Lucifer Awaits, Chump!

Pros:

Highly addictive and I found myself lost in time a bit the 2nd time I was playing it.

The Notes can be super hilarious (If you have a dark sense of humor)

Mod support to add your own characters (added few Horror Villains)

Sprite animations are excellent

Cons:

Wish it had more color

While the background music sounds a bit creepy it can be a bit dull in long play sessions

Repetitive sins (mod support option sorta fixed that for me however)

Bugs:

The game soft locked 2 times when i exited in full screen mode.

A great little game that allows you to hand out judgement on souls! once you work out what you are supposed to be doing but that’s part of the fun.

The game runs well and has a very dark sense of humour, with some LOL comments in the victims bio’s, a lot of thought has obviously gone into this game.

The game uses very little PC resources and I found myself jumping in and out to judge the damned….. I mean souls during coffee breaks, much better than minesweeper!

Overall, at such a low price it is worth having a look at, be careful though, you may get slightly addicted!

In the game you have to earn money. You can play on a crypto exchange, or just collect bottles on the street.

Money is an integral part of the gameplay; it is used to buy food, alcohol, cigarettes and other at a local small shop, as well as various things on the Internet’s shops.

All this is necessary to maintain the physical condition of the main hero at the proper level. You can no longer sit at the computer carefree, addictions interfere with this, and money is needed to quench them.

Your only friend is a white rat. Stroking it fur lifts your spirits a little.

Mechanics and features

  • A operating system on your pc

  • Trading on the gaming exchange

  • Collectiong of glass botles on the street to sell it on collection point

  • Food cooking

  • Ability to buy junk on the Internet and furnish a room with it

  • Music player in your phone, with an excellent selection of Russian post-rock

I’m not a big MC fan, so I’m always looking for a game that LOOKS like MC but with more muscle and a bigger challenge. However, this clone smacks of a college Computer Science project rather than a contender with the major players.

  • While Craftsman tries its best to imitate the original, it stops at the keyboard commands. ‘V’ to quit? ‘E’ to start? The ESC key does nothing, so if you think pressing it will call up the menu so you can escape this nightmare, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

This is my arachnophobia therapy… well, kinda. ;) Not a game for you if you love spiders or are a PETA member, everyone else should be able to get a good amount of enjoyment out of this.

One new level (including reworked versions of the two in Ignition), three new species (all of them nightmare fuel), and a couple more weapons - the pan rules, I hope we’ll be able to hit those jumping spiders out of the air with it. Maybe it’s already possible, I flinched every time to be honest.

Had this on my radar since the r/indiegaming post in (IIRC) Febuary, was already planning on buying this after playing Ignition, this was enough to ignore my “no pre-orders” rule.

I don’t know how to explain it, but this game was really awesome. You’re basically wandering around a house, finding and killing spiders. The spiders are also diverse, meaning there are actually multiple types. You can obtain several different type of ‘weapons’ to use, such as Clipboard, Revolver, Hair Spray & Lighter, Frying Pan, Shotgun. These aren’t the only items, and this doesn’t even include ‘Upgrades’ for them.

Throughout the game, you will have multiple objectives (written on the clipboard). I do have concerns of repetition and redundancy, however, each stage (before release) did have it’s own unique objectives. I’m definitely looking forward to this game’s release!

i have a few ideas for some spiders that could be added. here is a list:

venomous spider: a spider that is like the normal spider, but slightly green. it will go towards the player and “bite” them, which will slow you down for five-ten seconds.

a power for the queen spider: she will spawn two spiderlings when you attack her

camo spider: a spider that is slightly transparent, so they are harder to find and hit.

radioactive spider: a sort of “boss” spider, it is a lot bigger than the other spiders, and has a radioactive symbol on its back. it has three powers: 1) it can spawn random spider types, 2-3. 2) it can turn transparent like the camo spider. 3) it can spit poison, which will slow the player down for twice as long as the poison spider.

abselutely brilliant! i can not recommend more! also, it isnt really too scary with the spiders, and its not too disgusting either, very fun, lots of great fun to be had, hmm… no its just fun and fun and fun and its so good why are you even reading this?! JUST PLAY THE GAME OR ILL LIGHT YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE! only if theres spiders inside though :)

Eleven minutes in, and it makes no damn sense.

It is a mine-craft clone of sorts, with a pirate theme, but there seems to be no way to save a game, which really reduces it’s value. You also seem to start out with an infinite number of many resources, although torches don’t seem to work at all. I clicked a lot if keys, but of there is a way to craft, I have no clue what it would be. I checked the surprising short help list, and even what there was didn’t seem to work.

For example L is supposed to toggle my light, but it does nothing.

i pray to god this isnt a release, but a beta. if its a beta its salvageable. but currently it seems to be entirely creative with no ability to access inventory and gets very dark very fast. the movement is somehow jerky and laggy at the same time… and turning the camera or moving causes the entire screen to blur. dont bother trying to fix it in the options menu either. nothing is labeled, its just 4 sliders of undefined nonsense. i cant even use the top button in the play menu. if im doing something wrong please let me know but… currently its just bad.

Shakedown: Hawaii

Shakedown: Hawaii

Shakedown: Hawaii is the follow-up to Retro City Rampage.

Retro City Rampage (aka RCR) in my mind, was a sleeper hit of an indie. So how did VBlank manage to follow it up?

The gameplay in Shakedown: Hawaii is nearly identical to that of RCR, and so nearly instantly I felt quite comfortable with the controls. Mechanically the game seems rock-solid, which isn’t always something games of this nature get right, so it’s worthy of praise.

Shakedown: Hawaii sort of tones down the parodic elements that Retro City Rampage was known for by a lot, and while that might sound like a good thing since a common critique of RCR was how it was far too “in-your-face” about parodying pop culture of the 80s and 90s, I’m not so sure the comedy Shakedown: Hawaii goes for really “hits” all that often. Most of the jokes seem to elicit rolling eyes, rather than laughs.

A kiddie version of GTA2 with some business management.

Nice, easy, colorfull, pleasantly funny, sympathic.

Probably its very easy to identify with the maincharacter since he still lives in the 90s and is confronted with the modern business life. So its a great game for guys who played GTA 1 or 2 when it came out.

Further its not that hard like GTA was. You can’t die, you can restart every mission, you can get health on every corner, cops are kinda brainless, no long searching for special cars to sell, no blood (I am missing that!)… so Millenials will also have their fun from a different view without any big skills, effort or heart attacks.

Very close call on whether to recommend or not. I would ideally give it a neutral recommendation as there is something here, however, currently there are just too many issues for me to give this a positive recommendation. I experienced a game-breaking bug where I can’t get past the first level (mini-mart) after the latest update. I expect that issue to be fixed soon. This developer has been actively been updating this game since release back in November 2020. I have seen several improvements each time that I have played this game. However, although the game is better now, it still is clunky overall.

‘Line simulator’ is a funny cartoon-like VR game where you have to wait in line in every level like in a shop.

Some levels are located in shops and others in other places such as parties, but anyway, you will have to wait in a line of people anyway.

It is then up to you to decide how long you want to wait, throw cheeses or other items at the people in front of you until they give up their spot.

You will also have to do certain tasks, for example you will have to search and find items via dialogs or shopping lists.
