The Game has great potential. It is lagging sometimes. But the developer is so proactive. He is releasing updates on time to time basis. I loved the game very very much.

This game is very dry.

Levels are undetailed. There’s only three enemies: pistol guard, submachinegun guard, and shotgun guard (this one is bald, that’s how much difference there is). You have three actions: fire weapon, telekinesis, and look ahead. Technically there’s also walking, but that’s useless and best left never used. Your character could win an award for most generic video game protagonist ever. There’s not much decor or interaction, beside breakable desks, black bottomless pits, exploding cylindrical tanks on some levels, and shattering glass, which the game author seems to have fallen in love with.

Cybermere

I like the idea of the game and the graphics, however, the way to play is too confusing with the game offering the bare minimum of advice for example it will tell you what each item does but it does not explain in what order to use them in or how they affect what your doing. The very first mission I played I had to pretty much guess my way though it the first time I hacked the node it took 3 minutes of real time the second time I restarted my campaign and did it again it took 32min of real time and the game does not tell you what affects it.

I bought this game on the Steam release sale (10% off). While I can’t say that I feel I got my money’s worth, I also can’t quite give a negative review. Consider this a neutral recommendation. There’s lots of things to like about this, but there seems to be an equal amount of things not to like.

This is a sci-fi escape room. If you’re expecting a puzzle experience like in The Room VR: A Dark Matter, then you will be sorely disappointed. This game lacks the production values, polish, & the amazing puzzle design (along with good hint system) in the The Room. Instead, you have puzzles that are open-ended and you have to find the right item or the correct code and figure out how to use them or pair them with another clue.

Real player with 4.8 hrs in game

The Devs have listened to feedback and added smooth turning and other control options, very good.

The game itself consists of a quite a few puzzles that are difficult to understand or outright confusing unless you’ve done them before. I don’t feel rewarded for finishing them, rather annoyed at the solution. I often found myself making progress only to be faced with yet another puzzle, and thinking “What was the point of that last one?” or “Why am I here?”

It lacks direction or explanation for why I’m doing any of the things I’m doing. Am I supposed to be doing this? Is the game glitched or have I just not found the correct solution? There’s just no indication of what I should be doing.

  • They mutate! - Tremble in fear as each kaiju grows stronger and gains devastating abilities through mid-level mutations.

  • Unstoppable! - Kaiju can’t be killed, but can only be slowed down and forced to fall back… for now. Pepper them with ammunition, if you can.

  • Predictable! - They move towards the nearest building, and them scientists have mathed the exact odds they step on each tile!

Campaign Mode!

  • Uncover the mystery - Strange things are happening: frequent volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and earthquakes. Find out why over the course of an 8+ hour story-based campaign.

  • Embark on a Campaign! - Play missions from all over the world as you progress through the globe-trotting fight against kaiju. STAR WARS™: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes™

STAR WARS™: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes™

This game has a lot of poor reviews which is absolutely fair. There’s a bunch of awkward bugs and glitches you’ll somehow run into by just playing normally, and worst of all, you cannot save. This however is not actually the game’s fault, but the fact that the client it’s on is no longer online. I don’t know the details, something like that. Anyway, all that aside, this game is a pretty good time if you play it with a friend. The missions are short and simple, the story is well paced and varied, and it even has a few fair puzzles. Not too hard, not too easy.

So heres the thing about 99% percent of the reviews on here. its literally ALL about windows live and how it doesnt work.

But heres the thing, they fixed the windows live issue. If for some reason you download this game and have issues just google games for windows live, download it, and boom. Game will work. Just make a local account so you dont have to deal with downloading accounts or any loading times.

Now… Onto the review!

This game is honestly a fantastic experience. Whether you are a solo player looking for a fun little game that has plenty of action and platforming, or you got a buddy with you and want to have a fun a** coop experience, this game is perfect for you!

Daedalic Entertainment is a German company aimed at production and distribution of Video Games; it’s specialized in point and click traditional graphic adventures with hand-made illustrations relying heavily on puzzles. Daedalic has always paid a lot of attention to the narrative side, although within a traditional and somewhat dated gameplay; its productions are generally characterized by a low budget that manifests itself with graphics and animations not at the state of the art. Nevertheless, the specialized critics have always appreciated the quality of hand illustrations and stories and how the latters are integrated with the point and click mechanics. I refer you to the Wikipedia page to see the numerous Daedalic productions.

There is a funny thing about me and reviews - I enjoy writing them a lot, but when it comes to reading others opinions on the game, it can be a problem for me. I caught myself on a thought, that sometimes what I see in the reviews, especially when it comes to influent magazines and websites, can make me feel like “wtf did I just read?” and it drives me crazy. Like, sometimes, people can see a comparison between two completely different games just because it has a little bit of similarity in a game’s idea and plot, but in general, it’s freaking opposite products, which will never stay on the same line.

Take Control

Take Control

Welcome to the future! The golden age of genetic engineering!

After many years of human DNA research, the head of Change The Future Corporation offered the world transgenic implants that pushed the boundaries of human capabilities.

Telekinesis, pyrokinesis, X-ray vision from the comic book pages have become reality.

New abilities shook up the order of things. The army is expecting perfect soldiers. Companies are issuing an ultimatum for their employees to be modified.

Anyone with enough money can purchase an implant that will give them a “superpower” from the constantly expanding list.

Scientific progress leads to an increase in unemployment and the discontent of ordinary people who refuse the implants. Modified criminals are appearing all over the world.

The police cannot control all the “superheroes”. However, the research of genes and the expansion of the list of abilities do not stop.

Change The Future Corporation makes a statement about creating its own security unit that would protect the interests of the company from the most aggressive opponents of modification.

Soon after a new security detachment takes on the responsibility of detecting and neutralizing criminals with superpowers. Its name is DNM (Detachment for Neutralization of the Modified).

You are an operative of Change The Future Corporation, who received an experimental ability to control other people’s consciousness after voluntarily undergoing genetic modification.

You arrive at the corporation’s training ground to pass the obstacle course to fully master the new modification.

Take Control is a single-player action game with puzzle elements. You take on the role of a DNM operative with the ability to control the minds of others.

Features of the game:

Your mind is your main weapon! When the ability is activated, time will stop, and you will switch to the tactical mode.

Study the situation and the environment, come up with a solution for a specific problem, capture your enemy’s mind and force them to execute your plan.

After exiting the tactical mode, the clock will start again, and you will find out whether the actions you chose will let you achieve success.

Use your ability to neutralize enemies!

Or to solve various tasks.

The World of the Future! Over the course of your playthrough you will get to experience an amazing world where the boundaries of the human body have been erased.

Use the environment! Fire-extinguishers, switches, terminals. You are surrounded by objects that can help you win.

Improve yourself! You can’t change your ability but you can improve it!

Advent Rising

Advent Rising

This review contains spoilers:

I played Advent Rising three or so times over the 30+ hours I’ve played it on Steam. I went through the first time saving Gideon’s fiancé, and the second time saving Gideon’s brother. This is really the only, somewhat, major choice in the game. At least on the surface. There are other surface level choices, but many of the actual choices the game notes happen during play - recorded to be used, presumably, in a sequel that never came.

It really only affects who accompanies you through the early game, and a portion of the post-credits game. The first time I played through legitimately and on normal difficulty. The second time I used a cheat to give Gideon infinite health and energy so I could take a bunch of screenshots without getting killed or running out of energy for the things I was trying to screenshot. The third time I went for the hardest difficulty and a legitimate play through.

spoilers to anyone who hasn’t played or seen it

Honestly, I enjoyed it. The story is what kept my attention; I’ve been wanting to play it since I first saw the trailer back in 2004. It struck my fancy because I was dying for something like Star Wars (I didn’t have a PC to play Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy).

I can see where they cut corners in the story; they were banking hard on it being a trilogy, but if certain things were fixed (namely the ending), Advent Rising could be a good standalone story. The parts that made me raise my eyebrow is the sections when Gideon got new powers - it was literally powers as the plot demanded it. I tried to rationalize it by saying that with each tragedy he suffered (the capture of his brother, the human race getting Death Balled, the high priest of the Aurelians getting stabbed in front of the council, and his girlfriend drowning), it triggered more of his potential. But the corner-cutting became more and more obvious.
