Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God
ONLY ON PLAYSTATION
Remember PlayStation Vita? No? Well… you’re not alone. Many people don’t. And that’s the problem. Even though SONY reclaimed their fans with PlayStation 4, which is pretty much the only console on the modern market with both decent hardware and strong video games library, Vita ended up being forgotten and obsolete. Let’s not go too deep into the commercial stuff, though. Even though it’s completely beyond me how Nintendo can sell so many Switch units while it has even less games than Vita. Anyway, the important thing is – there were some publishers, who did their very best to support Vita. And since Vita failed… it felt like all those nice titles were supposed to sink with it. Thankfully, IF-chan (Idea Factory) decided to do their very best again. This time by porting all those Vita titles to personal computers. For everybody to enjoy. Naturally, here comes another one.

Beta Tester Here,
This might look like a cute story and it is but it can be at certain points hmm…creepy?disturbing? when dealing with people whom you know have a screw loose in the head. Some themes can include stalking as comedy so if you are uncomfortable with that, you have been warned.
I think the opening starts off pretty depressing and can be relatable to many people…
You’ll soon find an urgency to roaming the dungeouns in search of spices. There are many points I found laughing and embrassing(you’ll soon see why) to read it. To say anymore would be to ruin the chances of you enjoying it but I can still say the writing of the story is the strongest point of this game. The cutscenes are done in a visual novel way.

Alchemic Dungeons DX
Last week I bought the original Alchemic Dungeons on 3DS. Then just yesterday I found out this came out and bought it immediately. It is challenging and fair. Every time I died it was because I screwed up and didn’t use the right tactic. I love this game and I plan on playing it many many hours.

Criminally underrated game.
While it looks simple and generic and starts very easy, the final 3 dungeons offer a good challenge. While it seems like a relatively generic roguelike, the crafting system does add a lot of depth to resource management, and while it looks simplistic it will keep you on your toes. I also think the UI is reallly good and easy to sue when you get used to it .
It also has a lot of distinct classes (8 initially with a secret one to)

Dungeon Limbus
Rogue-lite port from Nintendo Switch, that gets better the longer you play it.
My only complaint is you cannot return to a previous floor from your saved game.

This was a hard one to rate. Some of the fundamentals are really good here. Enemies have different ways of moving and reacting to the player, which is nice. Gear drops seem decent enough. Graphics are pleasing and music and sound effects are passable.
Yet…if there’s magic, I had yet to find it after getting to the dessert section. Perhaps it unlocks, as every time you get to town you pull a few cards that let you do things like cook or upgrade if you have the gold. Maybe you unlock magic later? Regardless, there do not appear to be classes, and combat does not vary on repeated deaths.

Evertried
I’m not actually the biggest fan of Roguelike games, but Evertried convinced me not only by being very pretty, but also really giving this “Just one more try!” feeling a new meaning!
Also the game has relatively little RNG, so 90% of the deaths happening actually are the player’s fault. Something I hate and love at the same time! Being able to either try to go as fast as you can or take your time and think your moves through is a great thing, allowing everyone to learn in their own speed. And the feeling of killing an enemy or clearing a floor that previously gave me troubles for the first time is amazing!

UPDATE : 3 times in a row my “hard mode” run ends after 40 min on some kind of “NullPointerException”. The game is just not tested enough, wait a few months until the game is tested and all bugs are fixed : https://steamcommunity.com/app/1607040/discussions/0/3158706376169597835/
If you like “Into The Breach (ITB)” (best strategy game in 2018), you will like Evertried for sure. Most ITB mechanics are here with a light touch of Roguelite. The additional mechanics are not really useful (at least in normal mode), but they don’t prevent you to play, so it’s all good.

KaveXplorer
- The game is good for its wide variety of play styles. The way that skill upgrades are randomized makes each run unique. + Some shrines can change how you play completely. + Nice graphic design. - The black guy skill hitbox is bullshit. - Switching skills is a bit hard. - No music. Overall it’s good, the dev said those bad point will be improved in the Full Release, hope what he said is true.

I want to first off thank the developer for the free evaluation key provided to me. I also want to express that no keys have ever influenced my review or score in even the smallest way. The last Steam key provided from a developer made my MISS series and a 10% score… Just sayin’
KaveXplorer is a game that will likely appeal to fans of the Binding of Isaac crowd. People who enjoy rogue like games, bullet hell games, and action RPGs are also likely to enjoy this game. It’s very well coded, and is very challenging to play as well, like most rogue-like games are!

Minotaur Maze
Oh no! The Minotaur got me… I’ll have to play until I find a proper shotgun!
– Real player with 0.7 hrs in game
I’d recommend this game, it’s a nice little dungeon runner game.
Your goal is to navigate through mazes to rescue the princess and then …
The controls are simple and effective, you can adjust your camera angle too if needed.
You go through seven different mazes while the Minotaur is hunting you too.
Each maze gets bigger and the Minotaur becomes faster.
The game fullfills what it has announced, it has nice music and audio and a pleasant looking artstyle.
And it’s free.
Overall, i think it’s a nice little game to spend time on, relatively short depending on your pace but the Minotaur might surprises you around a corner.
