ESPRESSO REVIEW
Not a meditative, relaxing game as I assumed, but more a good reflex dodge em up with great rotational labyrinths to escape from. The remaining impression of rotating, expanding and collapsing levels will stick with you after you are done.
PROS
Intricate mazes to figure out
Monochromatic layout is a gorgeous modern art experience
Not as easy as you would expect
Music is a very nice low key electronic soundtrack that is well composed

Follow me, says the game with a chime.
A week ago, I received an email from Expand developer Chris Johnson inviting me to play the game ahead of release. Since it was a game I was already interested in, I jumped at the opportunity.
Chris describes the game as a “meditative exploration through shifting circular labyrinths”. It is a game that I find hard to frame my thoughts on - Chris' words are certainly accurate, but the game has another quality to it that’s a little more difficult to define.

One Circle
this game is very good, the mechanics and the arts are simple, the songs are fantastic. this is one of the few games that i spent hours and hours playing, i was stuck in many levels and i’m still stuck, i’m very bad at this type of game but i love it

This is an amazing and well made puzzle, the solution is always possible, but it’s not that easy, they’re pretty challenging, if you like puzzle games, one circle is definitely a must have. And it’s so cheap, what are you wainting for?
Highly recommended game!

Higgs Boson: Timed Puzzle
Nice puzzle. This game will require a lot of agility from the player, which makes it more fun and challenging.

A nice puzzle game. It’s harder than the previous “challenging puzzle”. If you’ve played the others I really recommend this one as well.

Whisper
It’s an interesting concept, navigating via sound. Quite short but I would be interested to see this game design expanded on.

Deadly Cosmic
It’s a short but very cool game, I liked the creatures and the mystery in the plot, I also liked the little moments of humor. In fact I wanted the game to be bigger because I was very involved, but it makes sense for the price. From my point of view it is a game that worth it!

Loved the premise of the game, and the graphics definitely give it that unique feel and add to the creepy vibe. I had a little trouble with the perspective, especially when there was a creature just off screen that I could no longer see because of the change in perspective, but you learn to maneuver and function quick enough.
Took me a while to find and operate the toilet… longer than I would like to admit. Overall, I would definitely recommend playing through this one, it is worth it!
Here’s some gameplay if interested (first stream terminated with no warning and I had to restart the stream)

Trio
Before talking about broken achievements and developers not giving a fuck about the game, let’s take a look at the whole description which is.. quite clarifying by itself!
“2D plaformer with hardcore levels. Play as one of three heroes with different abilities. Complete levels by helping each other. Enjoy minimalistic graphics and fantastic music. Do you dare to complete all levels?
35 levels
678 achievements
7 fantastic music track”
Intentionally passing over the rest of the information related to achievements, how they should appear or unlock and so on, let’s get it straight - this indie game is definitely one of the most minimalistic things you’ll ever play (or avoid, if you’re reading my suggestion.. xD).

break your keyboard!
perhaps the most minimalistic platformer i have ever seen and played, so great in design you just have nothing to distract you from a game, so clever that keeps you in tension every second of a gameplay, and with all its visuall cleanness, all minimalism its a real hardcore: my keyboard appeared just too bad to properly operate all these double-triple-quadruple jumps in time (or maybe this is just me too old))))
a note to developer: please add some “lives”, some easier mode ))))

Zup! 6
Zup! 6 is a continuation of the Zup! series, which offers its' players a simplistic and short puzzle game with the reward of nice looking achievement icons that are easy to earn. It also has nice backgrounds and emotes, all of which can be used to make your Steam profile sexy af.
This particular game felt a tad more difficult than the previous Zup! titles, though it was still and easy puzzle game in the end. Despite the fact Zup! is easy, it can still be satisfying to complete certain levels.
If you haven’t played any previous Zup! titles, the premise is simple. Get the blue ball on to the green platform without any obstacles underneath it. You can move the blue ball by clicking on a red ball/cube to cause an explosion, which will cause yellow balls/cubes to knock into the blue ball and move it accordingly. Complete all the levels and gg. You can expect anywhere from forty minutes to two hours of game-play from this game.

One green block
That’s all that introduces the seventh part of the game. Our goal is obviously the same as in the previous parts of the game, i.e. we have to bring the blue ball to the green field. And a very large number of achievements, almost 2500.
**✔️Cheap
✔️Achievements
❌Short
❌Too easy
Time of completion: 1 hour
Rating: 5/10

Athena, the rabbit - Jigsaw Puzzle
Such a cute, short game with an adorable bunny at the center. Picked it up for a whole 50 cents, but would have paid the $1.99 if I had to. Relaxing fun for anyone. That 576 pieces achievement can be done with any puzzle. Looking back on it, I would have chosen one that had more distinctive color changes. It is rather hard with one that has a lot of sameness throughout. But you do get to chose.

Very cute game and cute rabbit! I was so involved in the riveting story shown via Instagram photos.
Unfortunately not any time keeping mechanics that would be helpful for a speedrun of this game. There was also no way to turn off the photo of the puzzle in the background because it kind of makes me feel like I’m cheating. Still, I wish/hope for an update or a sequel to Athena’s life.
Personally I muted the music for this game (it’s not atrocious, but there is no volume slider, and I just felt listening to Dedo on Dedo by Simply on repeat for hours was more fitting)
