After the SGF summer contest I realized that I’m a dinosaur, over 900 demos. .. the window of time for me to make a sustainable living from indie game development has closed.
I’m going to return to driving a semi-truck.
If lightning strikes and people give a hoot, I will finish the game.

Starblast
(Since I wrote this, the ship balancing has been fixed) In my opinion one of the best games to ever launch. I have a lot of hours on record. This game is worth the money, but if you are not willing to spend 10 dollars you can play it on the website starblast.io. This game came around when the .io games were a big thing, but as soon as I played it I could tell it was different. I knew this game would be succesful. There are minor bugs in the game, but the gameplay is so good that you can usually see through them. One thing about the game is ship balancing. When the game came out the ships were fairly balanced and then the website started to take balancing request. When they started to take balancing requests the ships started to get worse and worse. Level 3 ships soon started to be able to take out level 5 ships. The addition of drones and pods didn’t help this, but it was a fun concept added into the game. The game isn’t broken, but it will be soon be if the balancing problems aren’t fixed. From previous versionsit seemed to work best when the level 3 ships were fast, but did not do a lot of damage, and the rest were slow, but could destroy them if they try to attack them. The game modes in this game are fun, and in my opinion they don’t need to be changed. I’m glad they got rid of the radiation to be honest. The ships are unblanced, but coming from someone whos played this game since it’s release, I think the Y-Defender should be majorly nerfed. I think the developers did such a good job on this game, and this game will be be around for a long time.

Starblast began as a simple ‘.io’ webgame, but surging popularity and regular attention from its developers have allowed it to mature into a vastly more complex and competitive game than your typical ‘io’ game. I mean, only one year after genesis, the game has already expanded onto multiple platforms (hello Steam!).

Chicken Wars
first off, Chicken Wars is an incredibly detailed experience. Much thought went into every map, playable character, and item. This game has the high potential to be 2018 game of the year. The wild emotional rollercoaster of the story is captivating and embracing today’s social morals. Chicken Wars was created with an incredibly low budget and continues to amaze me. It surpasses every AAA title release through 2015-2018 and I’m glad I have been able to buy it.

Great Game.
I had the chance to play and test it during the Beta.
When i heard that the Devs want to release it soon i had my doubts due to the balancing.
But they did everything right, the weapons are on point and each has their own categorie where they shine.
(Longrange, Shortrange, Sneaking up, Midrange Brawls etc.)
Atm. there is no Matchmaking so it could happen that the matches end onesided (one team dominating 100-0) but im looking forward to those Tweaks.
The Roadmap looks promising, maybe a bit more maps throughout the Months.

This game made me discover that I sexually Identify as a Megadon M9X attack drone. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the desert shooting long hard rockets on disgusting Raptor 1000s. People say to me that a person being an attack drone is Impossible and I’m fucking brain-dead but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install a Drone-Brain Meld Interface, rotary blades, a Nova cannon and dual Predator machine guns on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Megadon” and respect my right to to hover in mid-air and engage in aerial combat. If you can’t accept me you’re a dronophobe and need to check your drone privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

The Chewllers
The Chewllers is a multiplayer, VR game, where 4 players protect the tower from monsters in Co-op mode. Evil creatures in this world are destroying everything they can chew. The main goal of the four players is to withstand the attacks of the “Chewllers”. You can fight against monsters in different ways, create your own crafted tools, or use existing explosive devices.
CHEWLLERS
You will see the different types of monsters in the game. Chewllers are distinguished from each other by their funny behaviors and abilities. Each requires an individual approach. The harder it is to deal with monsters, the greater the chance of them dropping resources, items, and chests.
CRAFTING WEAPONS
In the game, You will have primary and secondary weapons. The main weapon that the player constantly has is upgrading up to 5 levels. As for secondary weapons, there are 6 types of weapons that are functionally different from each other and have different roles. (Sniper, Shotgun, Crossbow, Grenade launcher, Machine gun, Potatoe Catapult). All secondary weapons are upgraded up to 3 levels.
THROWABLE ITEMS
There are 7 types of items available from which the player can make a bunch of weird and practical combinations of throwables. Creativity is the limit. Each of them has its own significance and uniqueness in various cases. Explosives, luring enemies, or chasing them are just a few of them.

WARZONE-X
WARZONE-X is a multiplayer first-person game developed in 2755 where large corporations fight for the few resources left on earth combining the experience of science fiction and cyberpunk worlds in a death match with futuristic technology. 5 classic game modes based on team fighting and can play up to a total of 12 players per map or solo mode against bots.
Classic game modes:
- Deathmatch: Also known as DM or Deadly Combat, it is the typical all-against-all duel, each by his side. The objective is to have the largest number of frags (deaths made by the player) at the end of the time, or be the one that reaches the limit of frags established in the game. One of the best known modalities that are derived in this way is the one-on-one, also known as 1on1 or Duel.
- Teamdeathmatch:
Also known as TDM or Deadly Team Fight. Here, the rules of the game are the same as in Deathmatch, that is, the winner (this time, “team” instead of “player”) is the one who reaches the limit of frags established in the game, or one who, At the end of time, be the one with the most frags. There are 2 teams competing with each other to be the winner.
- Capture The Flag: Also known as CTF or Capture The Flag. Players compete in teams to take the flag of the rival team and take it to their own base, while defending theirs. Competitive teams must have a large share of teamwork. Teams must defend their base from rival attacks, while infiltrating the enemy base, taking their flag, and returning to their base. - Rush or Assault: A team, called an attacker must place explosive charges on two predetermined targets. When these are destroyed, the next phase is advanced where the same is done. The defending team must defend the objectives until the enemy points or “regeneration tickets” reach zero.

Solid game; one of the two games I’m playing on a regular basis & don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.
It’s a lot of fun if you’re into challenging games, you might think that you’ve got it on lock and you won’t die anymore but it only takes one mistake to ruin your run and lose all them rare items that you had. It gets quite emotional.
What I want to shed light on the most is that only two people made this game & they’re doing a splendid job communicating with their players; logging in regularly and talking in global chat, often answering a lot of the questions that the players have. They’re even on Discord answering questions there and making announcements so that you’re always kept up to date. I’m worried that in the future they may start succumbing to the demands of noobs but we shall see. It is permadeath so they’re bound to get loads of negativity from those who can’t git gud.

But its bad when lag strikes and skills dont register properly and cause you to lose your ship.
Yes it is a perma death game, once you lose your ship, it is gone forever. After the new patch, pings get very high to almost unplayable
Naturally i will recommend this game, but make sure you have good pings before investing more time into this game.
