Teodoro and the Evil Machines
WHAT IS TEODORO AND THE EVIL MACHINES?
It is an action shoot-em-up, shmup “or schump” type game but with a visual style, history and difficulty adapted for kids with these features:

History
TEODORO’s home lived in peace, tranquility and harmony in a perfect balance using the magic and vital energy that emanated from that land.
But one day a door opened from which some very aggressive monsters emerged with horrendous machines that destroyed everything. They installed gadgets to take the vital energy of everything that lived to feed their machines of war and to go to other worlds to continue with their pillages.
TEODORO returned from his adventure and saw all that: “Help us Teodoro” said the sages, “You are the only one who can save the universe from these monsters”.
But TEODORO needs your help! Do you dare to try it?

Gryphon Knight Epic
I did this review in two ways. Here’s a link to the video review, followed by the text if you prefer reading it.
Introduction
Gryphon Knight Epic is a side scrolling shoot-em up with a medieval fantasy theme. You play as Sir Oliver riding atop your faithful gryphon Aquila who is not just fierce, but also immune to all damage. The story premise is that Oliver and his companions have come back from defeating a dragon and plundering its’ treasure hoard. But that treasure isn’t all that it seems.

This is indeed how I start this review!
Its rare for me to shoot a review out that says BUY THIS NOW.. but in this case DO IT!
Neo-Retro Feel and look
user pepsimanvsjoe gave a perfect review in my eyes.
Gryphon Knight Epic, is a side scrolling loop back shooter, where you play a knight.. riding on a griffon or Gryphon in this case.
There are truly no negatives in this game,
Those that did exist were patched up, very quickly, like key and button mapping
Some issues still exist where when you finish an area and have to pick a direction, sometimes it doesnt register that direction until you move away and back towards the direction you intend to go.

Dragon Blaze
This is my favorite games from PSIKYO! Great port even there’re something missing like restart button for stage.
What is stand out for me for this port and I really have to praise CC are the quality of sprite and sound just amazing!
this port even came with a manual no more wondering how game mechanic work for now fork who want to try the game!
Online ranking working fine! (Like now there’re like 70 people on ranking)
What I really want is a leaderboard for CO-OP and make steam remote play work with this game would be nice.

Dragon Blaze is a pretty good shooter, but it is one of the more difficult ones. I can withstand a lot of bullets, but Dragon Blaze is over the top. The game plays smoothly and is responsive at 60fps. Once again, the developer has created options for us to make it through an old school shooter such as unlimited continues, extra lives, etc. without throwing our hands up in despair. Allowing the Dragon to be released provides additional strategy for providing more offense. You’ll need the extra help.

Touhou Multi Scroll Shooting 2
This game is sexy. I like it.
Cool mechanic, interesting, boss fights, nice stuff. Only negative is the wonky balancing and the hit or miss stage design.

Touhou Multi Scroll Shooting 2 (or MSS 2 as we’re gonna refer to it from now on) is another new Touhou Derivative work, this time a sequel to 2019’s MSS 1 which you can actually grab for free on Steam. This time there’s multiple characters, 7 Stages, and overall it’s a huge improvement on the original. Some of the bullet patterns really had me sweating my ass off trying to dodge them, but using Sakuya’s time slow ability actually felt super engaging and fun.

Gryphon Knight Epic: Definitive Edition
Gryphon Knight Epic: Definitive Edition:
After having defeated the enormous dragon that destroyed the all the crops and the army of the kingdom of Valiantskies, and of course, having saved the Princess, the leader of a group of eight heroes, Sir Oliver, fell deeply in love with the Princess as they stared into each other’s eyes for the first time. In the meantime, the other party members were already at the defeated Dragon’s Lair, taking possession of his gold, and most importantly, of seven powerful magic weapons! By the time Sir Oliver arrived at the Lair, there was plenty of gold for him to scoop away, along with an amulet, but no more special weapons. Years have passed, and Sir Oliver is now married to the Princess and has a child, but life is now kind of boring, his only outing being with his amazing Gryphon Aquila to gather food for supper. Until one day . . . he comes face to face with his own spectre, which is his total opposite and swears to destroy him, all thanks the Amulet he found years prior in the Dragon’s Lair.

Classic arcade shoot 'em up (shmup) with polished pixel graphics, metroidvania-lite depth, upgrade systems, and a clear megaman influence; rock paper scissors style weapon acquisition between bosses – minus the punishing difficulty.
It's a breath of fresh air in an otherwise saturated roguewhatever/massive metroidvania market. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a lot of roguelite/likes and love metroidvanias, but sometimes you just want a burger, not a six course meal. The game is still challenging; you'll probably die at least a few times even if you're a bullet-hell junky (which this game also is not).

## Flight of the Paladin
This is a flight and fight game.
You are a riding paladin that sends out projectile attacks from your spear or you can hold it alittle to attack all around yourself. The monsters you fight are classical once like bats, wolfs, skeletons, gargoyles and more, The enemys have their own attack pattern, but the wolf has a cheap one.
The bosses are all halloween classics like Dracula, The headless rider and more.
You can take 1 hit but you need to wait alittle to be able to take another one.
The music consists of classical music and the horse you ride on uses a long time to get from side to side, and that is bad because if you are near trees or walls then you intantly die.

Ok,I heard some reviews about this game saying that it was bad and things like that, and after playing it,even for a short time,as the game is indeed,a little short, I can say that the game is not bad,it's not the best thing there is out there, but the gameplay is fun,it reminds me to the Touhou series or Galaga and games like those.
What I can say is that, paying the full price is not worth it,maybe if you find this game during a sale, and you have nothing else to buy,you can get this one,I got it for almost 10 cents or in my coin (which is the Mexican peso (1 dollar=almost 19 pesos)) 2 pesos.

## Murasaki Tsurugi
This is a good follow up to the first Murasaki.
The targets don't hurt you anymore, which is much more comfortable for the player and also allows for wilder enemy patterns.
short stage comparison:
! Stages 1-3 are more interesting in this game, however stage 4 and 5 are a bit underwhelming compared to those of the first game. The stage 6 boss is shorter, but the patterns themselves are way more fun.

Great game that improves quite alot compared to previous tittle. Simple, yet fun with alot of depth to be discovered.
Also absolutely amazing soundtrack.

## BLACK BIRD
BLACK BIRD has easily been one of my biggest shmup related surprises of the year. I follow shmup releases as close as possible and as a result I feel that I’m aware of most upcoming STGs on Steam. The first time I heard about this game was around the time CAVE employees streamed it on their Twitch channel. I came across it again by chance in the 2018 Winter Sale and decided to purchase it.
This game is the debut of Japanese indie developer Onion Games on Steam. I’m not familiar with them but evidently they’re known for a few games including Million Onion Hotel. BLACK BIRD’s story is about a little girl that dies in the street. After dying she is reborn as a crow and starts to destroy everything. The story, graphics, music, and environments are all well designed. I'd call it almost a steam punk style opera type of aesthetic. When I originally saw the game on CAVE TV the style didn’t connect with me, but when I actually played the game I enjoyed it.

Imagine a remake of Fantasy Zone with Tim Burton's flavor of adorable bleakness, japanese attention to gameplay detail and quirkiness. The game starts with a young girl reborn from despair as a Black Bird to destroy the world. The more you kill, the bigger and more powerful you'll grow. This dark premise is offset by cute spritework, silly animations and a very eccentric soundtrack. It's just a delight to consume the cruel world, which left you to die. The gameplay and its scoring is well tuned. The player is constantly managing risk, reward and greed. Nuking a whole screen at max combo with a completely pumped up bird is the most satisfying climax very few shoot 'em ups manage to pull off. The first play through is easy mode and completion unlocks the slightly harder true mode. Online leader board for global score chasing just adds to the replay value.

## Crucible
I'm one of the developers for this game; I produced the game, put together the overall design vision, and programmed the bullet patterns. This project was an incredible learning experience, and I'm thankful to my team for making it such a fun and fulfilling time. It was my very first game project, and very much a passion project.
Things that went well:
- For a six-week project between three freshman-level developers, I'm proud of how much we squeezed into the game.
- The game is extremely short, but is a complete experience. The player can win and lose, and there is a progression in difficulty (if imperfect).

### Review
I really liked the music a real piano bop and the game itself it's challenging and I'm glad the game gives you a reason to play through with no continues. Normal mode is definitely manageable, but it's still challenging enough it's pretty rewarding when you beat it on normal with no continues. Legendary is beyond my skill level, but normal is pretty user friendly and if you really struggle you can use continues to make the game beatable by everyone you only get the best ending with no continues though. Definitely recommend a solid free to play that lets you practice/test your bullet hell skills
