The Girl on the Train is a yuri romance kinetic novel about a delinquent who plays hookie to play video games (some popular titles mentioned and one parody title mention…which makes things feel pretty weird) and picks fights…until she meets (and stalks) the titular “girl on the train”. After her stalking phase (which ordinary people would probably call the cops about), the delinquent actually softens up and becomes a likeable character (when she started as an easy to hate character). Of course, she still skips school and even considers becoming a camgirl to pay the bills.

Mmm…so I stuck with the story, even when I realized that the game’s story was a bit bland and nothing really all that special. However, I don’t know if that time was well spent. I thought the conflict at school was extremely boring and it was taken care of in such a boring manner in the end, like almost an afterthought of remembering that there was a conflict at school to begin with. At least the graphics weren’t too bad, although the random chibi art seemed kinda weird and misplaced. The game is extremely short as well, even when reading the whole thing (I had some idle time in my play time as well, so that puts the whole story at less than an hour). But, I do give the story some leniency as it is quite short and not many people can tell a great story with few words. However, it could have been better and making it short is no excuse for a boring read.

Frequent Flyer: A Long Distance Love Story
I’m a bit surprised by the negativity in the other reviews, especially when it goes to writing - I think this game presents a very fine and believable story, even if it has some issues endemic to NWG titles (like unnecessary, mundane descriptions and scenes that clog much of the first 20-30 minutes of the VN). It’s also particularly simple when it goes to the visual side of things and the voice acting feels a tiny bit off (especially for James, mostly because of the recording quality), but never to the point of being actually off-putting and considering what kind of plot it tries to communicate, I didn’t mind it being a bit clunky.

Frequent Flier: A Long Distance Love Story is a short (about 2-3 hours) yuri visual novel. It’s a story about kinda complicated relationship. It’s never too easy but what was going on in this game made me rather curious. I have a number of yuri games in my steam library but…not my cup of tea at all. As this game is quite short I thought I could give it a try. And soon enough I realized I don’t mind. Love is love no matter the gender, the story was interesting to keep me going.
At the beginning we see that the game is based on a true story and it was very intriguing. There’s sexual content here but luckily for me no explicit art or detailed text description, so even I was ok with only general stuff. At first it was nice to read about MC, her feelings to that pretty girl, then things escalated quite unexpectedly… I was surprised, worried, annoyed but still intrigued. You know I finished the game minutes ago but I’m kinda frustrated. What was really going on? I expected the true ending route to show the other girl perspective or reveal the truth about everything but what was that? Is it open-ended? Should I think for myself? Is it obvious enough and it’s me who is not getting anything?
! Why was she even lying all the time? Aahhhh frustrated!

KARAKARA2
After the first volume, I thought this would be an easy review, but KARAKARA2 is plenty unique. It’s like the more I delve into it critically, the more unsure I am about how I feel about it. Let’s begin, shall we?
Starting off with the easy bits, KARAKARA2 looks and sounds exactly like the first. The backgrounds and existing characters are reused as they originally were, and the new additions fit in perfectly. There’s one or two new music tracks, but they’re just as standard as the rest, so I don’t even remember them honestly. Don’t expect any new features or anything you’ve not seen yet, aside from a fairly pointless chapter select (again, there’s only two chapters). On a surface level, there should be no real surprises.

Ah, Karakara, the Nekopara all those not comfortable with sex slavery asked for. ;) Just like the first game, this one is a visually impressive, lovely slice-of-life story set in a weirdly-lighthearted post-apocalyptic setting. Also similarily to Nekopara, the second episode adds two new heroines that get incorporated into the protagonist’s harem.
Other than just lighthearted fun, there’s an overarching mystery plot with some apparently powerful forces being interested in the protagonist and this part is, in my opinion, less fun. The dramatic moments are pretty poorly-written and the cliffhanger ending arguably kills the relaxing climate I really enjoyed in these games. The gimmicks/backstories of the two new heroines also feel rather weak, making the whole thing arguably a lesser experience than the first episode. It’s still a nice short story, but if anyone expected this series to expand in some impressive manner will probably be disappointed.

NEKO-NIN exHeart +PLUS Nachi
I read this VN coming in with the expectations that the 2 cat girl ninjas from the prequel would be getting some much needed discipline from their eldest sister that’s introduced at the end of the prequel since their supposed master is failing to do that at every turn & to some degree she does, but the male protag/MC undermines it every time so they continue to misbehave. The only reason I actually enjoyed this VN to some degree is because I enjoyed seeing those spoiled brats get disciplined like they should be but I still can’t bring myself to recommend this VN to anyone for the same reason I couldn’t recommend the previous VN the 3 MCs irritate me to no end & make me want to slap them non stop. So unless you want to read a VN where the entire story is just 2 cat girls ninja who do nothing but disobey & misbehave & then expect to receive praise & affection for it & a male protag/MC who does just that don’t buy this series of VNs if you want a good VNs series with cat girls in it just buy the NekoPara VN series.

An unrealistic but special relationship that illustrates the unconditional affection that the girls have for the boy they insist on calling their master, but whom doesn’t think of himself as such. A boy who will ultimately understand and accept the responsibility of taking care of these nekos that will change his life forever. This episode introduces Nachi as a supporting neko character.

I thought I had already written a review for this game..
Anyways, it starts quite bad. Xxz isn’t the most beautiful title one can think of, and it doesn’t explain nothing.
The game consists of a completely stupid match-3 basic grid and the rest yeah, it goes along the game hashtags: zombie, nudity, sexual content..
Needless to say, graphics are completely awful, not to talk about the soundtrack and effects.
For what concerns the actual gameplay, I had to refer to a great guide you can find here on Steam written by Maestro for a simple reason: the game doesn’t give you a proper tutorial, but rather uses some arrows thinking that you will get magically to know everything.

XXZ (made by the developer of DED and Bloody Walls) is a basic match-3 puzzle game that implements battle and strategy between your 3 units and enemy units, which is an interesting concept, but lacks on the execution. It has some nice eye candy and each level rewards you for completing your battle against these Zom-baes with some often lewd pics…except for a few times where you don’t get an image…which is rather disappointing.

I think the game is in an ‘ok’ level.
However, I also think the game could become better if the folks from L. Stotch could make the game a little easier to play.
Other things I could possibly suggest for improvement and/or to make it more interesting would be:

To add some writing to the game’s instructions. Because, images alone may not be enough for the players to understand how the game is played;

To give the game a story mode with animated cutscenes. Since there’s two playable groups of three, I suppose each of them would have their own adventure, obstacles to avoid or overcome, and zombies to beat. Also, speaking of a story mode, it could show how the infection began, and the first few people who had fallen to it. By the way, L. Stotch could animate the cutscenes in the same way as they did to the game’s trailer, or they could make it in comic book style. With speech and thought ballons, narration lines, and add sound effects to make it more realistic;

What interested me in this game was the art tbh. Then I realized it was a match 3 type game and had to give it a try. After trying out the free version i instantly fell in love with the gameplay. Took a little at first to figure out what i had to do in the free version but once i figured it all out it was amazing, so i just HAD to buy this one. It’s exactly like the free game just with more levels. I took my time and tried to enjoy the game as much as possible but unfortunately i beat it and that was that.

After 300 hour of playing how do you do it. I have scientifically reached the conclusion that reproduction between the two dolls isn’t possible, due to the fact that they don’t have eggs or sperm XD

Slop Slop Slop ~ hmmmmmmm this is getting somewhere, there are slight moans which could be heard slightly from the background. I do not currently find this disturbing as i believe it is a sign of enjoyment from the act. In the future i believe the dolls might finally have a child! I’ll call the child Bob… maybe, only if the dolls' eggs were fertile ;)

Long story short: Sex jokes aside, this game does have some interesting ideas about the view of sex to adolescents. Although more of an art project than a game, it only takes a minute or two and is worth at least checking out, no matter what kinds of games you are into.
You can immediately tell how do you Do It? was made in a game jam. It barely has much content at all, and everything about it seems so child-like. And yet, that’s the message being conveyed; how a young girl privately learns about sex, dealing with the confusion and embarrassment of it all. While nothing amazing as a game, the experience is interesting and concise in a way that it’s worth checking out and even analysing if you have the time.

Mojo: Hanako
A simple matching puzzle game with slightly increasing difficulty as you progress. The problem is that at any time there are only 3 possible moves, and sometimes only 1. At this point I have only played through the first level and I doubt that I will play any of the others, because of the complete lack of any sort of challenge. If all you are interested in is wasting an hour or two working you way through a monotonous game for the reward of a less than satisfactory final picture, be my guest. Otherwise RUN RUN for the hills, even at FTP on the first level this is a game to avoid.

Mojo hanako is a action puzzle game, this is a game from the Mojo series, that is an amazing gravity control match 2 action puzzle game, there is two powerups for leveling up puzzle pieces, the multiply numbers and the skull piece, main objective is to eliminate the most amount of puzzle pieces before the grid gets full of numbers, every turn you get a new puzzle piece, but the skull piece if not used in bad puzzle pieces it can end up being a power down, another power down is the down puzzle piece, watch out for those they appear later on in the game and it decreses the numbers instead of making they go up, ok that is pretty much the game, its epic, loved every second I played, looking forward buying the expansion pack.

Overall 9/10- let me explain the beauty of this game is let down by its lack of beat bars and so called cock hero game twists and story line still a great game but it will likely not pass the test of time with its story rich content not being backed up by the now booming beat bar economy£

A short but sweet VN. It features a female protagonist named Pumpkin who is in love with her mistress. Pumpkin decides to make a love potion to make her mistress fall in love with her. This VN features girl on girl relationships only. It takes about an hour to go through all of the unique dialogue.

Nice setting. This game features a lot of outdoor settings (flower fields, lakes, forests), and is set in a fantasy like world. Pumpkin and her mistress are creatures called Dryads - they look almost like fairies or nymphs. There’s also a mermaid and a talking raven. There is mention of wizards and magic, and it gives just enough background information about the world around you that it makes you think about what living in a world like this would be like.

Sweet Fantasy is a short visual novel where you play the part of Pumpkin, a tree nymph that has been down on her luck as of late. According to the story, dryads are notorious for being clumsy and unreliable, and poor Pumpkin is no exception. Her main objective in this story is to make her current employer “happy” – in more ways than the word initially implies! With this, Pumpkin will go to great lengths to get Miss Amethyst (her boss) to notice her, which is the premise of this story.
As with most other visual novels, progression through this one is no different. You will be presented with various options throughout the short story, which will ultimately lead to one of four endings. The choices you will make determine just how “lucky” Pumpkin will be in her endeavors~ as this story fits into the yuri genre. While it is no overly explicit once you have managed to take the appropriate route, there is definitely no mistaking its intentions as a whole.
