I See Red

I See Red

A frantic Twin Stick Shooter that embraces destruction

I See Red is a frantic experience where you can wreak havoc and bring entire ships to crumble. Everything that you can interact with, you can destroy. Every cover and detail can explode into pieces. Use this to your advantage to expose your enemies. You can also brutally execute your foes with your own hands.

A never ending roguelite journey

Fight your way through the entire galaxy, invading spaceships from Human, Robot or Aliens races, each with their own weaponry, augments and more. By completing challenges, every time you begin a new playthrough, you will be able to experience new unexplored paths, more powerful skills, never before seen fearless enemies, the most incredible abilities and more. Make your runs more diverse every time you start anew and find new ways of achieving your vengeance!

A story of vengeance, violence and pain

You are an outlaw, crawling about the infinite black space, in search of the person that did something horrible to you. In fact, you are so focused on your quest that you started to not care about your surroundings that are alien to your goal, making them look muted, but what you do care the most it would always be in RED.

Now, corrupted on the inside, you’re tormented to find out what happened to you to be this way.

Key Features

  • A vision that highlights in RED what’s important to you and muting what’s not.

  • Your multipurpose arm, a Grappling Hook, that can latch onto the environment to bring objects at a distance, and even to your enemies to brutally murder them!

  • Everything is destructible: break down a column to uncover an enemy, grab a weapon, empty it, and throw it at their face, and then do it all over again until the entire room is broken into pieces!

  • Become stronger with each run by finding components that upgrade you in every way.

  • UNLEASH YOUR RAGE! Every time you damage (or get damaged), your rage increases, until you can release it and mutilate every enemy in your path instantly!

  • Unlock skills, passives, weapons, consumables, enemies to fight, and even ships to invade to make each playthrough unique.

  • A dynamic music system that adapts to the current mood of the fight.

Would not recommend anyone to purchase this one. Product is too raw. It needs remastering and fresh team for finishing the project. Maybe, the idea is not the worst, but… Too many “if there were…”. So, step by step.

1. Graphics. Looks fine, but… It is some kind of the Unity Engine, completely without any optimization. Your FPS will drain starting from the first room. 5/10.

2. Gameplay if fair enough. Sometimes lags, for example you’re unable to click a node in the electronic scheme puzzle, rotating buttons on the energy node remain inactive after activating and e.t.c. Also weapon switching doesn’t work properly. I think this all caused by the Unity Engine. 5/10.

I wanted to leave a review as I’m pretty confident, with only 89 current reviews; that the developer may see it.

Firstly, I like this game for what it appears to be. To me this game appears to have been created as a first real use of the developers core skills in the field and as such, represents a very well designed game given the basic coding knowledge present.

The assets used have reasonably high resolution textures and are high quality (except for the obviously hand-made red ‘shootable fuse box’ which sticks out as not part of the original asset pack used) and therefore they are, along with good lighting, at least remotely nice to look at, allbeit a little monotonal grey.

Space Mercenary Shooter : Ep 2 shorter then the first one and still no real story but they did cleam most of the bugs on this one even if most of it’s a copy and paste and introduce more them three wepons which make the game more enjoyable .

In overall they did try and make a better game and introduce new elements and for that a thumbs up , hope they keep up the good work .

STAR BARON – VR BEAST COMBAT GAME

STAR BARON – VR BEAST COMBAT GAME

Hi there

This is my first attempt to write a review, and i’m also an ESL guy - so please don’t juge me too hard.

Basically, i ramble through the new vr games looking for a new sensations. Star Baron looked like prety promising release.

The idea of riding a sci-fi beast mounted with lasers was a great attractor for me. And i could say it was nicely embodied.

The main good thing is - i was really able to experience the feeling of ride without heaving a seasick after couple of minutes of playing.

UPDATE 10 Dec 2018:

I last played this game nearly a year ago. As per my original review below, I liked the game well enough, but didn’t feel the urge to want to go back at the time. Boy, have things changed, mostly for the better.

Pros:

  • Nice control customization. Being a smooth locomotion/turning kind of guy, this game had it all.

  • Nice weapon options. The weapons this time around had a better distinct feel to them (how they ‘felt’, how they sounded. Handling grenades was a breeze.

  • Level Design was nice and varied; a mixture of indoor/outdoor levels kept in fresh. I like how the outdoor levels gave a better sense of elevation in moving around (compared to the indoor levels, which mostly felt like you were in a single floor. The outdoor levels had a really grand scope of scale, making me feel like a rather small person.

7.6 out of 10

This new review coincides with the release of chapter 2. The devs have turned things around and we’ve got a very solid game building here. The graphics have been improved with more varied room designs and furnishings and excellent lighting. Flashlights now illuminate correctly and melee combat provide more damage.

After replaying from the start I can tell the revised chapter 1 is an overhauled version of the previous design and it plays much better than before. And the new story does a good job at motivating you through the levels. I really enjoyed playing to the end of chapter 2, though I haven’t managed to get past the epic fight at the end of this chapter which I’m finding pretty intense.

Antares

Antares

I want to like this game more, and this is the first game I can look at and go meh about. The graphics are pretty cool, and some of the monster designs are cool, but the monsters are all bullet sponges no matter how you upgrade your damage, the power shutdown mechanic is cool the first time but gets annoying after the first half a dozen times you get through it, and though it was made by one person, that doesn’t excuse some of the sloppy corner cutting that was done, like the enemies appearing if you walk slowly enough, the sound mechanic only really does anything during the power outage and not in interesting ways like, say, sneaking around enemies (of which there are way too many skeletons, why are there so many skeletons? reminds me of Dark Souls 2 with the amount of enemies on the map). Also, if you jump on crates, enemies can’t get you, but you can headshot them as you please, the maps are confusing, there’s only 1 gun to upgrade- all of this and more. Like I said before, it was done by one person, and I can appreciate that; however, this is not a complete game, by any stretch. This is, in my opinion, playable beta at best. Does that mean I don’t like it? No, I really like it; I just wish it had a bit more polish than it received before being fully released, and a couple of my complaints are more minor than the rest.

Disclaimer: I received an early key for free to check out this game. If anything changes I may update this review in the future.

Okay so Antares is a relatively small Indie Horror FPS with the majority of the game developed by one person.

I have no history with the developer but Sonaloux seems rather passionate about what he does and playing the game you can tell a lot of work has gone into it.

Personally, I have lot of respect for Solo developers. I consider my self one but I’ve never really created anything to the level of something like Antares. I find that games created out of passion come from mostly smaller teams, so while these games may not be of amazing quality it is very easy to overlook a lot of the minor issues when you find out it came from one person alone.

Enjoyed the game, graphics are fantastic, but had problems thru-out. For no reason it would start to rotate the player non stop. Had to exit game and restart. When I got to the point to gather the Polonium Fuel It wouldn’t open the last gate to gather the fuel container. After further play time I found my error. Also it would be nice if you added a list of game save points so you can return to a previous point in the game.

I started playing this game when it was in early access, it’s a great game! Thoroughly enjoying it every time i play it. I love the beautiful surroundings and the vibrant colours in game, the humour has also had me smiling as that is something i quite like in games. The controls of the game are simple also. I think the game is great fun and addictive :) I am grateful that i was given the opportunity to play, thank you! The only negative i have is that sometimes it can be a little laggy but it’s not a deal breaker.

This game is an one-man development game and i am surprised with how much effort this guy put on this game.People seeing a 0.70 cents game would say(like we all do and did) probably just another shity game but I would prefer this game ten thousand times over a 5-10+ euros game. For 0.70 cents you are getting a really good shooting game challenge.YES its not easy.. you will tilt you will have the urge to curse and stuff but at the end of the day it will be worth it. There are 3 boss fights with A LOT of mechanics that they can be forgiving maybe once or twice but you can feel the challenge and you will just exhale hard when you finally kill it and move on.Smooth graphics,no bugs found and a 10/10 for the exp. Worth buying for sure

Westworld Awakening

Westworld Awakening

Played it on the Samsung odyssey plus WMR head set and it worked fine.

If steam had a neutral thumb i would hit that for now, but the game has more pros than cons for me at the moment.

Pros:

-Pretty game

-excellent audio quality

-all the little flavor details that pull you in to the world of the TV show like schematics for locations you see in the show or the mentioning of story lines/history of hosts from the show

-good, simple control scheme (after you turn off that stupid sway locomotion in favor of standard analog movement, also i change grab to a toggle it helps when you get the tablet and need to scan things.)

I’m a huge fan of the show and really wanted to get this, but at $30 and from what I had heard only 2-3 hours of game-play, I passed on this….

…until it went on sale for $9.89 and then I decided to pick it up.

Very nice surprise.

I loved this game and it was well worth the price.

I’d definitely recommend it at a $10 or less price point.

Pros:

  • Graphics are amazing. Simply beautiful.

  • Atmospheric. Really makes you feel like you’re immersed in the Westworld universe.

  • Puzzles are not too difficult.
