BLOCKADE 3D

BLOCKADE 3D

The fuck did I just play? This is hilariously bad, kinda like some kind of…..Uh….Uh…Well….CoD meets Minecraft? With shit tons of lag. I can’t explain how I felt about this game, most of the time, it’s not the kind of game that makes me rage, it’s just so lame that I struggle to say anything about it. It just feels overall…Not good.

I played this game for the same reason that I play many other shitty games. I wanna live the nightmare myself, I wanna see if it’s as bad as people say, and it is.

BLOCKADE 3D is an free-to-play online first person shooter that is currently in Early Access that has been both developed and published by Shumkov Dmitriy. As you can see from the screenshots, it takes its visual style from Minecraft, but also throws in placing and destroying blocks as well, which allows you to edit the maps that you play on as you go. The game modes this game has are:

Battle:

4-way king of the hill. Capture and hold the centre of the map to earn points. Not sure how many points you need to win. It doesn’t say.

10/10 would CONE AGAIN! Great game could do with less bugs and more CONES. I am a verified AARP Gamer and over here in AARP town we like CONES and SLIDERS. More music would do good for this game. Slightly more detail and distinguishing sprites would make the game less chaotic.

I don’t even remember how I found this. All I know is I’ve gotten hooked on it even though the game is strangely translated as it seems it was originally in Chinese which is understandable. The game makes up for not being very coherent for legitimately fun gameplay. I’ve never even played multiplayer, only with bots. It’s so fun. I main Epsilon and can just do so much. There are many classes with many abilities that you will find will fit your playstyle without a doubt. From flying around, being sneaky, or being an unstoppable tank, this game has it has along with a chill soundtrack and immersive gameplay and a unique style. Loved this game, 10/10

Aim Lab

Aim Lab

While I love playing competitive first-person shooters like R6, getting good at them takes a lot of time and effort. When I’m serious about clawing my way into the next rank bracket, I can spend just as much time training as I do actually playing the game.

In the past, I’ve been spoilt for choice when searching for training exercises for R6. The Steam Workshop is brimming with prefire courses on the most popular maps, exercises that teach you about specific weapon recoil, and basic reflex and aim training. These tools, meticulously crafted and shared by the Steam Workshop community, have been incredibly useful for focusing on improving specific skills. However, they heavily rely on already knowing which areas we want to target in our training sessions. If, like me, you’re a bit unsure what your weaknesses are, I recommend trying out Aim Lab.

I spend roughly 5 hours a week using this, I would recommend putting on some good music and trying it out even for half an hour a day. It is pretty customizable, has plenty of modes, is constantly being worked on and the discord server is full of great people with specific channels dedicated to help you. If you have any problems you can simply report them with the in game bug reporter. It provides a detailed run down of all of the stats at the end round screen, what you are bad at what you’re good at, precision, accuracy .etc. There is an AI learning feature that takes information from your past rounds and applies it to the next, changing the size, speed and location of the orbs, I haven’t used it very much because I tend to just use the same six tasks but I can see it being very helpful for kicking bad aiming habits. All that and it’s free, pretty much a definite must have if you think you need to improve your aim. I personally have improved over the past few months of use and would highly recommend it if you’re not willing to spend money on Kovaak’s or another trainer, this basically has all the needed functions and more if you consider AI training.

My patience is wearing thin. Valofe is going to ruin this game. NS Studio wasnt listening on community and they where bad developers since about 2 years, but Valofe is going to be crazy.

Steam Market closed (was closed short before takeover, they didnt open it again), ingame Market horrible, they raised the prices beyond good and evil for items nobody care about and chances to get them beneith criticism.

they removed sprays and cards etc for whatever reason. events are copied from years above but rewards are devalued as hell.

No support for the game at all its kinda sad really they true to rule over their game because they poorly survey the game. If you end up playing this game understand one thing about it. 1 Hackers are allowed to roam freely in this game infact the dms prefer it that way so their so called partners look better then anyone in the game. If you speak out against them you will be banned I have spent a lot of money in this game and what I got was the F U button for speaking out on one of their so called partners. You will not ever get a hacker banned in this game unless you get it on video them snapping to people but if it can be covered up the GMs will do it no doubt about it at all.

BRAIN / OUT

BRAIN / OUT

For several weeks, I’ve thought long and hard about how I feel about the game. Yes, it’s fun; that’s clear to see how many hours I’ve invested into this game. Yes, I’ve made quite a few friends from the community. But honestly, that’s not enough to cover up just how toxic the community is. Very often, you will run into whiners who complain about you using a sniper rifle, using grenades or using anything. Other times, you will run into people backcap using drills (which makes blocks that you can use for walls/stairs), people who spawn-camp you, people who just sit on their ass with a sniper, waiting for kills even on Domination mode (Capture the point). You will be judged on what gun you use. If you use an AA12, you’re cancer. If you use a gun that requires microtransactions, you’ll eventually run into someone who’ll call you a pay-to-win fucktard. I’m not innocent of that and it’s everywhere. I’ve seen high-level players picking on lower levels and calling them “noobs” when they can’t fight back. Honestly, it’s gotten to the point where I can’t even enjoy the game and every night, I just leave and stew in frustration. This is coming from a player whose devoted hundreds of hours and money and has reached Lv 68. I’m considering un-installing this game.

After 75 hours put into this game, I feel like it’s time to give credit where credit is due.

Pros:

  • Free to play

  • Unique (not many other games like this out there. Shame.)

  • Replayable

  • Rewarding progression

  • Nice art-style

  • Variety in playstyles and loadouts

  • Very well balanced

  • NO pay to win*

  • Great community (both in the game and on Discord [has a decent playerbase, but could be larger])

  • Fluid gameplay

  • Has map editor

  • New Free Play mode is a solid way of incorporating the popular battle royale genre

Combat Arms: Reloaded

Combat Arms: Reloaded

Combat Arms came into my life when I was 12 in 2008. I can’t really remember much about Emnesty and Baxstar, but I do remember young players like -StiffNinja-, iNoTo, Soulow, Royko, Y4Y4 and xXTurner. I grew up playing with these young guns watching them turn into superstars, some winning tournaments and all of them had multiple screenshots plastered on my desktop, much to my mom’s displeasure. I started secondary school in 2010 with a head full of images of CA stars. I learned to write and read, learned to compose somewhat understandable English sentences during school. I graduated secondary school, entered CA tournaments and went to university. I graduated from there too. Now I’m about to enter the work force. During all this time, 10 years or so, I had my heros playing along with me. Giving me moments of ooh’s and aah’s, motivating me in my modest trial of Combat Arms, being my role models.

Real player with 222.9 hrs in game

TL:DR - Nostalgic, didn’t age well, glitchy, bad hit detection.

Played the original Combat Arms years ago. Saw this in the store and thought “Oh man i remember this game!” Well let me tell you, This game did NOT age well.

From the terrible hit registration to horrible delay to randomly losing connection to the server this game is a mess.

Most of the old guns and gear you have for free which is nice… except now you cant attach any accessories to them. A lot of items are just strait up missing from the game. The items that are for sale in the shop are all able to be bought permanently for both in game or real money which I appreciate, except the in the prices of in game currency are so high you’ll be able to buy 1 maybe 2 perm weapons before you would have to spend upwards of 100+ hours to grind enough money for anything else.

Ring of Elysium

Ring of Elysium

Bring back the original map and circle. The snow map is entirely different gameplay from a classic BR. I very much enjoyed every moment in this game with the old map and then you spring this new style of gameplay for the last testing and publish it with out the old map included, WHY!?!?!?!? Lose the helicopter, it is just a farm fest or turns into who looted more heals to outheal the other in the end, no matter if you show the other persons location or not. Dumb concept with no real player feedback when you published the final product. I recommend this game ONLY if they plan on releasing the old map sooner than 6 months from now.

Real player with 354.8 hrs in game

They really want you to use the DX12 client even though it’s in beta and crashes a lot. You loose all of your stats for that round for the weekly challenges when it crashes. It’s frustrating. The amount of dialogs this game has is insane. Load the game, 3-4 dialogs. End a match, 2-4 dialogs. You ranked up? 2 more dialogs. Event going on? You guessed it, even more dialogs. It didn’t use to be this way and I have no idea what game designer thought this was a good UI choice.

Another note about the online community of this game. The amount of toxicity of the players in squad play is about the worst I’ve seen in a game. It’s to the point where I generally just play with voice chat off which impairs squad cooperation. So it’s fine to play with friends but absolutely terrible to play with strangers. I generally don’t even play this game anymore unless a friend wants to it’s just….not fun anymore.

Rogue Company

Rogue Company

Stick long enough with this disaster of a game and you’ll find true worth of it. It’s worse than the actual sh*8.

They want to loot money through Micro-Transactions. Now hold on!! I would’ve have said earn and that would’ve been completely fine if only they would have been somewhat serious about fixing the damn game. But no, all I see are more ways to loot money while they keep introducing new bugs update after update. At this point, they are literally features of this game.

You know what the funny thing is? Go on and check most of the positive reviews. How much time did they spend on this game to write the review LoL. Looks can be deceiving, right!

I have some very mixed feelings about this game and wasn’t sure if I should recommend it or not, but in the end it’s a fun game that’s absolutely free, so there is no way I cannot recommend this.

The reason for my mixed feelings are the following:

The game is free and has great gameplay. The characters feel good to control and the general gameplay loop is engaging. It also has a variation of modes that feel quite unique from each other. As a result, you’re less likely to not enjoy any of the modes.

Slaughterhouse

Slaughterhouse

Fun game with a fun concept. It has some bugs, but that is expected of any game that is still in development. the creators clearly put effort into making it somewhat realistic (2 shots to the head to kill a monster, 3 shots to the body). They also added somewhat of a story. Looking forward to seeing where the developers go with this one.
