Unfortunately, at this price point I was expecting more. As “Santa” you would expect a little sleigh ride or to atleast get to go down the chimney :P. Instead you’re immediately placed in 1 room with limited amount of things to do. There are 3 things you can play with and the rest you just place whereever you please…… and that is it. I’d say all in all 1 mins max of gameplay for 9 euros…… There are full games out there at this price point. There is a lot you could do with this game but it’s way off from being “there yet”

Halloween Decoration Sandbox
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/HtzBA8PkgB8
While this app certainly has a certain charm as you can build your own Halloween map and then visit it in VR, it’s a bit too unpolished for me to recommend. I won’t refund it and I hope the developer can improve the end user experience, but it feels more like an alpha prototype than a real Halloween Decoration Sandbox experience.
VR support is very basic at the moment. It is KBM only, no motion controller support and only on the Oculus Rift. Even starting VR is more convoluted than it needs to be. You basically have to start the app in non-VR then choose free play mode and then put on your VR headset. As far as the editor (where you actually decorate), it is non-VR only. You can only use VR for your finished product experience.

BONEWORKS
BONEWORKS is one of the only fantastic games on vr right now, right next to Half Life: Alyx. if you dont own this and you have a vr headset… what are you even playing??????
honest question tho comment what you have been playing instead of boneworks id love to hear
a lot of vr games are plagued with the “only 3 - 5 hours long” syndrome and it makes wanting to spend 30 dollars non-existent.
BONEWORKS is literally NOT that. it took me about 12 - 15 hours to beat the story mode, and the rest is all sandbox baybeee

DreamFly
I’ve been waiting for a VR game like this, and now its finally here. The shaky screen that many people reference isn’t very bothering for me, and it only shakes occasionally, though it would be better if it was fixed. The ability to go to other islands after thinking they were just blobs to create scenery is a pleasant surprise. Id like to see what this game becomes, and maybe even different birds with different flying styles. The best part is that the game is free. I found that there was a heart shape in the map, and that there was a sphere in the sky, which I tried to reach, but once I got pretty close it seems like I was making no progress, so its safe to say that there is a limit on how far you can go upwards, and the sphere is outside of that limit.

19 sep ‘20: Wow the game has changed quite a lot! It’s much prettier! Also there are now these planets with gravitational force, which you can use as stepping stones to go higher and higher. I still experience what I wrote on the 14th of May. Because unlike before I cannot gain real speed anymore. You just can’t get high! Before you would gain speed once you got a little higher and higher, that was so cool and made flying so easy. Now it’s real hard work :-( This is my complaint now. It doesn’t feel like a dream-flight anymore, more like work-flight. For people new to this it must be hard to learn man…

Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades
Just noticed I never actually reviewed this fantastic game
To keep it basic: If you’re looking for a very detailed and lovingly crafted VR deep-dive into guns, their mechanics and how they work on particularly meaty (and sausage shaped) targets, then this game is for you. It might sound cheesy, but H3VR geniuenly taught me a lot of things about firearms, in an environment where you’re thankfully unable to actually hurt anyone (human that is, Hot-Dogs still get slaughtered)
So yeah, show Anton some love and get this game. Be it on the target-range, Take & Hold, Meat-Fortress or whatever wacky sidemode he introduces next, you’ll have a good time with it

Out of the minsicule amount of VR gun games I have played (which it’s like 2 idk), this is the best one I have played and consistently coming back to play it. The developer has been updating the game very often since its launch, and there are only more content from now on. Big props to the developer being so committed with this game and providing us with content for YEARS.
A lot of attention have been made so that each firearm (that are added) which the ones have unique quirks are also implemented in-game. The level of detail to each firearm is uncanny, and I find this game’s implementation of firearm mechanics is the most consistent and satisfying one out there.

Physics Sandbox VR
Its fun bu its so empty and you can fly with a glitch so there not that many things to do.

Pretty boring not much to do. I would recommend if it was like a buck but since it’s 4 bucks its not worth buying.

Deisim
One of if not THE ONLY “God game” I have ever played that is not another RTS borefest.
You do not have to build everything for the people and I love that!
You place land tiles in a seemingly infinite grid. Land tiles such as grasslands, Forests, Deserts, Oceans, and the such. Each prividing different resources for little humans who live grow and die all on their own.
The game is still being developed and will continue to get better as the dev Myron continues to expand and advance the game.
Simply put, this is the first real God game!
– Real player with 31.0 hrs in game
It’s neither Black and White nor Populous, but that’s okay because Deisim actually manages to carve out it’s own identity as a God game somewhere in between. Actually, on the surface Deisim kind of makes me think of Godus, except this is actually a good game. And in fact, one mind blowing consideration is that even in its current Early Access stage, Deisim is already a better game than Godus, despite being made by just one guy.
So anyway, the emphasis is on the placement of land tiles that you use to shape the environment, which then leads to tribal villages popping up. The villages will then use the environmental resources you’ve placed to grow and prosper, and eventually evolve into small towns, leading to more believers and more mana. Although indirect interaction is mainly how you grow your world, direct interaction is possible too, such as picking up villagers and buildings, or casting spells directly on things to either help or hinder the villagers. Towns will inevitably begin to spawn heretics who if given too much leeway, will convert their town into a heretic faith, eventually causing them to wage wars of conquest on their neighbours. To deal with this, a good old dose of fire or locusts can convince the heretics the error of their ways and show them that yours is the true faith.

Excavator Simulator VR
As a operator myself (pipleline, Cat 349) I bought this out of pure curiosity never seeing anything like it. I was not disappointed. Especially at the price. Understanding that the game is very much so in development is key. But the shear possibilities are endless. The controls are true to pattern, Sandbox digging. I enjoy it
My thoughts on what could be fixed or changed:
1. collision with bucket and material, its very goofy sometimes. material bugging out of the bucket or just sliding out as if there is no weight or texture to it. As well as the bucket reacting with the ground. The response time needs to be quicker when it comes to the material changing. That causes the bucket to grab the ground and send you for a ride (Not fun in VR)

If you actually take a look about the developer you can see he did this game as Computer Science Senior Design project in 11 weeks. You can even view the project on Github https://github.com/MrJohnWeez/VR-Excavator-Simulator
I still decided to buy this and play around.
Besides the missing sounds, only annoyances I found were too sensitive controls when first grabbing the joysticks ingame, whole excavator started to wander around. This is also caused by missing physical response since you are just gripping your VR controllers. And when digging too big of chunk (which happens a lot because previously stated issue) the excavator starts bouncing(flying xD) around.

GunWorld VR
Best weapon mechanics I’ve ever experienced in a VR game. A lot of you will be comparing this to H3VR, I played both of them, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I don’t care what anybody thinks, nothing simulates the weight, feel and kick of firing a weapon better than Gunworld. It can feel a little clunky because it really tries to simulate the weight of carrying a weapon, and trust me, that shit is heavy IRL.

This is a pretty fun little shooter. huge selection of weapons and attachments. you can spend hours trying out all the weapons and just getting a feel for how each of them work. the interactions on each weapon is pretty cool, there’s so many of them. fire select, safety, load, unload, chambering, clearing, mag release, turning on and off attachments, down to even being able to individually load single rounds into a mag or chamber. the physics feel good and the SFX arnt too bad at all.
