Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure

Was a fan of Scribblenauts Unlimited, so when I heard they were making a DC themed game, I preordered. Since then, I’ve played Unmasked many times, and until recently I hadn’t played Unlimited in years.

Unmasked is hands down the best DC game out there. While it doesn’t have every DC Comics character (The Penny Plunder and James Gordon Jr. are two omissions that immediately come to mind), it has most of them. There’s some really obscure characters in here; RUU-9-2, Salamanca, Kritter, Dragon King, etc. You can use the Batcompter to get information on them at anytime, although some of their profiles are a bit odd. (Computo’s entry is clearly about his New 52 version, but the character himself looks like his Pre-52 incarnation)

This is like a $40 DC Comics Database. They have almost every hero you can think of. The game ruined me from enjoying the others, though. This was my first Scribblenauts game. I bought it because I saw Smosh play it. xD

I suggest you start off from a different one, unless you’re a big DC fan like myself. However, it seems like people who start from Scribblenauts Unlimited tend to not like this one. I am an example of someone who started playing Scribblenauts with this game, and I don’t enjoy the others as much.

Vacancy Unlimited

Vacancy Unlimited

I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far. Vacancy Unlimited is made in the Unity engine, and as of day one of launch, is still in a rather primitive state, with a fair amount of placeholder art and missing some sound effects - as expected of an early access title.

The soundtrack is enjoyable to listen to, reminds me of Duke Nukem 2 and Wrack. The gameplay has a nice balance of relaxing as you search for weapons and ammo before the frantic hordes come upon you (usually in tight spaces) just before the end of the level. Rounding a corner before being ambushed by several gun-wielding enemies usually means your death, leading these engagements to be the most tense.

This is a fun game, but a hard game. You’ll find yourself pleasantly challenged and enjoying this fantastic old school/new school blend of FPS.

Developer needs to include a damage locator to let us know where the enemy is shooting us or hitting us from though. Without it, the game’s difficulty is brutal. I’m eager to see a more refined version of it. I’m also going to check out the dev’s earlier work.

Be careful not to get lost, don’t let the embers go out.

it’s good, legit i bought it because i thought the developer put a bunch of time into the game to make it look good, but then when i bought it, it was great and when i beat the game 100% (just now) i wanted a second one but there isn’t so i was kinda disappointing, but if they ever make a second one i’d get it happily which i want them to do.

Hey there! If you enjoy short and sweet reviews, follow my curator page here! I am an independent Curator providing reviews and insights to the games that need the spotlight! Thank you! :)

I got the chance to play Street Hero back when it was introduced as a demo for the Steam Game Festival and I thought it showed tremendous promise. Especially if you consider that this is the first game released by DD Games , a Game Studio from Vietnam managed by one authentic Hero! A one man band!

Poly Gangs

Poly Gangs

PolyGangs: A 3-person sandbox world action game in LowPolly style. A gangster simulator in a large American city. Heater will be able to choose whether to become a felon or an undercover policeman. The action of the game takes place in the fictional city of Lopolis, where gang wars are commonplace and the police always start shooting first.

In the game, we have the entire city at our disposal, along with the surrounding areas that we can freely explore. The game world is full of places and situations with which we can interact. As a gangster, our task will be to take over local businesses, robberies, trafficking in illegal goods, killings and various other criminal activities, often with slight frostbite and a good dose of humor.

In the game we will be able to choose which gang we will be a member of, we will choose from: Italian, Chinese, Irish, Russian, Jewish, Mexican. We will start the game as a minor criminal and lead the gang during the development of the game. It will be up to the player to choose a criminal path or to investigate the gangs as an undercover policeman.

The main elements of the game are driving a cars, chases, shootings, assaults, assassinations, the development of our hero and other gang members, and the management of the criminal business. We will be able to use various vehicles from motorcycles, through passenger cars to trucks, we will have a wide range of weapons, from knives to firearms to rocket launchers. Our hero and gang members will be able to gain new skills such as speed, strength, resistance, and charisma.

The world in PolyGangs is very dynamic, full of characters who often have very unpredictable behavior and physical objects that react to collisions and interact, introduce an element of chaos and fun.

The production will appear on Windows, Android, and IOS platforms.

LouveSystems' TrackMasters

LouveSystems' TrackMasters

This game probably takes greater inspiration from Lego Stunt Rally (2000) more than Micro Machines like it says on the store page. Even the pieces look similar. But I’d consider that a positive, the thumbs down is just because it’s a very very low content game right now with no single player offerings unless you count opening an online lobby and playing with bots. The UI is also very abstract as to cause confusion. Everything else is your-mileage-may-vary and probably comes off much better in a party environment that I can’t really test with no one to play it with, like the car physics and narrow roads causing a lot of crazy bumbling.

Project META

Project META

Such a fun superhero game, perfectly fufills several superhero power fantasies from web slinging to shooting fire from your hands to super strength and flight. You know that scene where superman punches his foe into the sky and hit them a couple more times, only to zip around in front of where they’re flying towards only to smack them to the ground? You can do that, and it feels WAY cooler than you think.

It is still in early development and I am SUPER excited to be there every step of the way as this game grows and develops.

If you would like to feel like superman and send enemies flying, this game is for you! This game really makes me feel like a super hero and you can actually have a selection of many more powers and it will keep growing! The graphics are good and will improve over time I can bet because the single dev is listening to the players! You have a variety of enemy types to choose from and the level selection is decent.

This game has so much potential, just give it time and you will love it!

Treasures of the Aegean

Treasures of the Aegean

Terrific exploration, action, visuals and music.

It would be my GOTY if not for some irritations, the main one I’ll detail for your benefit.

The game is not a puzzle-platformer, rather a precision platformer on the clock with imprecise controls.

At the core is a time loop, a feature du jour with no added value for the player, only drawbacks such as interrupting your exploration, ruining your current progress, forcing you to take breaks, revisit the same places and redo the same parkours again and again and again. And maybe again.

Real player with 24.6 hrs in game

Very enjoyable game. Fast moving platform adventure - perfect for a Saturday afternoon!

Nice comic-book visuals, evocative soundtrack, interesting gameplay challenges, flowing movement controls.

What I love is that the game doesn’t hold your hand. No AAA-style objective markers here. The game reveals itself to you over time through exploring the map and uncovering the plot, puzzles and goals. It doesn’t get too obscure or head-scratching.

Gentle Club

Gentle Club

Gentle Club is a fighting simulator inspired by Hollywood movies, distinguished by the choreographed stunts the players perform while fighting in dynamic and destructible environments.

Players will be able to interact with the environment (use a broken bottle to slice the opponent, break the window of an airplane and depressurize the cabin, throw any kind of objects on the opponent).

At the end of the fight, the players would have the opportunity to see the scene again in the form of an action scene.
