Alien: Isolation
I think this is one of the best games ever made. Its ironic it came on the heels of the disaster which was Colonial Marines (Which I kind of like, particularly in its extended content which is where Isolation originated)
Anyway, really scary AI Alien that one shots you and does learn your play habits forcing you to constantly change things up. Excellent attention to detail of the original Alien movie props. Its a game filled with jump-scares even when you know whats coming. Game allows backtracking to previous set pieces once you have more equipment to deal with obstructions.

I’ll keep this simple: best horror game ever made, go play now.
For Alien fans: if you haven’t played this, you’re missing out on something better than Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection combined could have ever been. This is the true 3rd installment in the franchise and is a true piece of art from start to finish in all its details.

HORROR TALES: The Astronaut
Set in a fictional Space Station and taking place just after an incident in such space station, players experience terror directly in first person while they solve environmental puzzles (including physics-based puzzles and 0 gravity puzzles) in an interconnected space station with a metroidvania style level design. The air is running out and the power of the space station is running low. Will you survive?
But be aware: the space station is not uninhabited and it’s guts hides creatures and other biological entities no one would like to cross paths with.

Quadrant
Summary (TL;DR):
Quadrant succeeds in delivering a short but tense first-person horror adventure, provided you’re not expecting a $5 game to measure up to the genre’s AAA heavy-hitters.
What Rules -
-
Solid Horror Adventure gameplay sprinkled with small bits of action, stealth, puzzling, and (limited) exploration
-
Good level design with some effective use of light and shadow
-
Great music and overall decent sound design helps cement Aether Research Facility’s creepy, desolate atmosphere

Quadrant is an episodic first person horror game made by a very small team. Unlike many other horror games on the market, it doesn’t rely on jumpscares and cash from screaming YouTube kids, instead it focuses on the adventure itself, story and atmosphere. It was supposed to be a 5-episode deal, but then the whole story was cut to just three episodes (the price has been lowered as well).
When I started to play it, the game reminded me a lot of the first F.E.A.R. game, by the Episode 2 it already was like Half-Life 1. Speaking of which, if you played They Hunger mod for Half-Life 1, this game and that mod has lots of things in common.

Starless
A flotilla of three space arks set off for a distant planet.
An emergency has occurred on your ark: the entire team has been infected with a mysterious virus, and the life support’s are damaged.
Trying to save the dying ship, artificial intelligence brings the first colonist out of suspended animation.
Starless is a stealth action game where you as colonists make your way through the gloomy corridors of the space ark. Your main allies are caution and prudence.
If the colonist dies, the next one will take his place, but the number of people on board is limited. Each death is a serious threat to the flotilla’s mission, as a small number of people will not be able to establish a colony on a distant planet.
You are assisted by Aurora, the ark’s artificial intelligence. Her goal is to save the ship at all costs, but the lives of one or two people do not matter to her.

The Persistence
What a great surprise is The Persistance VR !
Is too early to give a definitive review but so far I want to give this game a big thumb up !
I Recommend this for VR players.
So far the game is an 8/10 for me.
Here is a good gameplay video that shows different mechanics: https://youtu.be/fwtger58dyw
The game has a main story where the player is embodied on clones that can evolve in stats, and the player can unlock blueprints of new weapons and features. With those premises the game generates a procedural level with the current objective of the campaign.

UPDATE 17 DEC:
Just completed the Main Campaign. I found the campaign to be well-balanced; it often took various attempts to get through each level, but the game fortunately saved major accomplishments as you went through the level, so you never had to replay too much of the current level. Ultimately, there was a steady sense of progression as you played the game, with the only exception being the final part of the game where you had only a single life left (HINT: Use the Captain’s DNA to double your health).

The Subject
Playing The Subject is an intense, fun, and challenging experience. From the tutorial to the end game you have to think about the way to solve ever changing puzzles and discover useful patterns. Some of these puzzles do take time to understand and figure out. The key is to not get frustrated, and keep track of your health/battery life. If the puzzles in the game were not challenging enough, there is also a creature hunting you down in what appears to be a sci-fi labyrinth of art reminiscent of 1980’s science fiction.

The Subject is both a mind-boggling and heart-racing game. Its careful balance of puzzles and horror keeps you on your feet while not taking away from its problem-solving core. The Subject indeed does have a traditional Sci-Fi feel but manages to keep its unique atmosphere and aesthetic. Its story elements provide a contextual background of the main character’s (your) situation while leaving many aspects up for interpretation by the player. The Subject is not meant for the light of heart; completing the game takes dedication, attention to detail, and anger-management skills.

I recommend this game completely! this are Most need games in your VR catalog
This game could be summarized in Obscure meet Dead Space Meet TWD: Saints & Sinners
THE GOOD
the game is quite friendly for new users and veterans welcoming the survival horror
the story is interesting but it is a pity that you cannot discover everything in a simple run you must keep playing to unlock all the objects and lore bits of the game
As you keep playing the game evolves also putting a couple of additional challenges which is welcome but it can be RNG too so your first experience may be very difficult or very easy

EDIT: Many of these issues have been totally addressed and playing through the game is now extremely fun. The air canister issues are no longer a problem - and now they appear often enough that occasionally I have a few extra, but because of the limited inventory space, making a choice what to keep feels meaningful and it never feels like I have a total surplus of air.
The extreme darkness seems a lot better, and lit rooms feel easier to function and navigate for the most part - some rooms have more dim or more ambient light but in general it doesn’t feel like the flashlight is absolutely necessary in those rooms.

Dead Space
I’m not huge into survival horror with emphasis on ammo and health pack conservation. But I bought this ages ago on sale and finally pushed myself to go and complete it. Still not huge into the genre but I had fun and was pretty fun all the way through. Graphics still hold up ok too. I would obviously recommend to anyone who enjoys Resident Evil games.

Aged Like Fine Wine
Dead Space is now more than 13 years old, but don’t let its age and dated graphics fool you. Some may say that I’m too late to the party, but I dare say that this game was truly ahead of its time, and there isn’t anything like this nowadays. If you, like me, are new to the franchise or just looking for a good horror title, this review is for you - with no spoilers.
Curiosity in Storytelling
You play as the silent engineer, Isaac Clarke, on his mission to repair the mining spacecraft USG Ishimura. Throughout the campaign, you will find leftover data like text and video logs explaining a fraction of events before your arrival. The variety of information given to you is like a piece of fabric, so you can sew the story back together just enough to understand what had and is happening. From data research regarding the “creatures” you encounter, to the sheer panic and the slow downward spiral into insanity that the crew had experienced due to the influence of “the artifact”. While the game’s progress is linear, as you move from one section of the ship to another, everything still feels interconnected. There are some chapters where you return to the previous areas, the environment has been renewed, you can now enter previously-locked rooms, whereas some of the old segments are now blocked because of the advancement of the “creatures”.

The ORBITAL
Orbital - first person sci-fi survival horror. You are one of the last, (or maybe last) crew member. Your mission is to find out what is going on and get out from the spaceship. Will you survive, or not, will depends only on you.
You are an ordinary member of an expedition to explore new worlds. Your responsibilities include maintaining the ship’s subsystems and maintaining the working equipment. After another expedition to the surface of the nearest planet, you began to notice some oddities in the behavior of an electrician. But you blame this on the unexplored effects of exposure and the electromagnetic field of the new world. And one day you wake up as usual. But nothing else is normal on your ship.
Can you be smart and get off the ship that has turned from home to your worst nightmare?

The same spaceship - a different place
The location of the items changes and the available rooms change after each failure.
Different scenarios
Explore the ship, collect notes about the last moments of the life of the crew and find a way to get out of there.
Dangers and Opportunities
Using the work tool, discover new places and previously inaccessible areas. You don’t have a chance to confront your enemy directly. But you can distract and run away. If you’re careful
Death is the loss of everything
If you are lost, this is the end. When you die, you will start the game from the beginning. On a different ship, in a different situation. Another person. Good luck.
