Rogues Adventure

Rogues Adventure

Rogues Adventure (Tiny Adventure?) is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam. This one has you jumping around maze-like 2D puzzle levels collecting coins etc. The usual.

They chose to use obsolete retro pixel “art” as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It’s unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC.

Wormster Dash

Wormster Dash

A short and sweet platformer that requires you to learn and perfect. This game is essentially a single level from Rayman. No real replayablility (apart from simply beating it again and again) but it’s one you can play, beat and be done with.

The mechanics are simple and require little expaination (I will say that I was quite fond of how the tutorial was given), this is a game that you must play, lose, retry until you eventually get there.

The art speaks for itself. Unique and eye drawing. The world is quite beautiful. I found that I wanted to character to just stop running and let me soak up the visuals for a little while.

Definitely try out this game!

Pros:

  • Absolutely beautiful visuals and soundtrack that compliments the gameplay.

  • Provides a good 1-3 hours of very enjoybale gameplay.

  • Amazing price.

  • 4 optional charcters ( only visually different).

  • Ending that is definitely worth reaching.

Cons:

  • Replayability is low, although the low prize does make up for this.

Good job everyone at Gamelab and I am very ecited to try out your upcoming project: Sir Plump

Escape from the Cosmic Abyss

Escape from the Cosmic Abyss

Great game to play on those short pauses in our busy rotine. The controls are very responsive and the game is imenselly fun to play with it’s twists on this classic mechanic. Once you begin playing a level, you’ll want to play it until you beat it, and after you beat all the levels you even get an arcade and a speedrun mode. Guaranteed fun with this one and really worth it for the price.

God save us from button-mashers, meaningless and merciless.

P. S. All the achievements work, 2/4 require some macro approach.

Caveman

Caveman

Caveman is a basic templete flip for an auto runner/platformer game. They copied a game template, changed some sprites, dumped it on Steam in the hopes it would return more money than they paid flipping assets for it.

Pure garbage. Like if you even read this review I made, you probably are in trouble. This game is so bad, if you’re reading reviews for it, you need help. DM me I guess? You’re never alone. Look after yourself. There is hope.

This is just bad, don’t pay money for this.

Looks like someone made their first game in an auto game generator and tried to sell it for a quick buck.

Crap controls, annoying music, annoying generic stock art, annoying everything.

The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same

Fun/Frustrating, just fly over all the level if you don’t want to do the bonus stuff? Make sure you actually scream in real life to get the secret score bonus
