Legends of Amberland: The Forgotten Crown
Of all the dungeon crawler games that followed the template set by Wizardry (grid-based, first-person perspective), Might and Magic is probably the second most important one in terms of renown, forging its own path from the very first game by basically using the ideas from Wizardry but offering something different and unique.
Where Wizardry was a dungeon crawler, Might and Magic games were basically world crawlers that emphasized exploring a large overworld at the expense of in-depth and intricate dungeons. Might and Magic does have them, but they are often simple structures with few vertical levels and really there to throws lots of monsters at you, not get you lost in them.

This game is that little nugget of gold you find in the lees. First thing I thought when I fired it up was Might & Magic 3,4, and 5-arguably my favorites. Imagine if MM had a really easy interface and user friendly controls. The menu swapping is nice and fast, simple clicks to rearrange and sort. The game play isn’t tedious.
-The good-
You can tell the art (despite the lack of animation) is quite nice and does a good job to capture that old fantasy wonderment. It’s pixeled but the graphics are just it’s painting on the car. It’s pretty colorful and you can easily tell what things are. Pretty good variety of character portraits for both male and female.

Wizardry 8
This game is a solid bargain even at today’s full price or higher.
Negatives:
Graphics are badly dated, but this kind-of disappears as you get into the game. They are adequate to show you what is going on so you can choose strategies and tactics.
When starting the game, the screen remains black for an unusually long time. This can lead new players into thinking something is wrong and pushing Esc or other keys to try to “unstick” it. This can ruin the game loading. Just be patient and the game will load reliably every time.

I want a modern version of this.
I played grimlock and did not like the puzzly stuff.
w8 the puzzels make the game easier. They dont generally block your progress.
the character construction is pretty deep.
the party integration is pretty deep.
the party fight mechanics are pretty deep.
they all fit together creating enough variety to change the way the game plays.
the content of the game is sparse and has a sort of empty feel….but that isnt a bad thing here.
what happens is that subsequent playthoughs are faster.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire
This game is awesome! I am replaying it after a few months playing other games right now and giving the turn based system a try. it is great. the combat is different if you play turn based or real time with pause so you can experience two different game styles. i think that it would be a lot better if you had both in one play-through but then again by not having it they make different stats more important for different modes. like dex is more important in RTWP and is absolutely useless in turn based mode, unless you just want to go first every round.

Arcante
Somehow reminds me of Might and Magic 6 (although others might say it more resembles M&M 9 ?)
Anyway, there were multiple games of this genre (first person, fantasy world exploring, party based RPG)
Probably a rare genre nowadays.
We all know turn-based party-wise crawlers, or top-down RPGs.
Arcante feels like a variation, that wants to keep the action (free movement) of the M&M 6, but at the same time modernize the clunky spell casting (which required the player to pause the game, even with memorized / active spell, to get the upper hand).

This game has the the old Might and Magic vibe. Could use a bit more content, more quests, characters, and story but I am enjoying some nostalgia. If you are looking for an old fashion romp through fantasy ville give it a try.
Finished it up. Took ab out 9 hours. Didn’t find a use for the bird head statue or the second city riddle, but the ending was…interesting. Still mostly enjoyed it despite some quirks. Very old fashioned might and magic approach to the genre, but it was a fun romp down memory lane. To the creator, good luck and I hope you are successful enough to try again.

Augmented Future
The concept was intriguing, but I didn’t like the pseudo real-time combat. The timers are way too fast: there’s almost no time to click (much less think).
The interface is clunky: lots of waiting for text or buttons to load, for instance. I did play around with the settings and improved the speed as best I could, but waiting for components to load in such a minimalistic interface just feels bad.
There were also some basic bugs, like superimposed buttons.
Bottom line for me: if I’m going to play a game that ditches graphics for the sake of gameplay, I want the interface to be very good, and not something I feel like I’m fighting.

Chronicles of Elmyra
I’m changing my decision back to a positive about this game as I got in contact with the developer of where I’m getting stuck at and they are working on solutions to fixing the glitched areas as we speak. The game is great as well as the story and I can go back to recommending this game and that it is worth the money now. Thank you for contacting me 4p0 Informatica.

Dreams Of The Elements
Met the dev at a convention, purchased the game before returning home to play it. So far I am having a blast, but I will make another review or update this one after finishing it :)

Dungeon Tactics
A retro style party based RPG smashing together concepts from several of my favorite games!
Build a party of 6 characters combining active, passive, and reactive skills from 40 different classes.
Explore the dungeon to protect the people of Airi from the secret threat contained within.
Avoid many traps set in place to hinder your progress.
Elmarion: the Lost Temple
A wonderful dungeon crawler, a bit like might and magic. A beautiful world, endless dungeons, and crowds of monsters - everything we love. But there is no turn-based combat (although they promise to add at the time of release). There is no big map. Unobvious increase in levels. And what I don’t like is that you can’t make a save. But in general it is quite an interesting and enjoyable game.

⭐️I do not even know. It seems like a cool game. But there are also enough cons. Some things, of course, are debatable. But here’s my vision:
⭐️Pros:
1. A fairly rare genre of party RPG in the first person. I haven’t seen such games for a long time.
2. Generation of dungeons. The idea is not new. But I was glad that it was implemented here.
3. A sufficient number of heroes to choose from, a large number of abilities of the heroes. You can make a variety of games and potentially play the game several times.

Fateholder Quest
Cute, linear game that kept me interested. Nice little combat system too.

Turn based, but not bad even for me as a person who doesn’t care for turn based. Cute, and kinda addicting, Makes you want to continue playing only issue with that is that it is very short.
