like to its almost impossible. However, when I sat down to play VaragtP’s new release, Cooking Witch, I soon found myself hooked on its simplistic yet addictive gameplay.
The premise of the game is simple. You play the role of a witch. There’s a party going down in the woods. Your objective is to abduct children from said party and to drop them into your nearby cauldron. When you do so you get their meat to eat as well as hearts (health) and stars. It’s as straightforward as it sounds.

Aircraft Evolution
Control a plane that flies towards your pointer, drops bombs and fires missiles so you can wipe out hordes of enemies.
Its a close one here, the controls work fine, its quite neat getting new planes and upgrading them, and the variety of bombs and missions is pretty solid.
but it feels a lot like a mobile game that had microtransactions and wasnt balanced quite correctly when it was ported back to PC. Things go at a fair clip through the first part of the game, but around chapter 2 the difficulty ramps up faster than your money does and you end up in a sort of grind, particularly because even with the best plane in the game your bombs never do that much damage and there are a lot of enemies.

Aircraft Evolution is a casual indie sidescrolling shooter that follows in the footsteps of the 1987 classic Wings of Fury. In my opinion fans of WOF game most likely wont be disapointed acquiring Aircraft Evolution as it does a great job at it. The gameplay of Aircraft Evolution is pretty much about bombing the living hell out of the enemies of differnt eras of the history of airplanes and fending off attacking airplanes in different missions while upgrading and buying new planes. In the current early access build the plane is controlled with the mouse and 3 keyboard keys (z,repair -x,fuel-space,speed) and its rather simple to master. The graphics are hand-drawn and really nice to behold. I bought the game for 3.99 euros and feel i got great value for the money. I’ll rate the game 8/10.

AirGun
AirGun is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from serial copy+paste infringers, ImperiumGame. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio store, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else’s work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception. It’s nothing but a cash grab.
This time they’ve ripped off a basic template for a 2D retro arcade/SpaceWar game, and slapped some airplane models on it (or the game template came with them, who knows how deep ImperiumGame’s moral bankruptcy goes). GameMaker Studio itself is a terrible game construction kit, and this asset flip shows just how bad things can get when templates/tutorials/demos from that construction kit get dumped on Steam as complete games.

FratPart is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template from GameMaker Studio, changing a few things, then dumping the barely functional “product” on Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. In this case it was a GameMaker Studio template for doing a simple 2D retro pixel “endless jumper” one button jumping game where you jump across the screen, changing direction when you hit the side, collecting stuff and avoiding obstacles on the way up.
GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and results in terrible games like this one.

Gimel Dimension
I bought this game with good hopes.
But sad to say, it was worse than I had expected. Sure the game is 0.79 cents, but that does not mean a game has to be bad.
The game has certainly some pros and cons.
The pros being that:
-
Playing with your mouse enhances movement big time, and a love that aspect.
-
The music is a 10/10.
-
The overall thought of design is cool: nice shapes etc.
Cons:
-
The graphics are so bad, that you can’t really see any of the bullets you are shooting.
-
9/10 times you cannot see what bullets are coming towards you, because the bullets or enemies match the background 100%.

Miner Gun Builder
I enjoy being able to have a second account on my PC to really get to go through the entire early game, it’s pretty fun especially since I know basically all the tips and tricks beforehand lol. But to newcomers, this game can be very confusing with descriptions in some places or some things may not entirely make sense so I HIGHLY recommend joining the Discord server to be able to ask any questions to us (I am Fwuffy Doge). :3

Works as advertised - a surprisingly deep and fun game to just run on the side while doing other stuff. And then you get a new ship and you don’t even realize it took your full attention for an hour. So many details to optimize:
-Raw Damage
-Number of projectiles
-Bullet trajectory
-AOE
-Piercing
-Bouncing
-Critical chance
-More I’m forgetting
And that’s on top of the maze you have to create in each ship to get from the projectile generator over to the gun points. Good stuff.
Admittedly, the UI definitely needs some work. The game itself is almost a puzzle that you unlock as well as you get further, the captains, the endless missions, the random new weapon slot you forgot you can unlock by scrolling down more.

NOMAD
The store page should be much clearer about this not actually being the ZX Spectrum game running in an emulator, but a remake running in the Unity engine.
It’s playable enough, but not an accurate depiction of what it originally looked or played like, despite reusing the Spectrum graphics.
What you’ll instantly notice for example is that while the game uses classic low res pixel graphics, the physics and movement don’t adhere to the ‘resolution’ of these graphics. You’ll see your ship move smoothly between pixels, which of course results in the pixels of the ship and the backgrounds not lining up to the same grid, making it kinda hard to look at.

Space Crisis
I picked up all 12 of these Nacks Soft games. They are essentially just sprite swaps, so either wait for a 90% sale or pick up the bundle if it’s less than $10 so you are getting the content equivalent of a decently sized full game.
The difficulty curve of this one isn’t as well-designed as Accel Magician Mimi and it’s missing the 1P vs. 2P mode. It’s space-themed though. It’s a very soft recommend – a C-range, middling game.
Pick up if under $1 or if you get all 12 games for under $10.

I had fun with it. The hitbox of the pinetrees in level 3 is trash though.

Welp, it has kind of cute graphics. Don’t know if they’re original or assets…
…and that’s the only nice thing that I can say about this game. Aargh.
The music is a little loop that becomes irritating after 1.5 minutes. There are three levels, and they’re all exactly the same except for the fact that the graphics change up. And each of these levels goes on entirely too long because…
…the gameplay is absolutely freaking boring. You do the exact same thing through each entire level (which means you do exactly the same thing throughout the entire game because the levels are all the same). There is no RNG-based play. This is, literally, how each level will go:
