Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst
One of the main reasons why I finally laid my hands on Mirror’s Edge Catalyst only in the end of 2021 is that I laid my dick (metaphorically, of course) on the first rule of the multimedia consumer: never trust other’s opinion. There were so much hate, so many complaints about this game—and while I still love the original Mirror’s Edge, I thought Catalyst was not worth my attention, since so many people said it was a total crap. Besides, there’re always many other games, so I can’t say I was bored or have been missing Faith so much. But finally I bought Catalyst, mostly thanks to many ASMR videos on YouTube with amazing views and sound ambience from the game. And you know, I’m not dissappointed. Not a bit. Certainly, I understand that a pure parkour game can be not very satisfying, especially a year after Dying Light came out. But Mirror’s Edge never was a complex multi-aspect game—it was always a stylish speed running entertainment with an amazing audiovisual component. It’s simple by its nature, and that’s really good, when you just want to switch your brain off and relax, while getting aesthetical enjoyment.

Gimmick in the Chaos Dimension is a delightful romp back to the times of coin-op arcade games. Times where you put in a quarter, went until you died, then did it again. Except now there’s also skills that you can level up between games! Nothing could stop me from unlocking every achivement. I streamed it for hours. There’s even record keeping of your best runs! I can’t wait to see what they do next, and look forward to the next Gimmick game!

Hunter Girls
### Run, girls, run!
A good runner in which we control three characters at once. Each character has their own abilities, so you will have to choose tactics depending on the enemies.
Hardcore is present - it is necessary to get into timings, and this is sometimes very difficult.
Overall, a pretty good timekiller

The game is great, reminded of platformers on Nintendo.
It’s rare when a platformer has a plot, but here it’s interesting.
I advise everyone

Cloud Escape
What started as a simple game jam project transformed into a full-fledged video game. Cloud Escape is a stylized 3D precision platformer where every mistake will be punished. The game world features different themed areas, each of which offers unique scenery, mechanics, obstacles and traps. Are you destined to escape the clouds?
2 Game Modes
The goal is the same in both game modes: reach the end as fast as possible! In Normal Mode, you can simply focus on reaching the end. In Hard Mode, on the other hand, the gate in front of the end is locked. Collect all coins to unlock the gate and then reach the end.
For Dedicated Players
You love the challenge and want to put your skills to the test? Countless traps and obstacles await you in the different areas. The world of Cloud Escape offers platforming, moving platforms, physics puzzles, projectiles, flamethrowers, blades, saws, spectral phenomena, bumpers and much more.
For Speedrunners
For all players who like to constantly improve their best time: Cloud Escape was also developed for speedrunners. In addition to a death counter, the game also has a very precise timer. Run by run, you optimize your routes and discover new possibilities to further optimize your personal best time.
Unlock More Characters
Master difficult challenges to unlock more characters. Be ready, hardcore players! Because the elite characters are especially hard to unlock!
Unlock Steam achievements
The game is packed with fun and challenging Steam achievements. Can you collect them all?
Geometry May. I swear it’s a nice free game
Geometry May is a nice prequel to Maytroid where May only begins her adventure.
Gameplay is great as always - for a runner game you actually have a lot of freedom in controls allowing for some cinematic combat moments. The game isn’t that difficult aside from couple extra stages after finishing the main campaign.
The meat of the story in this game lies in Journal. You can unlock May’s diary using points you collected (you can also spend them to unlock ecchi pictures (and there is a patch for them)). Diary describes how May got from an awkward teenager arguing with her father to where she is now - fighting some Lovecraftian monsters in other realms (some parts are still a mystery as there is a big gap between the date on the last diary note and the start of the game). I would call this game “May’s Origin”.

PixelGreeds is one of those indie devs I can’t help but admire. Their work isn’t anything that redefines genres. But their work is filled with an irrepressibly earnest energy. Whatever mechanic they’ve figured out, PixelGreeds cannot wait to apply that knowledge into the very best game they can make. As such, their work is always evolving and improving with each subsequent release, and that’s really all I expect from a game designer honing the craft. Geometry May is a solid run n' gun title precisely because it does not muddle itself by trying to be anything more.

Aspect
This is a cool and simple game. It’s fun to play and quite challenging. I recommend it.
– Real player with 25.0 hrs in game
Judging by the description and the screenshots, Aspect seemed like a game with a lot of promise. Sadly, as neat as the game’s premise might be, any sense of enjoyability is hampered by its poor design.
Gameplay
The most significant issue with Aspect is its horrible collision detection, where instead of the actual boundaries of the player being considered, the player is treated as a rectangle. As a result, collision detection is hit and miss and you’ll never surely know if you are going to make the jump or pick items up. This causes the game to be very punishing, but for all the wrong reasons. Also, having to repress Enter every time to restart the game doesn’t help the flow either.

Run or Die
This is on the cautious side of positive, as I don’t really think the game is great (the endless runner portion by itself would probably get a negative review from me) but I do like it in concept and there is a lot to like here. 4 of the 5 skills feel pretty good and polish, as do the overall controls. The level design focused around these skills is pretty good too, especially in the challenges, most of which provide a very precision-platformer kind of gameplay, not going on too long and never really asking for too high a level of precision, while also providing the optional challenge of collecting for ranks.

TL;DR – This game should be called Buy or Die. Why? Because even at full price it costs less than a junk food menu.
–————————————————————–
As a non-casual player of the genre, Run or Die caught my attention very fast, and I was sure I’d grab it when it had any sort of discount.
The game is basically what you see in the trailer: a RNG side-scroller where your main character has multiple skills to help her avoid obstacles and trying to reach the ending (is there really an end, actually? :P).

Hunter Girl
Rating / Bewertung: 01/10
English:
Game installs problem-free on Windows 10.
At the start of the game, the first problem comes to light:
you are immediately in the game - without any possible volume settings etc.
Also no help, which functions there are in the game …
You are constantly playing in the same screen area and can only click left or right to change direction or to shoot around there, with the figure itself running in the previously selected direction within the screen area, which is why you find death quickly and often, especially since the opponent is simply short show up without warning. So a very chaotic control and programming.
