Night Rogue
This was a pretty unique and interesting short game. I have to say that I don’t really like stealth games, but there is something about this game… I liked it so very much. So you sneak around as a Thief/Rogue and break into places and steal loot. You gotta think as a thief too, as at times the front door is locked. The music is perfect for night stealth activities!
So the game isn’t overly challenging (phew!), but it is satisfying. You also don’t have to kill anyone too. I like the idea of a peaceful thief. There is also an older man, a Fence and their relationship works out, showing the truth of how it actually is supposed to be. Oh and Thomas looks pretty good too, so kudos. I like the sprite design. :D

Codex Temondera: Lost Vision
Overall pretty okay RPG maker game, the system that being used is interesting, but there are some other aspect that might be a turn down as well.
Pros :
-
Good character art.
-
Interesting loot mechanic & skill system for RPG maker game.
-
Kinda difficult but still manageable.
Cons :
-
Starting area and other area that with less light actually truly almost pitch black (almost can’t see anything, kinda annoying).
-
Some area way too big (Like norwich & the wilderness), which turn into wasted resource since don’t have much content inside the area.

Lost Vision is an RPGMaker game where all of the work seemed to go into the graphics, but the rest is bad. The battle system is a complete pray to the RNGGoddess that anything goes your way at all. Here is a list of the issues I ran into in the game:
-The starting area is way too dark. There is no need to make the game so dark that even on max brightness on my monitor I can’t see where I’m going.
-The first mandatory battle is too hard. Its 2 vs 3 (you got 2 they got 3) and if the RNG hates you prepare to do it again and again. My first attempt I missed 5 of 7 attacks.

Dead Dreams
This is more of a neutral review.
Interesting game, seems like it has some good ideas and promise, though I personally found it difficult to keep track of all the details of what was going on. Like I got a vague idea of the story… Apparently there are 3 endings but I’m not motivated enough to check them out.

Listen, if you play this game. Play it for an hour or two, and stop. Just stop. The game starts uniquely frightening–despite the exaggerated loud noises everywhere–I’ll give them that they have excellent disturbing imagery and characters you would see in your nightmares.
Beyond that, I absolutely hate the story, yet I know nothing about it. I played this game fully, read aloud all of the dialogue–despite the frequent misspellings and “it is damn”. But I can’t figure out what happened in this story. And if I wanted to go back and try to figure it out, I can’t. Why? Because one of the three endings I got cleared my saves. All of them. Correction, if I load the one save it has left for me, it’s the credits. You will beg for the credits the entire last hour of the game hoping “oh god, is it over yet?” I just don’t know what this story is. Outside the horror elements, it reminds me of a fantasy a 13 year old would write after playing Silent Hill and watching the Matrix.

The Deed
You play as Arran Bruce, part of a noble dynasty which goes back hundreds of years, and you’ve returned to the family home, Dunshiel House. It’s a place which doesn’t hold many happy memories for you growing up. It’s a miserable night, the raining is siling down and you’ve got to face your family whom you’ve not seen for many years. It’s your father’s fiftieth birthday but it’s not the real reason you’ve decided to come back to the family home.

Meet the Bruce family. Son, Arran, soon to be disinherited (usurped by his sister) with murder on his mind. Father, Malcolm, violent tempered, oppressive, abusive. Mother, Gloria, in deep and utter denial of the dysfunctional Bruce family. Sister, Jennifer, violent, cruel, insane and about to die. Dunshiel House staff: one butler and one maid/cook.
A classic “who-dun-it” from the murder’s point of view.
Storyline: Estranged Arran Bruce returns home for his father’s 50th birthday with the sole purpose to murder his sister, Jennifer. Motive: Money, of course. The father, Malcolm, is about to disinherit him in favor of his sister. The question is: How to commit murder and still walk away a free man. 10 murder weapons, and 5 other people who can take the blame, assuming one does not get caught. Of course, there is always the “mysterious” intruder too. (Lizzie Borden will have good company if one manages that.)

The Deed: Dynasty
Apparently, the Bruce family is just plain murderous, and somehow they’ve managed to pass their bloodlust along to subsequent generations. TDD improves upon the original game by offering three different scenarios that take place in different time periods. As with the original game, your goal is to successfully murder your target while framing someone else for the crime. Talking to different people and examining your surroundings provides you with the information you need in order to get away with murder; it’s just a matter of selecting the right evidence/murder weapon and bringing everything together during questioning.

The Deed is a murder mystery, except this time you’re the Murderer and you have to get away with it! If you enjoy the idea of making the perfect kill, evading and fooling the police and getting away scott free, then you should take a closer look at this game.
This release was a quite a suprise to me, I enjoyed the first game, but never expected a sequel. Fortunately its a good suprise, and anyone who enjoyed the first game will enjoy this game, with more refined gameplay and three scenarios to play instead of one.

This and more in Tiranogg, a 15-hour romp with heavy Celtic vibes and a Dragon Quest inspired battle system!
Studio Loregard’s debut indie game is a love letter to the classic games of the ‘golden era’ of Japanese Role-Playing Games (or jRPG for short). A labour of love constructed by a lone, passionate developer with nearly a decade of experience, Tiranogg hopes to recapture that good old feeling of playing a late-era SNES or PSX game right on your PC.

DashBored
Dashbored captured my heart.
I don’t say this lightly. I had this game in my library from the giveaway, and I went in and started playing it only a few days ago, not expecting much. RPG Maker games, bar Yume Nikki and a few others, usually don’t tend to have stellar qualities.
But what I ended up getting into blew me away. Dashbored made me laugh, made me cry and just simply appreciate it as a work of art that hit home and I resonated with for some of the topics that it delves into.
The writing in Dashbored is probably its biggest strength.

Alright! Finally! I defeated all 3 endings, and I think I can finally review this very enjoyable game! I’ll do the best I can to not spoil the game for those who wanna experience it for themselves, so here we go! Also on a sidenote, if this review is too lengthy, I apologize for that; it’s just that this game is one of my favorite RPG games I ever bought on Steam, and there is so much enjoyment and dedication I’ve witnessed and played through to see from this game, so there’s a lot to tell why I think this is a really good game that deserves more appreciation.

Mad Father
I got hooked on these games in high school after playing IB. I’ve always enjoyed Mad Father, such a beautiful art style. (✿ ♥‿♥)
In this wonderful and lavish house, what could go wrong? You play as absolutely adorable 11 year old, Aya. She wakes up at night and hears her father scream in terror. Instead of calling 911 or attempting to escape, she instead goes to investigate the basement where he is always working.
It’s a cute but spook spook puzzle game. It’s not going to give you nightmares but the atmosphere is incredibly chilling. I found myself questioning humanity after this.

Chronicle of Daneya
This is a fun old-school RPG. The battles use a turn-based system and is pretty basic. The story is excellent. What makes this game so enjoyable and more challenging is there are so many achievements, and in order to get them all you have to make certain decisions of which paths you’ll go. There are three different endings, but there are also different paths for you to take to get to those endings. I appreciate that the developer answered my questions and fixed a couple minor bugs so quickly. If you enjoy exploration over fighting and/or are a completionist, this is definitely worth your time.
