WizardPunk
Had a good time, reminded me of Custom Robo quite a bit which I loved as a kid. I didn’t play with anybody, because it’s not online multi, which kinda sucks. But the single player had a lot to do. The guilds are a bit awkward to get through, but playing with a full build on day 6 was pretty sweet, lots of things to think about, pretty complex. Looking forward to future patches!

Fast, fun, satisfying fighting game that incorporates a nice blend of different character progression elements. It’s quick to learn but difficult to master and there’s plenty to experiment with. I’m partial to Ignissa but Vito is a close runner up. Looking forward to future updates!

Dungeon Throne
TL;DR This game is a mix of Noita and Rogue Legacy, very fun if you’re on a budget :)
I feel like I got off on the wrong foot with this game. Originally, the game didn’t work at all for me which led me to leaving a negative review (Initial Review can be found below) and also refunding the game. The developer then got back to me within a few hours of my review telling me that he had updated the game.
All excited I decided to purchase the game again and give it a second try. All the issues I had previously mentioned, were gone. I played a couple of games and had a lot of fun. The enemies were neat, the room layouts looked fairly unique and the particle effects were really good. I played a total of 5 runs (Including the tutorial).

Runers
Summary: Spray n' pray kiting
Multiplayer: 2 local (?)
Completion: 20 hrs
Cards: Yes
Cloud: Yes
Runers is a twin-stick style roguelike. Unlike most roguelikes, this one comes closer to being one. It’s also crazy fast-paced. Being a real-time game, there’s very little opportunity to plan out your moves and attacks. While you can pause the game at any time, the sheer speed and volume of bullets, enemies, hazards, and repositioning effects makes dodging difficult. Add to that a low invulnerability period when hit, and you will find it is very easy to die in this game.

Overview
The concept is really solid. It’s a roguelike dungeon crawler. Similar in style to a twinstick, but you’ve got a handful of buttons to contend with. You pick a starting spell, ez pz. They all suck, so don’t stress it too much. You pick one of 19 blessings, which are passive effects that give minor bonuses or helpful effects for your character, and one of 19 classes, each of which has a unique active ability, varying greatly in type and use.
That’s all fine and good, but the real thing is the spell crafting system. You pick up runes and combiners from enemies as you play, and can create spells from these runes using the combiners. Here is where the depth comes in, with hundreds of possible combinations from all the runes through single, double, and triple combinations. Unfortunately, not all spells are created equally, and some will be more effective than others. Finding these spells combinations is a huge part of the fun, and most of your early hours in the game will be spent testing out rune combinations.

Fictorum
Note: I backed the game on Kickstarter, thus having played since the game’s alpha.
Fictorum is, in a word, wonderful. For me, it was the first experience I ever had with magic that actually feels really powerful. Magic that I can throw at a nearby house and watch it get blown to bits. But let’s start from the beginning.
In this game, you are a mage. The last mage of your order, the Fictorum. And you’re pretty mad at the ones responsible for the death of your order, and also pretty powerful. Logical conclusion, annihilate them all. And anyone that might be foolish enough to stand in your way. Or… just annihilate absolutely everything. You can, believe me.

First off, if you want a high production value game with a long indepth story, I would recommend Skyrim or The Witcher. That being said, this game has the best magic based combat I have ever seen.
Spellcasting:
Spells are customizable and modular. You have a spell tome that casts a type of spell and you have runes that you can add to the spell to vastly alter the spell’s properties. These runes can do anything from simply increasing the power of the spell to creating a familiar that casts the spell for you. For example, you can take a spell that calls one lightning ball and change it into a spell that fires 4 lightning balls that each seek out enemies while firing their own lightning bolts. You can also find or buy scrolls. Scrolls act as support spells that cannot be modified but can be applied to armor and accessories. By the way, all buildings are completely destructable and can be used to crush enemies.

Pursuit of the Bookkeeper
Roguelike game with an unique spell casting system.
To cast spells player has to block his line of sight with his spellbook, but the enemies won’t wait politely for you to do it, so you need to treat each fight as a test of your tactical skills, especially later in game when you face bosses and groups of different enemies.
Randomly generated dungeons - each time you decide to go into the deeps, a different computer-generated map awaits you. Every level has a staircase leading deeper. The further you go, the more enemies there are to challenge you.
Gather money to trade with the Merchant - he sells spellbooks and keys, which allow you to start from a corresponding type of dungeon. Merchant can be met randomly throughout your adventures.
Fight powerful bosses - each for a given dungeon type, they spawn randomly below the first level of the dungeon. If you reach level 20 you’ll meet The Bookkeeper.
Dungeons are dangerous! Beware of traps and don’t forget to find some food to survive in the depths.
Good luck young wizard. Make haste, the Bookkeeper must be stopped!

Arkane Rush
Really fun game, it’s not easy though. The gameplay matches perfectly with the essence of the game, if you want to succeed you gotta rush. You need to run, you have to dodge enemies and kill them at the same time. Nice graphics and music, they bring a cute and indie vibe to the game, what makes it fun, enjoyable and beautiful, besides being challenging. Really well-made game. Great job!

This is a great challenging game for the price!
The game doesn’t tell you much from the beginning, but soon you find out your way through the islands. The controls and objectives are intuitive and, if you have a reasonable skill at positioning yourself and firing at the same time, you should have no problem to beat the first level. THEN things start to get tricky and you will need discover how to combo the staffs to get through the following levels.
This is a hard game that I haven’t yet beaten, but the feeling that you are getting better and going farther into the game is just addictive. And for the price, I definitively recommend it!

Source of Madness
I’ve finished all of the current content, so I think I’m in a good position to critique the game as it is currently. Overall, this game is a real gem. I’m a fan of Lovecraftian-styled games along with rogues and sidescrollers, so this game is perfect for me. The character movement and combat starts out sluggish, but once you unlock some more dashes the pace becomes faster. The developers have already addressed this in an update today that bumped up the character movement, among other improvements. However it’s still a game that favors defense, and the bullet-sponge nature of the enemies is my biggest criticism. At times it can borderline on ridiculous. Also, the second level of Act 1 feels way too long, and in my opinion, doesn’t earn its length.

Right now, I’m coming off of a sugar rush like feeling after playing 5 hours of this game. In its current state the game is fantastic.
The game checks off all the boxes for a wide variety of gamers.

I could go on. I’m a huge fan of SoulsLike and Metroidvania games. Throw in the Roguelite concept where both the environment and your enemies are never the same is fantastic. The use of neural network AI to create the enemies is mind bendingly genius.
