FACE A DYING EARTH

The year is 2089. For decades past, the availability of natural resources has declined to the point of societal collapse. Nations are governed by corporations, and the planet is on the brink of an ecological collapse that will leave nothing left alive.

During mankind’s last breath arises a shadowy network of conspirators, bent on saving the human species using any means necessary – even if it means sacrificing all it means to be alive.

Follow the trails of a mysterious organization across a dying Earth, in an atmospheric singleplayer adventure of 11 locations to explore.

FIND YOUR OWN PATH

As you explore vast facilities, combat is not the only path to success. You may find that often the best approach is to avoid hostile engagement altogether and instead find creative solutions to reach your goals.

Explore alternate routes, hack computers and security systems, discover lost logs, keycodes and passwords, and use every tool at your disposal to reach your objectives.

BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL

Leave a wake of destruction as you travel across mysterious installations left behind by the ominous Contingency Accord, and turn their own weapons against them as you trigger facility-wide reactor core meltdowns.

As you traverse vast, deadly facilities, you will come across powerful armaments, experimental weapons, and secret equipment.

Use an arsenal of unique weapons and other combat equipment, as you battle both security robotics and the remnants of experiments gone horribly wrong.

DEFINE YOUR HUMANITY

You are an anomaly. Waking up in a cold storage pod with little recollection of your past, you find yourself far less human than you remember – and far more of a machine.

With strange but powerful new abilities, you are forced to reconcile with your new self, and understand what it means to be alive.

Upgrade yourself with over 100 game-changing cybernetic implants as you explore levels, defeat enemies, and gain experience.

Starship Saboteur Prototype

Starship Saboteur Prototype

Nice prototype… worth playing. Some things I would change, tho:

1 - The models keep squirming after you killed them, even after you try to hide them inside a box

2 - I would make the pistol sound also noticeable to those who are close

Overall, there’s a lot of potential ;), imho

VR cute tanks: Girls and Dinosaurs

VR cute tanks: Girls and Dinosaurs

Just no.

Everything you see in the trailer is what you get.

A basic “tank” game which will get you motion sick and filled with sound issues and for each mode the developer though it was a good idea to change the control scheme?

Have fun killing dinosaurs that are stuck? No

Have fun shooting girls in small skirts that will kiss you back as thanks? Yeah its more absurd than what it sounds like.

To be honest ‘VR cute tanks: Girls and Dinosaurs’ is just as batty as it sounds. At its core, it is a VERY basic tank game in which one thumbstick controls where you are driving and the other shoots (with your head being the turret). It has some game modes like one on one and defence modes, but it also has “attack of the giant woman” mode and even dinosaur-killing mode! It’s as crazy as it sounds which would be fun if it wasn’t so crap to control. There is no score here, no multiplayer, nothing to keep you entertained. Yeah, you can look at giant women in pants, but is that really worth £1.69? (…yeah it probably is!). You would only really download this for the smiles or the cheap knicker shots, because as a game it really does suck.

Zombaliens

Zombaliens

It’s actually a really fun mashup of immersive sim and retro shooter ideas. While it’s not the same as Cruelty Squad, it definitely has some similar DNA and if you enjoyed that game you’ll feel pretty at home with this similar brand of off the wall indie jank. I went in expecting something goofy and extremely unpolished but was surprised that it plays pretty well and actually has some exciting firefights so far. I particularly enjoyed one part where you’re exchanging shots with enemies between two opposite sides of a skyscraper as windows and props shatter around you. Only meaningful complaints I have so far are that hitscanners can be a bit over aggressive and it’s almost impossible to avoid damage from certain enemies.

I’m not finished playing the game. Despite that, I wanted to chip in with a review.

Despite the rough cartoonish appearances, Zombaliens is surprisingly fun. The game tasks you in most levels with finding humans who are stuck in zombie cocoons and freeing them (with the occasional boss fight to break it up). Navigating the levels can be a treat due to the immersive sim interactivity elements as well as the plethora of routes provided. You can sneak throughout levels, shooting lights, and moving yourself to an ideal spot to catch enemies by surprise or avoid them entirely. Some routes are only available if you have certain weapons which provides some fun returning to levels. Additionally, it’s fun to just try and navigate as quickly as you can throughout a level and try to improve on previous times.
