TOKOYO: The Tower of Perpetuity
Very good daily run roguelite tower climber. The lack of a primary attack and reliance on a single slow-recharge bomb makes the entire thing feel a lot more like a danmaku game than a platformer. Characters are pretty diverse and have completely different styles of bomb attack which leads to needing to play them in completely different ways. Using the foxgirl you need to hold back and allow the missiles to home, while the maid boy (cute) needs to get very close and whack into enemies. Powerups being random and tied to player corpses makes each run feel just unique enough to make you change up your playstyle, but the powerups are weak enough that succeeding in a run still feels like a test of skill instead of luck.

even though it’s in early access game you can still enjoy what the game offers! the gameplay is very fun even without a “normal attack” as you journey through the tower you learn you use your skill better and find better items to assist you.
the graphics are amazing and the pixel art style just has a unique charm that just makes everything so cute! the game reminds me of older arcade games I used to play
the game easily worth $10 and can offer tons of fun.
the social features are very fun and I hope that they get expanded on more!

Plague Breaker
Was addicted after 5 minutes. Beat the game on hard with all characters and I don’t normally play these types of games but this was fun attempting to unlock as much as possible. Don’t pass this up if you enjoy rougelike games.

Plague Breaker is a really cool roguelike game based on games like castlevania. It’s got a cool class system that I enjoyed, item pickups similar to Issac, and level and item randomizations. It’s a pretty fun game and even has co-op. A few of the class choices can be traps that don’t work well if you aren’t paying attention to the items you have or don’t have likely access too based on your difficulty, but as long as you avoid that, most play styles you choose can adapt fairly well.
I requested this game on keymailer because it looked awesome and it was.

Betrayer: Curse of the Spine
Okay, let me start out by saying that i actually REALLY LIKE this game. I played through the demo multiple times since hearing about it a couple of months ago, and was excited when it came out 3 days ago and have been playing it as much as i can since. But with all of that being said…this game definitely has some bugs/issues & and is SO CLOSE to being absolutely great…that i hate having anything negative to say about it in this “review” for it.
First things first: PLAY THE DEMO (which is actually pretty long) BEFORE BUYING THIS GAME.

Taivas
Lucky me gets to write the first review of Taivas, and it’s a dubious honour.
Taivas is an abandoned Early Access 2D retro pixel platformer/asset flip. It was created by flipping assets and a 2D platformer template from the godawful IFAction game construction kit. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers.

Abalyte
This is a wonderful game, its small but tough.
Info I have discovered via playing, beyond this point.
If you don’t mind game overs, a terrific amount of game overs, then its the right game for you. You can get pretty far, and have great runs at the Three collection levels and Three boss levels (1). There are a great many weapons to discover (2) as you battle vicious creatures (3).
(1) (a) SlimeBall (HP 50) ; It releases hordes of Slimes and punches you for a cross map knock-back and deals 5 damage.

EDIT:
The devs seem to be listening to the community really well. Lots of improvements have happend, the sarcastic remarks are gone, the tree is possible and theres some actual progression to look forward to and plenty in game where you can see that effort is being made.
This game went from a disaster with no real direction to a playable and enjoyable experience
For a free game id give it 7/10 now. Once we see more levels in play, more weapons to choose from, more stats or even spells i think this’ll be a decent semi-rouge like. Id like to see more chances for healing, more combat than just watch the enemies drop and fight carefully. The bigger maps before were nice, but i think a healthy medium would be perfect.

Rising Hell
If you’re browsing reviews and trying to figure out if this game is worth your time and money then here is a quick answer for you: YES. It’s a must have game for anyone who enjoys action packed platformers!
What attracted me when I first saw this game was its overall concept. I will keep it simple for you: you control a demonic creature who’s mission is to escape Hell. And you gotta love the devs take on Hell in this game. It’s basically a vertical tower-like place which you have to ascend in order to make your way out of this demons infested nightmare. Pretty creative in my opinion. So I guess that makes it a vertical action platformer where you fight through hordes of demons trying to ascend higher and higher.

I’ve been eyeing this game for a while, waiting for it to enter full 1.0 release. I bought it immediately, and so far, I am so, so impressed.
The core controls are simple: you have your attack, you have your jump (which doubles as a cool aerial finisher), and you have your i-frame dash. It’s simple, but it works; movement and attacking is buttery smooth, and opens up the real core of the game: the platforming and movement. The platforming and environmental design is simply wonderful. You’ll be double-jumping and wall-clinging around as you endlessly climb upwards, using enemies to bolster your height as you dodge saw blades, spikes, and burrowing thorns. As a huge platforming fan, I’m very pleased to see it have such a strong place in the core game design, especially on special zones like the Slaughter Spire, which has you rushing upwards using enemies as platforms while a row of saws rises quickly beneath you. It’s challenging, it’s frenetic, and, most importantly, it’s a ton of fun. It’s also worth mentioning the aesthetic is great, too - backgrounds, enemies, and traps are very detailed without becoming cluttered or unclear.
