HUNTERS FOR YOUR BRAIN

HUNTERS FOR YOUR BRAIN

You know what, Its not too bad. Sure its a little broken and is very unpolished, Its quite a charming little game. Please buy during a sale and look at this game, which seems to be a game designers first attempt to an action game.

Thank you for reading

This was awful. In every sense of the word. Your attacks only hit on the crosshair, but you can NOT move the crosshair on its own; you only move it by moving yourself. So when you get ambushed on both sides, you have to back into enemies from one side to hit enemies on the other side. Alternatively, you can expand your FOV to max where your shotgun now functions as a sniper rifle. Snipe the human enemies, jump over the zombies and this suddenly only takes 2 minutes to finish. Far as I can tell, you just restart from the start of the level when you reach the end with nothing changing. The AI seems to stop working once you get near the end too. The worst twin stick/top-down shooter I’ve ever seen.

Cube Defense

Great little time killer, bought it while I was reinstalling Fallout 4. A few bugs as mentioned, enemies freeze when you’re close to trees, but even if you avoid trees it’s not a difficult game. Hopefully there will be more added to it, achievements, multiplayer and a level editor, specifically.

A short, fun, beautiful and touching little game. Worth the full price! A truly engaging story with multiple endings.

Zombie TD + Interactive - short = Not your typical TD game but is pretty fun. Several story routes depending on your answers. I prefer the shootout mode vs story. Would be great if the game was longer.

Bloody Walls

Bloody Walls

An extremely basic game, Bloody Walls is a 2D action game which combines simple gameplay with Game Boy or NES style pixel graphics.

Bloody Walls is very simplistic – you control a man with a gun. He has some antidotes on him. Each antidote keeps him safe for 60 seconds, and they automatically are used as the last one expires.

You start out on the first of ten floors, where there are five mission-givers and a store – a store at which you can exchange antidotes for guns and mines. There are two guns other than the starting one – a SMG with slightly worse range but much better damage, and a shotgun with vastly worse range but massively more damage (and a slow reload speed). Mines can simply be deployed by clicking on them or pressing 3 or 4 (whichever slot they are loaded into), which causes them to be deployed at your feet. You can’t run over them, but your enemies can.

So…a review for Bloody Walls, eh?

Essentially, it’s a roguelike title about destroying zombie mutants by manually targeting the enemies' heads with your mouse and firing by clicking, sounds simple enough, right? Well, during the whole game you’re given only 1 hitpoint. Get touched, it’s over.

There are 3 weapons and 2 kinds of mines in the game. You also have money that expires (there’s a counter that tells you when you’re about to lose one unit of currency), so you need to puchase a little strategically.

I thought I had already written a review for this game..

Anyways, it starts quite bad. Xxz isn’t the most beautiful title one can think of, and it doesn’t explain nothing.

The game consists of a completely stupid match-3 basic grid and the rest yeah, it goes along the game hashtags: zombie, nudity, sexual content..

Needless to say, graphics are completely awful, not to talk about the soundtrack and effects.

For what concerns the actual gameplay, I had to refer to a great guide you can find here on Steam written by Maestro for a simple reason: the game doesn’t give you a proper tutorial, but rather uses some arrows thinking that you will get magically to know everything.

“It’s necrophilia!!!” Who cares?!

Yeah…I said it. People complain that this game is about people who get hardons about dead or undead girls…big whoop. I have a frankengirl OC and she’s bae!

XXZ (made by the developer of DED and Bloody Walls) is a basic match-3 puzzle game that implements battle and strategy between your 3 units and enemy units, which is an interesting concept, but lacks on the execution. It has some nice eye candy and each level rewards you for completing your battle against these Zom-baes with some often lewd pics…except for a few times where you don’t get an image…which is rather disappointing.

I think the game is in an ‘ok’ level.

However, I also think the game could become better if the folks from L. Stotch could make the game a little easier to play.

Other things I could possibly suggest for improvement and/or to make it more interesting would be:

  • To add some writing to the game’s instructions. Because, images alone may not be enough for the players to understand how the game is played;

  • To give the game a story mode with animated cutscenes. Since there’s two playable groups of three, I suppose each of them would have their own adventure, obstacles to avoid or overcome, and zombies to beat. Also, speaking of a story mode, it could show how the infection began, and the first few people who had fallen to it. By the way, L. Stotch could animate the cutscenes in the same way as they did to the game’s trailer, or they could make it in comic book style. With speech and thought ballons, narration lines, and add sound effects to make it more realistic;

What interested me in this game was the art tbh. Then I realized it was a match 3 type game and had to give it a try. After trying out the free version i instantly fell in love with the gameplay. Took a little at first to figure out what i had to do in the free version but once i figured it all out it was amazing, so i just HAD to buy this one. It’s exactly like the free game just with more levels. I took my time and tried to enjoy the game as much as possible but unfortunately i beat it and that was that.

Deadly Cosmic

Deadly Cosmic

It’s a short but very cool game, I liked the creatures and the mystery in the plot, I also liked the little moments of humor. In fact I wanted the game to be bigger because I was very involved, but it makes sense for the price. From my point of view it is a game that worth it!

Loved the premise of the game, and the graphics definitely give it that unique feel and add to the creepy vibe. I had a little trouble with the perspective, especially when there was a creature just off screen that I could no longer see because of the change in perspective, but you learn to maneuver and function quick enough.

Took me a while to find and operate the toilet… longer than I would like to admit. Overall, I would definitely recommend playing through this one, it is worth it!

Here’s some gameplay if interested (first stream terminated with no warning and I had to restart the stream)

Dead Effect

Dead Effect

This game wastes no time giving you what your there for and delivers it buffet style. Your here to kill zombies and zombies you shall kill. With zero gravity, an over powered stun gun, weapons that would get Arnold Schwarzenegger panties excited and two super powers one that allows you to slow down bullet time like the matrix and devastation effect which allows you to produce an energy wave that obliterates anything around you. Basically in a nutshell you’re an overpowered badass.

From get go, you get to be one of 2 characters, either Gunnar Davis or Jane Frey (other than sex no difference in either choice) both members of the elite Unit 13 solider rank specifically designed for combat. You awaken to find that zombie moans are filling the ship floors like an accompanied supermarket soundtrack and that everyone is currently in the process of dying and succumbing to zombie bites before you can get to them.

I feel as if this game is getting a lot of uncalled for hate, especially with the recent key giveaway for the game, so I’m going to give it the positive review it deserves. I used to play this game on mobile, probably two years ago or so before I even had Steam. And, for a mobile game, it was a brilliant masterpiece. I feel like the PC port took all of the mobile version and just polished it up into a prettier looking package. Kind of like putting rims on a car; nothing important was done, but there is a noteable difference.

Deadlight

Deadlight

Now, where I have played Deadlight until the 100%-mark and having done everything that could be achieved, the only thing that is missing until completion is a detailed review containing the impressions I gathered over that journey.

First of all, success is what I link with Deadlight. There I few games I brought the courage to play until exhaustion and with Deadlight happened exactly that. I am a platformer enthusiast but the few I played have usually been abandoned because I coudn’t take the challenge. In my Zombie-hype phase, but even after it, Deadlight kept me fascinated with the fantastic graphic design and the well composed Soundtrack, I have reviewed seperately. With that being said, Deadlight has acoustically and visually definately been mastered and is therefore absolutely worth the purchase.

“It’s All Fun And Games Until You Get Bitten”

‘Deadlight’ is a visually stunning, wonderfully atmospheric, survival horror 2.5-D Platformer which raises the bar for the genre in some respects, but then also stumbles in others – resulting in a generally fun, if confoundingly uneven escape from reality.

Campaign: Developed by Tequila Works | Microsoft Studios and released in late-2012, the game drops you into the shoes of Randall Wayne, a US Park Ranger on a desperate search for his missing family in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Each level takes you across a fantastic imagining of a post-apocalyptic Seattle (circa 1986), featuring both indoor, outdoor and underground elements, with hauntingly beautiful backdrops making for some of the best visuals, atmosphere and tone in recent gaming memory.
