Chess Knights: High Noon
Incredible game!! This is definitely the most fun game in the Chess Knights series! I love western movies and this game has the perfect western vibe! In the other games, you could only survive, escapingfrom the enemies, but now you are a badass gunslinger and you only advance if you eliminate all enemies on the level! The puzzle continues with the same quality from Minimol games, but now we have the addition of Duel mode, which forces you to think and act very fast, just like in a real duel! I can’t wait for the full release!

I really like the games in the Chess Knights series. When I saw this game announced with this theme I confess that I found it unusual.
Well, what I can say is that this game just became my new favorite in the series.
In addition to the game being beautiful like the others, and counting very well elaborated puzzles (ranging from the simplest ones that present the mechanics, to the most challenging ones), the theme was very well implemented, including the duel, which is very well incorporated gameplay dynamics in a way I didn’t imagine for a game inspired by chess.

Cold Vengeance
Cold Vengeance is a gun-blazing action-arcade romp through a deliberately polygonal, block-y and hazy look to it that makes it reminiscent of late 90’s 3D action games for the N64, PSX, and Saturn. This retro-flavored and post-apocalyptic appearance in tandem with the forward moving, almost on-rails nature of the shooting bring me back to what I loved most of the era.
An Americana lovechild between Fist of the North Star post-apocalyptic wasteland sensibilities and Sin and Punishment gritty rail-gunning low-poly N64 age badassery, the intuitive weapon combining of the iconic Gunstar Heroes with the forward-pressing level progression of Shock Troopers all wrapped in a hilariously satirical romp rife with action and macho-fueled patriotism that only a post-2016 America could truly be deserving of.

Playing Cold Vengeance, you can tell this is likely Renegade Sector’s first foray into 3D games; it’s a notably less polished experience than later titles. The inability to turn around is an interesting constraint, one further explored in other RS games, but here the limited free-aim feels a bit clunky, fighting you at the edges and clipping in confined spaces. One unfortunate close-quarters boss fight in particular brings all of this into sharp relief. It’s frustrating, but thankfully not overly difficult, so it’s not long until we’re back in business running and gunning. Overall, it’s a characteristically fun and no-nonsense game with bright, crisp visuals, interesting level design and satisfying power-up synergies.

Welcome to the Polyverse
Great game, enjoying it thoroughly (still getting used to some of the mechanics). I can see the dev is really trying something different here. The low-poly aesthetic that is increasing in popularity actually makes sense if the player is in a simulation as this game suggests. Well done and I hope to see much more as I explore.

Florida Simulator 1986
Its got gators, shotguns, drugs, and is the most accurate portrayal of a 1980s Florida Man to have ever been captured by videogame experts. Best two bucks I ever spent, although there are still a few bugs that pop up now and again– but what did you really want out of this? Absolute clarity, beauty, and neutrality?
Think again, boys and girls.
If you can’t handle the shotguns, the grenades, the hardcore story-telling, and the stealth of a beer-bellied, swamp-bred man on his way to victory, then this is not the game for you.

I started the game out thinking how cool it was that FINALLY a developer used custom assets he actually imported into the GameGuru software. I give him a ton of praise for the effort that he put into this, but this game is a shining example of why you don’t use GameGuru to make a serious game with. GameGuru is absolute trash. Yes, I get that it’s a tool just like any game engine, but GameGuru is like trying to use a cheap plastic toy wrench to work on your car engine. It’s NOT going to work for any real game.

Shooty Fruity
Shooty Fruity gives the VR wave-shooter genre fresh legs by injecting everything with silliness. By adding the innocuous tasks of a grocery store cashier to what can often be the most unexciting game genre, both become inexplicably fun. There’s no downtime as you fight off hordes of devilishly fruity minions. When you run out of ammo, you throw your guns away (who needs them anyways?), when there’s a lull in the action you bet your butt there’s a stack of chocolate milk, ripe bananas, and miniature cacti yearning to have their UPC codes scanned. The guns feel, sound, and look great. Your boss berates your every action and reminds you of your expendability every ten seconds. It’s exhilarating. Remember all that part-time work you had to pick up after college because nobody knew what having a B.S. in Communications meant? You do? Oh. Well I don’t know why I spent all this time explaining this then. You know exactly what this game is.

First Time Gameplay (HTC Vive): https://youtu.be/l1mWOsu1sgw
Other Gameplay (Oculus Touch): https://youtu.be/b15G_2DOcFY
Shooty Fruity is a VR job simulation shooter game. The gameplay involves multi-tasking; your role is initially as the supermarket clerk scanning items to access as many weapons as possible during a round, to shoot oncoming fruit attacks, then repeat! The weapons run out of ammunition as you use them, which is why you need to continue working your shift by scanning the items, to ensure you have access to as many weapons as possible, as they rotate around on an overhead conveyor belt, allowing you to grab them as you run out of ammunition. You will know that you have run out of ammunition as the weapons then break, which is a good feature as the gameplay is fast-paced. Maintaining your primary role at a workstation during a shift, will also give you access to some power-ups which you insert like a coin into a slot located in front of you at your workstation. Power-ups last for a matter of seconds, but bare in mind that a successful shift can be completed in around four minutes, and power-ups can therefore be useful to get a better overall score and make it easier to complete your current shift. To finish a shift, and unlock the next shift, you must complete the three challenges listed on your shift card, before all the lights on your till have been damaged by the oncoming fruit.

Chuhou Joutai 2: Paraided!
I’m not familiar with Touhou games but I can see most of the stage and boss designs are reminiscent of them. Arcade difficulty gets ridiculous past stage 6.
A very charming game if and only if you’re into Touhou shooters.

Great little game for the price. Takes approximately 1 hour to finish and get all the achievements, depending on your playstyle and your OCD of getting all the stars. I enjoyed it. Now stop reading and go buy it!
