Bloody and cruel story of toys

This is one of the best games ever made. It’s were you play as a toy and must battle other toys. I have played this game for some time now and I think it is a very fun game. Hope others have enjoyed this game aswell.

2021 edit: Beat the game, pretty bizarre ending. If you are interested I highly reccomend struggling through the brutal unfforgiving gameplay to see the ending, its like talking to an alien like a real alien, undocumented. If youve seen the movie Memento i highly reccomend beating this game just for the end. The hardest level is level 2 easily, try and stock up as much AMMO AND HP as you can. Use the torpedos to kill bad guys through walls on that level and mash grenades while looking down n mashing jump on the next area. The rest you can figure out. Im interested in tlaking with the dev if he ever reads this..Awesome ending discussion in HELL

Explosionade, reminds me of the games of the 90’s, simple, but nice and fun!

Considering the low price, and a must to buy with your eyes closed!

If mommy has a selection of best games, it needs to get tried - and I’ve got to play the crazy platformer called Explosionade made by Mommy’s Best Games.

The visual style is not serious at all, it’s kind of silly sci-fi/alien environment where you are piloting a mech, killing aliens and getting to the exit. The controls felt really tight (played on Xbox 360 Controller) and I really liked it, considering more possible ways to deal with enemies - aggressive grenade rushes or defensive tactics with shield.

Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Glork

Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Glork

This is a fine Shm’up (or a Shoot & Jump’em up?) if you like it wacky. The gameplay is a bit random, but it’s fine if you are after some casual fun. Sometimes you get really strong weapons and easy enemies, the next time you get a lot of rocks and astro litter (yes, the game is wacky).

To be honest, I really glork this game and played it quite a bit. However, the randomness, or the lack of balancing, makes it impossible to take this game seriously or play it on a pro-level. There are some tactics

! like waiting before you collect crackers and weapons/upgrades - avoid certain weapons (like the Flarf) using flame spitters to generate gold crackers and get energy out of not needed equipment, and such - but ultimately you cannot fully control your own fate and you will struggle with the weak design (like angrymons take too many hits, often you get big waves of them that deplete all your energy and weapons - and then you have to start from scratch, meteor/tetris storm often break your killing spree and deplete your energy, etc, some guns consume energy too quickly, like the Flarf, or too week like the Twisty gun) and even bugs/inconsistencies (e.g. the camera view is very often not perfect, and a lot of things happen off-screen, sometimes a hit takes more or less of your hearts (but maybe the invaders are also using weapons with power mods, who knows). I am rambling because I would like to see this game in a line with some of the great invaders-like Shm’ups - but it just does not have what it takes.

As a fan of James Kochalka’s comics and records, I had to get this and I am glad it turned out to be be pretty good.

Glorkian Warrior is Space Invaders style shooter with autofire and a jump button. Instead of fixed levels, the games randomizes the successive waves of aliens as well as various other elements such as the ground you stand on or side challenges handed over by a pair of bossy sisters.

Enemies drop power-ups as expected and they are sorely needed as your default laser is slow and weak. The rare moments when you’re stuck with your default with no upgrades in sight feel a bit underwhelming.

The Short of it: JAGD LANZER feels like a blast from the past, arcade shooter that would have made my day on the NES in 1990. It’s a bit “rough” in visuals/graphics + translations, but I had good fun with it. Pew pew.

Reminds me of: If you liked NES Mecha shooters, there’s a good chance you’ll like JAGD LANZER.

Nux

This product contains somewhat original graphics, annoying music and controls that are so bad that it makes this games mostly unplayable.

Level is composed of three sections:

  • space ship top down shooter as in Raiden series, with boss fight at the end of every stage

  • Jupiter Lander-esque (Commodore 64 game) section where you need to navigate corridors, avoid rockets, etc. and finally land on a pad

  • scroller where you control your intrepid pilot shooting from his pea shooter gun at random stuff and where you need to collect 3 crystals to repeat next level in exactly the same order

Real player with 4.1 hrs in game

This game isn’t bad. It’s just middle of the row.

Despite what the description says; The claymation graphics are not amazing. They are, however, a bit endearing. As you’re given the sense that you are playing out a space adventure through the mind of a small child.

There are some old school graphical issues, such as flickering sprites, or some sprites that wont load on a given playthrough. Others have reported sound issues and such, but I never encountered that. What annoyed me the most, was the inability to run this game in windowed mode, and if you want to ALT + TAB to a different application in the middle of playing, say good-bye to having a functional mouse until you either switch back or close the game.

Airplane shooting spree

Airplane shooting spree

Leo pilots the fighter to highlight the enemy’s encirclement. You can shoot the plane or effectively avoid the opposite plane by moving the mouse left and right. You can move back and forth to get more supplies to help break through

There are three types of supply

Red: single shot becomes double shot. If you break through in time, it becomes three shot

Gray: you can summon one aid to attack and destroy the enemy in full screen, but it will not change in a limited time breakthrough
